RedSun,
Have you tried looking in Yahoo Groups? Perhaps you'll be able to find someone who lives not to far from you who is familiar with animal communications.

Red: there is a cool web called angelanimals dot net.......i get their newsletter every week, and I love it.
I have been 'sensitive' to animals for a number of years, and often find that they come to me when their owners are not 'listening'. Whether this is animal communication, I do not know, but I am definitely into learning more, and practise all the time.
Sweet Idaho Lady (sorry _gal , but I like that moniker!!! lol) Thank you, your welcome, and honey I hope you are beginning to feel better. As for the rock that works like caffeine......might not amber work? I read that it is used to boost positive energy and happiness, and that it is a powerful gem.
Anyone seen Pete around????? I think we lost him and knowledge....come back Pete, we miss you!!!!
Thank you Scarletmerrow! and welcome to the thread! Theology, eh???
I have done a little reading of my own (very little that is), and was surprised at how interested I became in the common messages. Now if only the leaders could keep the politics of religion out of things, maybe their 'lambs' wouldn't stray so far!
I would be interested in hearing what your analysis of the various religions is. Do you see a pattern emerging? Or possibly a merging? What else are you 'into'???
Djester: Tarot, is an art that follows a basic guidline of trusting the answers presented to you, but it is also an art that is mainly intuition, and only as good as the reader.
A classic Tarot deck consists of 78 cards - 22 Major Arcana, and 56 Minor Arcana.
The Major Arcana depict a man's journey through life, showing all the setbacks and opportunities along the way, and contain cards like Judgement, Temperance, The Fool, and Death (signifying death of old ways usually).
The Minor Arcana are similar to playing cards in that their are four suits: Cups or Vessels (hearts), Pentacles or Coins (diamonds), Wands, Staves, or Staffs (Clubs), and Swords (Spades). Each of the suits carries meaning, as well as the number on each card.
For example: imagine you are looking at the Four of Pentacles. Pentacles represent money, material possessions, the way you organize work and business. Four represents completion, stability, and structure. Put the two meanings together...and the four of pentacles symbolizes a healthy financial situation, about which you are probably quite satisfied, but there's a danger that this could lead to complacency and a materialistic, possibly even greedy approach to life.
Tarot is open to interpretation, and therefore requires an open mind in both the reader, and the subject. It can be used to answer general questions like "where am I in life?", and specific questions like "should I take this trip?"
I, personally, treat my cards with great respect...they are packed and handled with great care, and never mishandled. They are not a toy. When I attempt a reading, I ensure that there are no distractions, so that I can intuit subtle messages, and I give myself enough time to be thorough.
The Tarot run off 'energy', so it helps if the subject (usually myself, but I have done others) handles (shuffles or cuts) the cards, but is not necessary. When the subject is satisfied they are shuffled enough, they are cut (no not with scissors!), and dealt out into a specific pattern or layout. There are preset patterns, like the Celtic Cross, and the reader may have come up with some of their own. Different patterns are used for different readings. The cards are read in a particular order, and each has a meaning individually, but the whole layout has meaning too.
I will stop here....any questions, just ask......hope this helps..

This is EXACTLY the effect amber has on me. I'm sensitive to stimulants...even stimulating rocks and even a small amount of amber makes me jumpy. My daughter is just the opposite, she has large amber pieces and they never have that effect on her, but she could also drink a gallon of pure caffeine and not be effected.

Djester you probably need more answers from Empath sounds like she may keep tarot cards around.
Empath do you do long distance readings.....I have heard of that before.
Nancy Reagan used to get regular Tarot Readings from a psychic.

Thanks for the warm welcome!!
I don't see a pattern of a merging of the religions, but there are some similarities in them. I see that love is the most common. From there it just gets confusing with personal and/or political gain. I've studied some Native American Spirituality, Wiccan/ Pagan, Kabbalah, Western Myticism, Unity, and different denominations of Christianity. The discovery and translation of the Gospel of Judas I think is going to "rock" the Christian world. So, now I am really interested in the study of Gnosticism. Interesting though that there were some 3 dozen gospels and only 4 made it into the New Testament. Oh and one man got to choose those gospels. How did that happen? Because he was a catholic political leader of the time? Sorry, but I have had the hardest time with the Christian religion. Their text really gets twisted and turned to personal and political gain and control. And anyone can translate it to their own personal liking.
Personally I take the positive from what I read and incorportate it into my own life of love, light and peace.
I like astrology, the tarot, crystals and rocks, herbs, essential oils and ritual work. I like nature and follow the lunar and seasonl cycles. I really like the Wiccan/Pagan Sabbots and the history behind them. The Christians have incorporated most of them and made them Christian, but most don't even know it.
My newest reading is on Quantum Physics and the Pleiadians (light beings from another time and diminsion). They're message is a powerful one of light and love and for us humans to merge together towards that light and love to make a change on this planet as a collective of conscionsness.
I'm a massage therapist, so I'm also interested in many modalities of healing. My daughter is studying on Quantum Touch. She's a massage therapist too. I think this will really help our clients.
I look forward to learning more from this wonderful group of people.

