Awww......thank you guys!!!  You are the bestest!!
Just yesterday, I felt like I'd had the crap beat out o' me...I was tired beyond exhaustion.....last night I only got four hours sleep, and I worked for a ten hour shift today on an empty stomach.....funniest thing is.......I feel great!!! Muscles don't hurt, I'm not tired, I feel confident, centered and wholly connected again....
So I want to repeat: THANK YOU!! Healing energy was received!  
BTW...I hear Spongebob is not feeling very well.......anyone care to join me in sending him some energy????

I have a similar method of "Cleansing out negative energy"
and perhaps it can help you Empath.....
This mediation is from an old audio tape I have:
It prompts the person to visualize yourself standing under
a beautiful waterfall in the rainforest. Hear the waterfall
rushing down over you, birds calls echoing through the surrounding
tropical trees. (This first part pulls your mind away from
present distractions)..Sense the colors, multiple greens, blues....
Next, visualize a white light streaming down from an opening
from the top of the trees into your crown chakra. Let it
completely engulf you.
As the water falls over your body to cleanse it, visualize
the negative energy being weighted down by the water
slowly step by step, through your head, face, neck, shoulders,
arms, torso, upper/lower legs and feet. Visualize violet
light reaching up to the bottom of your feet. Like a magnet
this violet light pulls all the negativity out of your body
from the earth/rocks you are standing on under the waterfall.
Let the negative energy leaving pass through and leave
your feet into the earth. The violet light cleansing and
voiding it out completely.
Helpful addition to the mood of meditation:
I also have a nature tape that I play with this meditation.
Typically I like to do this one after a particularly loooong
day at school when the students are over active and
I'm frazzeled....It works all the time for me!

Additional insight:
You can also do the above meditation in the shower!
Take care to always visualize the negative energy
being filtered down, passing through the bottom of your
feet and neutralized in the earth by violet cleansing
light...

Quantum Touch is another type of energy healing. There are many schools and names - Donna Eden simply calls hers "Energy Healing", Richard Gordon calls it "Quantum Touch", There's also Theraputic Touch (a very gentle method designed for use with chronic pain or childbirth), Chinese Chi Gong (or Gung or Kong), Aurvedic Polarity Therapy, Energy Tapping (based on a combination of Tibetan healing and Chinese acupuncture), and the list goes on. All work with the same energy. All work. Some give more tools to work with, some are less restrictive about who can use them. All that's really needed is a positive intent to heal. The more knowledge one brings to it, and the more preparation and practice given to gathering and passing energy, the more energy is gathered and passed.
Even "modern medicine" has had to admit that our bodies contain everything necessary to heal themselves, though not always as perfectly or as quickly as might happen with surgery, for instance, to mend a bad break in a bone. We have let go of much of this internal knowledge and it takes time to reclaim it. The more we learn and share that learning, the closer we come to being whole again.

It appears Reiki comes under many disquised names....
This book has a good section about headaches, migrianes and how
the person doing the healing while sandwiching the hands on the head,
must "Run the energy" into the Sutures of the skull...It also mentioned
this technique is good for "Emotional Healing"....and that we can do it
on ourselves if needed...
I'm reading the section on Animal healing (want to practice on my black lab, smile), energzing water/food and distance healing...very interesting stuff!!!
Beachnut, Richard Gordon also wrote a popular book regarding Quantum Healing
called "Your Healng Hands"...Amazon away!!!!

Quantum Touch isn't Reiki. They are different names/methodologies for energy healing. The "routine" I posted earlier is Quantum Touch. It's all about intent and breathing to raise vibrations. There are no symbols like Reiki. I plan to go to a workshop next weekend, if there's still room. Someone else and I have posted a great website a few times: www.quantumtouch.com There's a forum there with categories for healing requests, healing stories, etc. You can learn more there. I plan to become a practioner, then an instructor. Ya'll can come to my house for a workshop.

Is it possible to be a conduit of Universal Energy without being attuned, or well studied? There have been many times in recent years when I have felt like I am 'helping' to heal something, or someone, or am 'being called' upon for a certain task. Am I deluded in thinking that I can 'send' energy without certification?
Of course, I still plan on following up with metaphysical studies on several, if not many, topics/modalities....I am just curious if I have imagined this happening....

