Did anyone see the interview this morning?
Bill Clinton did a fantastic job and I was glad to see him put that fellow from Fox, in his place.
Also, I must confess that I enjoyed watching someone that could actually think on their feet and be able to talk with passion and intelligence!
He made some very good points and brought out some truths that needed to be spoken. Such as, he made a lot of effort to capture Bin Ladin, and all he heard from the republicans that he was "obsessed" with him. Now they want to say he did nothing. Actually it was Bush that did nothing, not Bill Clinton.
I don't agree with everything Bill Clinton has done, but I do agree with a lot.

I listened to the "man" lie for 8 years. I don't need another 15 minutes of the same.

I watched it and it looked like he was the usual domineering jerk. So full of himself that he never listens to anyone else.
Put Chris in his place? Heck he is already there. He just made an ass out of himself and tried to defend the indefensible.

And you people talk about our "Bush bashing"?
This is what YOU did for years and years and years. All of you seem to have forgotten about that though and just love to critisize us.
Sorry, but you didn't hear Clinton lie for 8 years. He did some very good things for this country. I could make you a long list, but you probably wouldn't read it.
The biggest thing I had against him was not Monica. I could care less about that. It was him helping to further the globalization agenda.
Today, he did a great job and like I said, it was a refreshing change to watch someone who could actually talk with some sense.
Can you imagine putting Bush with a hostile interviewer? It would be a major disaster!
Clinton administration negotiator Mansoor Ijaz speaks. By the way this fellow was not the Clinton Administrations negotiator. Apparently he did try to negotiate with Clinton about some things, but didn't appear to have been given an audience or maybe credibility.
mansoor Ijaz, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, is chairman of a New York-based investment company
At least that is what he was some years ago, when he wrote that article.
And in case you are wondering whether this council is a government agency, it is not.
The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) is an American foreign policy think tank

Clinton was definitely a bit sensitive over the bin Laden/al Qaeda thing. Also interesting was what the roundtable thought of the interview afterward. Even the Clinton sympathizers said he came off rather petulant and overly defensive.
Anyway, for those that may have missed it....Complete Interview

I didnt see it,but I sure wouldnt hail Bill Clinton over that president that you hate BJ864. I dont know about you but I have seen many who stated that they could care less about his involvement with Monica because his business in private mean nothing. We all have private business but we all are not holding the highest office in this country while being unfaithfull to our wives. Bush does have something Clinton didnt, the courage to not hide from himself.

I especially like this part:
Wallace said Sunday he was surprised by Clinton's "conspiratorial view" of "a very non-confrontational question, 'Did you do enough to connect the dots and go after Al Qaida?'"
"All I did was ask him a question, and I think it was a legitimate news question. I was surprised that he would conjure up that this was a hit job," Wallace said in a telephone interview. Oh but...
Sorry, but you didn't hear Clinton lie for 8 years.
Nope he most certainly didn't. The little perjury thingy... Ummm... He was confused. Misguided. He didn't understand the concept of oath and lying on the stand. No biggie. He's a democrat after all.

I miss having an intelligent president who's fiscally responsible.
As for lying, I don't see Clinton's worst lie coming remotely close to the lies that Reagan told (i.e. funneling weapons to Iraq, against Congress's wishes, that would eventually be used to kill American soldiers) or the lies that Bush told (making a bogus claim of WMD to start a war which killed and maimed a large number of American soldiers).
Most people don't realize that it was Reagan who armed Bin Laden to the teeth, trained al Qaida, and funneled money into the fundamentalist organizations. At the time they were fighting the Soviets, and it seemed like a good idea. Unfortunately, the policy backfired.
As for Lewinsky... meh. Couldn't care less.
Yeah, I thought he did a fantastic job too. It made me a bit sad because it's been so long since I've listened to a president sound intelligent. Bush's Quayle like stupidity is an embarrassment to the intelligent folk of our country.

Now, I didn't like President Clinton's lying about sex, but he did do many things well. With that said, I did not agree with his promotion of NAFTA and globalization. Even a good president isn't going to be perfect!
As a former president I think he has done a fine job. He went over to the area affected by the tsunami with President George HW Bush, also another good ex president. They worked hard to help get aid to those in need.
Now, President Clinton has been involved in the effort to increase awareness of another serious threat to our globe---global warming. The summit that they had recently involved many people, including President Clinton.
Outside of George W (total idiot) all this mudslinging about George HW and Bill C. should STOP!!!! They are basically decent men at heart who are not perfect!!!!!!

Bill clintons lie about a blow job under oath got no one killed. Bill clintons blow job killed no one. Bill clintons rein yeilded america the greatest economic boom since........ let me rephrase that! Bill clintons rein yeilded america the greatest economic boom for those who are not in the top 1% than any other president in modern history. Meaning your era Bill clinton also didnt make president fox his best friend only to get cheap laborers for his friends so they could just get richer. Bill clinton's mother didnt tell the nation on national tv that these people of the hurricane stuck in the superdome were lucky because it was a step up from there regular lives.
I'll stop now!
Hey Mary, You have to crack open the heads of some and put a note in it. They just dont get it!
Hey Null if poor people want to think they are republican, I think they are too far gone already. it's nice that you care though!
BJ, I'm with ya

The difference... Bill Clinton lied under oath. That's... against the law. So what?
Reagan defied Congressional legislation about giving weapons and training al-Qaida. That's breaking the law. As a result, tens of thousands of Americans died and hundreds of billions of dollars have been lost.
Bush W. lied about WMD. I don't know if Powell and RIce were sworn in to Congress or not, however, that is definitely conspiracy, which is federal felony. He could conceivably be tried for felony in all 50 states as well, since his actions resulted in loss of life from every state in the union. As a result, thousands of Americans have died, and who knows how many billions of dollars were lost.
Additionally, we've lost our "start one war for free" card that we earned when our towers went down. Iran gaining a nuclear bomb is worse than nearly anything else I can conceive of in the middle east. Iraq was a miscalculation. If we needed to attack another country, it would be Iran. Now.
How could you say that lying about a blowjob which hurt nobody (except causing Hillary a lot of embarrassment), even under oath, could possibly be worse?

Presidential OATH of Office:
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States."
And how many times has that oath been broken or "bent"?

As long as there's a lawyer there's a lie. And all of them are lawyers that have lawyers. My greatest fear is that more and more people will be shoved to the back of the line while the top 1% get richer.

Absolutely. If there's one thing that radical Islam should be teaching us, it's:
The most dangerous person is the man who feels like he has no options left to him. I'm very lucky to have the career that I have. I'm definitely on the good side of the distribution of wealth, thanks to my education and desire to constantly improve my intellectual abilities in every way conceivable. It's an obsession for me.
But sooner or later, people are going to get sick of living in squalor when a select few, like the CEO of Exxon, make 11 million dollars a day. And on top of that get millions of options that are valued at stock share prices from like the prehistoric Flintstone days. Those options are worth hundreds of millions because the expiry price is like ... a few bucks.
I think Republicans have lost sight of that. Sooner or later, we're going to have a lot of very angry people. Trickle down doesn't work well. The basic premise of trickle down is great until you realize it doesn't account for human greed.
A good example of that is rich folks who get convicted of tax evasion. I mean... for what purpose? Why on Earth would someone who makes a mil per year want to cheat on his taxes? Isn't that enough?
For that reason, a company with shareholders and board of directors wants to maximize their earnings because it raises their credit, lowers the stated risk of their debt, makes it easier to raise money.
When deciding on whether to buy a better health plan for workers or to put out a quarterly earnings that show stronger growth, it's pretty clear what most businesses would choose.
