Sweets I read with interest the link that you provided longgggggggg link. After all of it has been read I can see myself not participating in the acension techniques. Very interesting though. In the article there are some "none to shabby" intellectuals talking about all of it .....too much for me I like to keep it simple.

I have long defined "hurt" as a selfish unwillingness to forgive. At times, even with that definition prominent in my psyche, I have nursed "hurts" until I reached a point where I tired of the harm I was doing myself and determined to love and forgive. If he is working toward that end, he may be a keeper; if he is locked in selfishness and victim, you deserve better.

Lacy, that's a very good way of looking at it. I guess the best thing for me to do is try to (gently) find out. Then see if
a) he wants to rid himself of the hurt (maybe he doesn't know how)
b) if he is open to a little help (whether it be me or someone else).
I keep in mind "the Lord helps those who help themselves". If there is hurt/anger, and he wishes to overcome it, I am willing to help. Key word, HELP....not wave a magic wand and make it all disappear (or be with someone who chooses to wallow in misery).

So are you saying the thread on the Ishaya was a discussion between a member and a past member of the Borg.....whoops, I mean the International Society of Ascension.
I don't know if I would appreciate being rejected because of a picture being angry........that would make me angry too. proceed cautiously.
Beach, the picture isn't "angry". He looks quite pleasant in the pics he's sent. But when the picture was read, anger/temper comes through. That's what I'm talking about. I am quite fond of him, know that sometimes risks must be taken so don't want to run away from something good.....but I don't want to get into something unhealthy. Can one be optimistically cautious?

Y'know Annie, I was just thinking something along those lines. I don't want to go into anything blindly, but I really need to learn to trust my own intuition.
Don't get me wrong, the picture readings were quite accurate and I have shared them with him, and he has been quite amazed at the accuracy. I have read pictures, and I know it can be done, so I don't "see" these friends as presenting something false. (btw, his mom is intuitive, yet he doesn't discuss it much with others as it tends to "scare" people. I'm glad to have found someone I can share this part of my life with.)

Yes, RedSun, that's what it's called. I just had a brain fart is all. When I took my Psychic Development classes, we learned how to do psychometry with photos and jewelry.

Beach, you and Annie are absolutely right. I've been afraid, however, of having a repeat of my last marriage. I've got to learn how to overcome that fear because I can see how it can be a roadblock to a good relationship.

Morning folks. Red I wasn't poo poo ing Psychometry, I am all all for things like that in fact its pretty fascinating. Didn't know if I came across like that or not if I did I didn't mean too. Sweets try to live in today not yesterday there have been a lot of things written about dealing with the past and not dragging it forward into the present. Use this thread to work on the baggage that you have about previous relationships.
Empath you need a vacation.......how long before your trip?  Don't forget pack everything you need turn off the lights and lock the door.

No, I was just putting a name to what you guys were talking about (psychometry, even if I can't spell it the same way each time...... ) just in case someone else out there didn't know......You know..there are definately "Inquiring Minds that Want to Know" here on this Web of Light!
Personally, I think psychometry is cool....and some folks are really good at it.......you know the ones that find lost kids, pets, keys, etc.......you know the important stuff! 
And Yes.........Empath sounds like she needs a break.......a vacation.......a retreat........a holiday to re-energize her "ever-ready batteries"  ......so we should all send her some restive thoughts and energy until she gets there, right?!? That is.....if she likes that kind of stuff.....you know!

she'll be ok though......maybe she has a plan.......a good trip should do it.
Sweets Marianne Williamson talks about having other relationships affect our present relationships. She talks about having MOVING TRUCKS loaded with our neurosis pull up and unload. I am always amazed in the profiles that the folks would put outlandish slogans like.......
BAGGAGE FREE..........very light baggage......wanting someone who is also baggage free........ that kinda thing.
Here is my take and that is baggage DEALT WITH or DEALING WITH words like working through former relationships. In all these cases communication and self processing helps heal the baggage snafu.
Work on it quick before it affects this relationship. Bring him into the picture of the healing of the former relationships if you can.

Empath - Yes, I do need to work through it....or it wouldn't have been a concern to me. I have GOT TO do that. As far as rushing (a relationship)....been there, done that (and yes, the results were not so good.)

Empath.....what's up with the resistance/fear factor regarding psychometry???
If you would not mind expanding on that one a bit.....just curious......if it is true fear......one needs to "turn and look/face the fear"....and will find there is no sound basis for it (the fear) and if there is, by addressing it, one will work through it. Right?