Sounds like you're FINALLY getting the message. 
Do you think all these "systems" and "religions" have always been around to give folks like us "permission" to know the things we know, and rules about how to "feel" the things we already feel? Yes, working with a group can help enhance energy, especially for someone who doesn't experience it strongly to learn how it feels so they can begin to draw on it solo.
It's kinda like singing and dancing - you can take classes, even get a degree, and that definitely helps if you're going to work precisely in a group, 
but sometimes the strongest, most beautiful, most joyful singing and dancing is done by someone just FEELING the energy flow.
Trust your gift, lady. Be gentle with yourself, and as the fears subside, the joy will come.

Singinsolo and susiq: deep down I DO trust my instincts, and that FEELING of I AM, but lately I have tried reaching out with it to various people who are close to me, and when they ask questions I begin to doubt. I know that, with studying, will come the answers to those questions, but right now, I cannot afford the studies, yet I get all tongue tied when trying to explain what I KNOW to be true.
I was, or am, (or something) under the impression that the certifications and attunements are there to enable one to harness the energy, and not to enable one to access it.
I know that my studies will never end, but I feel like I am holding back a very large 'flood', and the 'dam' is about to break....and I find this makes me a tad nervous.

I do not know if this will help, but it's my thoughts related to the matter...
There was a time when childbirth was a natural act for a woman -- when she might even do it all by herself. And then there were women who assisted in childbirth and eventually they had to be licensed and childbirth became a medical condition. And even in the medical condition, there were friends who did a bit of massage and comforting and now that has become a certified role...and so there are all these specialists to perform something that at one time was natural and a solitary process.
The answer to the questions can be "I don't know -- I just have to do this -- It just is..." God said to Moses "I AM" -- it's the verb "to be" -- another form of the word "is" -- Just BE and trust that it is God within you...we are human BEings. I just noticed your subject to the last post...appropriate huh?

Good post Lacy. I have asked some people on this site before to evaluate their own situation and to go to coping.org to take some tests on there and see what might happen. Several folks have said that they didn't know that place exists but I have found the relationships tests and anger and grief writings to be most helpful.
Hope you do well Empath. I'll send more energy.
I went to the Quantum Touch site mentioned on here I believe. Fascinating site. Expensive to do initially but wow talk about some results. Looks good. I will get the book suggested by Meadowlark and start working on it. Thanks Mlark and SS and Susie Q and Sweets.......did I leave anyone out....who(m)ever I left out thanks......I did the shower thing for stress it was great.

Yes, Lacy, the topic is not coincidental.....*smile
Beach, the "flood" I speak of is not feeling as in anger, or sadness or the like.......it is energy that I sense is to 'go through me'.....it feels powerful.
I have dealt with my demons, and am surviving fairly well in a negative atmosphere, as long as I get time to myself once in awhile to meditate, which sometimes those around me prevent.
I thank you for the concern though.

When you meditate, do you ever "play" with the energy? It can help to familiarize yourself with your energy field and "grow" it, or just get used to its edges and stuff. You can do it with eyes closed, sitting calmly, hands a few inches apart to start, till you feel a "ball" of energy between the palms of your hands. You can push against it gently to feel its size and strength, and slowly let the ball grow and push your hands further apart. Visualize its color and brightness, and how wonderful it makes you feel, just holding it, and then imagining what a lovely feeling it can pass on to someone else - like a warm bath, or a shower of fragrant rose petals, giving it as much sensory energy as you like, to make it personally yours.
It is difficult when you're somewhere with no kindred spirits to talk with, surrounded by people who, at the very least, think you foolish, or worse, somehow evil, when all you're trying to do is learn and help. I'll keep you on my "white light" list, as I know how draining it can be. I was many years into studydng and feeling an outsider before I got the chance to share and learn from others who had followed a more open path. It's coming for you. I feel it strongly. Your need to know and heal is greater than your fear. Your heart is true.
