Can a Christian get possessed That's some video. How much more do we need to see to realize Christians suffer a variety of serious mental illnesses? Look at the demon possessed man, he is possessed with undiagnosed mental illness, superstitions, ignorance, the whole lot.

Right below my comments is one of the quotes from the video about the demon possessed man. The quotes by Christians are just as goofy as the video itself. In fact, I thought the whole thing looked cheesy and phoney. The man was doing a very poor acting job, but, if he keeps practising he might improve and make a lot of money at it.
Wrong doing, bad habits, practicing wrong, defiling yourself (temple) with your servants (hands/eyes/mouth etc.) is conjuring the dead spirits to cling to you. Don't look at horror, gay, perversions, porno, some music? videos and don't chant lyrics with evil, shooting, smoking pot, beating women etc. that is inviting floating spirits waiting to take over/share your body. Generational curses break those bad habits put on you. Abide in God's word to free yourself. Lester Sumrall's book buy them!

more rhetorical bullshit. If you have a point to make just come out and say it this rhetorical question approach is not working, and it makes you seem really lazy and also unable to articulate the point you are trying to make. Also why don't you try supporting your points, I mean if you really are trying to persuade us poor mentally ill Christians that we are wrong then do it with some class and treat it as an essay so that it might hold water? hmm just a thought. You are obviously passionate enough to constantly be on here waging your little crusade why don't you get just a little more passionate and do it right. Also the little insults about mental illness iam are so weak, do you even know which mental illness you are talking about? How many years have you been a psychologist? Seems to me by the way you just throw insults, regurgitate old old ideas without any real insight to provide, and never back up your points or substantiate your claims you are the one with a cognitive deficit.

Being possessed by mental illness is such a strange thing isn't it?  Especially when one considers mental illness as both a curse (demon possession) and a blessing (hallucinations of God, Jesus, angels, etc) at the same time.

That's just too funny, really conjured up a strange mental image there. It's funny, how come in any of these possession videos we don't see things flying around, green vomit and heads doing 360 spins? Where are the sound effects? If such things like what Hollywood shows about possession really happened, they would have more credibility. I'm surprised no one has tried to post faked videos with Exorcist type effects.

No, I do not believe a real Christian can be demon possessed. I don't believe that this is possible because I don't believe that God would allow it. We, as believers, are under His protection. This does not mean that we cannot be tempted or influenced by the demonic however; it is quite possible that Christians will undergo severe spiritual warfare from the minions of Satan. Think of Job, for example. We can be tempted as Jesus Christ was, and influenced exactly as Jesus Christ and Job were, but no more than this, imo.
Question: "Can a Christian be demon possessed?"
Answer: The Bible does not explicitly state whether a Christian can be possessed by a demon. However, since a Christian is indwelt by the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:9-11; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19), it would seem unlikely that the Holy Spirit would allow a demon to possess the same person He is indwelling. This is sometimes a controversial issue; however, we strongly hold to the belief that a Christian cannot be possessed by a demon. We believe there is a distinct difference between being possessed by a demon and being oppressed or influenced by a demon. Demon possession involves a demon having direct control over the thoughts and/or actions of a person (Luke 4:33-35; 8:27-33; Matthew 17:14-18). Demon oppression or influence involves a demon or demons attacking a person spiritually and/or encouraging him/her into sinful behavior (1 Peter 5:8-9; James 4:7). Notice that in all the New Testament passages dealing with spiritual warfare, we are never told to cast a demon out of a believer (Ephesians 6:10-18). Believers are told to resist the devil (1 Peter 5:8-9; James 4:7), not to cast him out.
It is unthinkable that God would allow one of His children, whom He purchased with the blood of Christ (1 Peter 1:18-19) and made into a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17), to be possessed and controlled by a demon. Yes, as believers, we wage war with Satan and his demons, but not from within ourselves. The apostle John declares, “You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world” (1 John 4:4). Who is the One in us? The Holy Spirit. Who is the one in the world? Satan and his demons. Therefore, the believer has overcome the world of demons, and the case for demon possession of a believer cannot be made scripturally.
