I have an 81 year old friend who just learned she has a spot on her right lung 
She has the energy of someone at least 25 years her junior and is a beautiful and rare light.
Her name is Eveline and we are dear friends.....she is very fightened and struggling to cope with the fact that her boyfriend of 4 years has seemingly left her alone with this.....she feels stunned and abandoned by the man she so loves.
A biopsy can't be taken until the nodule is at a certain size......in the mean time, she has other tests to be completed but the pulmonary doctor told her he does think it is cancer based on the x-ray and cat scan.
I believe in miracles and I am asking the MD community to deeply hold Eveline in prayer.....even if only to simply whisper her name once a day......I know she is a complete stranger to you, but I love her with all my heart and ask for her healing or to be at peace or whatever it is she most needs right now.
I will keep you updated as she lets me know what's going on.....she sees the doctor again this Wednesday.

She is not a stranger to friends of yours on here.I'll pray for your friend AngelLight.
This is off topic a bit but today in church a lady asked prayers for her mother who is 90 years old and her twin sister.They dont live together but we all got a laugh when she told us that they both showed up for there birthday party wearing the same dresses.
The prayers were for their safety because they had both recently passed there drivers exam and together purchased a brand new car.

My Soul is filled with gratitude for such a loving response for Eveline, her boyfriend and the women Jankia was asked to pray for.
I too will carry them in my prayers Jankia.
Thank you everyone for such an immediate response of tenderness in thought, word, and deed. And as I've shared, I will keep people posted as I become more aware of what is going on.
This means the world to me to have people reach out in LOVE and in prayer.

Hello Everyone. I just got off the phone with Eveline. Her pulmonary doc wants to just dive in and do surgery, taking half her right lung without a conclusive diagnosis of lung cancer.....she is a poor candidate for surgery because of hx of heart problems, etc.
She wishes to take the more conservative route by having what is called a PET Scan done. PET stands for "Positron Emission Tomography."
This type of scan is considered "one of the most powerful and accurate diagnostic imaging machines available today, According to Michael C. Roarke, M.D., Director of Nuclear Radiology at Mayo Clinic Scottsdale, CT and MRI show anatomy well, but they often don’t indicate whether a lesion is benign or malignant. Dr. Roarke adds that PET shows the function of the lesion and this helps differentiate between benign and malignant tissue.
For the millions of people suffering from cancers such as lung, colorectal, esophageal, melanoma, and lymphoma, the PET scan can identify areas of cancer spread, distinguish between scar tissue and active tumor, and help determine cancer response to chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
As an alternative to biopsy as a diagnostic tool, the PET scan is effective in characterizing nodules seen in the lung on chest x-ray or CT. For example, if the PET scan shows that a lung nodule is benign, then the nodule can be monitored with follow-up chest imaging rather than having the patient undergo an invasive needle biopsy or surgery. If the PET shows that the nodule is malignant, then the patient can proceed to surgery without undergoing the biopsy."
She is scheduled to undergo this Scan within a week......some docs say it's a great diagnostic tool, others disagree. Nonetheless, she asked me to thank each and every person who is praying for her. She is more than moved that you would pray for her, a woman you do not personally know. She strongly believes in the power of prayer, as do I.
Eveline has also decided to try and be as positive as possible despite her fears and tears, and if the nodule is malignant she'll take it one day at a time. She knows this is all she can do for now.

Eveline has my prayers also.. and I have a few close friends that have had to use the PET scan... it saved their lives. My prayers to you also, Angel... for strength to support your friend.