I have seen this name a couple of times now, and think I will research it, because it seems to have a parallel to what I want to accomplish with this web. Quantum Physics is the underlying science, I beleive.
As for Quantum Touch, I have been trying in vain to find information on it, but I have only found one useful site, and even that one is limited in the knowledge it passes on. Sign up for this, sign up for that....it'll help everything....and there is no doubt in my mind that it can, but I want more information!!! (Number Five is ALIVE.....neeeeeed input!!)
Can you pass on any helpful sites? You said your daughter is also studying QT....where??? I would be interested in that myself.

The Pleiadians and their teaching, I feel, are a parallel to what you are trying to accomplish here. They channel their information. Barbara Marciniak has many books. The first one is "Bringers of the Dawn ~ Teachings from the Pleiadians". Her books are more on the emotional aspects of their teachings. I would start with that book. Barbara Hand Clow has a some books too on the subject. Her books are more on the scientific side of their teachings - Quantum Physics and Diminsions. I would also start with her book "The Pleiadian Agenda ~ A New Cosomology for the Age of Light". Both go well together and can be read together.
My daughter is studying this subject through books. Sorry, didn't mean to imply that she was studying somewhere. We would love that!!! The book my daughter is reading is "Quantum Touch ~ The Power to Heal" by Richard Gordon. He's also written "Your Healing Hands". He has a site at www.quantumtouch.com.
I hope this helps!!

Thanks for the leads Beach and Empath, oh and you too Sweet ID Lady!
So, far.......as being "work in progress" and on a learning curve....I have had the most profound interaction with a cat. But I want to learn more......of the various species etc and how to better use the skills, rather than thinking......."what in the heck was that?".
I wonder.......hmmmm......as I was writing this.........I worked with a horse trainer, that did a lot of "Liberty" work with the horses (it's kind of like working "off-leash" with a dog" and getting the horse to respond to you without halter, harness, ropes, etc..... no physical connection, just voice and body language.........Just how much of his "training" was on a psyhic level of communication too? He was really good!!!! And I can get mine to do it a bit........it's really kind of cool! Something to work on I guess.

Red: Animals use body language to a far, far greater extent than we often realize, and if you really watch and "listen" you can communicate with them very well. I have the best luck with cats, as I have watched them closely for many years, and it irks me to no end when people say that 'cats do what they want'. Maybe someday I will blog on this....
Anyways...I find that animals communicate 'psychically' with images and not words (maybe because we speak differently), although dogs and cats can use both. As with meditation, and spirit guides, you need to go within and open your mind and if you feel a connection, pay attention to any images forming in your head, and use detailed pictures to let the animal know what you are trying to say. Remember to use as many details in the image as possible, as the picture replaces the words you would normally use.....
As for the Liberty trainer, I would imagine he has the gift of animal communication, as well as a good understanding of horses and how they communicate.
Hope this helps!!

Hello all... Sorry Empath couldn't resist the opening to tease you not metaphysical I know........haha.
Scarlet you seem like an old soul. I mean that purely in the sense that you seem like you have walked this way before and your daughter too. Its a good thing. Welcome I look forward to reading some of the books you suggest.
Red good to see you again. The human/animal connection is an interesting one. I love cats and I love to look at them sometimes and talk to them without saying anything and running my hand down their backbone without actually touching them. They respond to all that stuff and know that you know their soul. Cats are cool. Horses too.
Got to get off my buttocks and go get some amber and hit a rock shop......for stones mannnnnnnn. Off to work adios.
Thanks to all.

Just a sidebar...the latest and greatest on caffeine is that it's genetic, and they can actually test you to see if caffeine will affect you or not... I don't know if that applies to amber too though.

Mornin' Beach...guess I'm not awake enough yet...the test isn't just for whether it will keep you up at night, but for whether it will affect heart/blood pressure, etc. Apparently that's the reason for the mixed bag of results on caffeine effects on the system...it depends on the individual. Novel concept, we're not all alike...
And Annie, you really are innocent (the word doesn't really mean unknowing, the literal meaning is 'without harm' from the latin root nocere, to cause harm). End of language lesson for today (I gotta stop this pedantic stuff, must be the full moon).

I'm reading - just not posting alot. I've gotten a little over my head in work projects and my kids are home for spring break - so I'm spread way too thin right now. I'm still available by telepathy or astral projection - just try not to scare the dog if you drop in. Keep the thread going - I'll find time to post more in a few days.
Blessings,
Pete
