I think you find God in serving others. Acts of selflessness.
Of course I am a Pagan so I generally run into my higher power in the middle of the woods somewhere.

As a male, finding the goddess is more appropriate. The woman seeks her god. Together is the balance of nature of god and goddess reflecting off each other as a representation of nature. You can find yourself in the other as they find themselves in you.

In nature? YES ! In meditation? YES
In prayer? Meditation can be another form of prayer
In reflection? The person that reflects back at me may not be the real me
In spiritual experiences? No delusions not allowed
In other ways? Do you mean by kowtowing to a control freak?

We as humans reside in a world of man made concepts, this is a truism.
A requirement for our linguistic systems says that for every is there must be an is not in order to describe it.
Can you really have good and/or bad without good and bad to describe one another. Fast and/or slow. Up and/or down. Life and/or death.
I for one view the what is and is not through the lenses of a Philosophical Taoist where we use Zen as a simple tool to see and understand what is really there.
Good Good and bad do not exist as they are two sides of the same coin at some point they join together to form something other in perfect harmony it is the way of the cosmos.
Bad where is the bad without the good it simply does not exist in reality.
I understand the "is" but I do not understand the "is not". To have the one we must have the other as a mirror image of the other they simply cannot stand alone.
Look at the symbol of the Tao there is a Yin and yang but there is also a line that separates them where they are in perfect harmony.
