This announcement gave me a little bit of hope back.

I think the American people will be VERY receptive to him this time, if the media doesn't succeed in blacking him out again.

He has continued to stand up for the American people against some of the most powerful people on the planet. The man is loaded with courage.

Yeah, a Department of Peace is loony. Protecting the environment is loony too. We don't need peace or clean water or nuthin' like that.

Dennis Kucinich, named as the 7th worst mayor of American history has such great quotes like "I have a holistic view of the world," I see the world as interconnected and interdependent and that leaves no room for war." He also has this one where we can begin to understand your connection with this guy. He is such a people person that after bankrupting the city of Clevedland, he had to have sharpshooters on the stadium roof and wear a bullet proof vest just so he could throw the first pitch without fear of getting wacked.

Dennis Kucinch
"In our soul's Magnificent, we become conscious of the cosmos within us. We hear the music of peace, we hear the music of cooperation, we hear music of love. In our soul's forgetting, we become unconscious of our cosmic birthright, blighted with disharmony, disunity, torn asunder from the stars in a disaster ..."

Yes, definitely this guy is not facsist, it's rumored that the Godmother of his daughter, Shirley McClaine is going to be his National Security Advisor Oh, his 2001 ban on space based and other exotic weapons had an entire para related to Art Bells chemtrails

Similar to Kerry, he flip flops on some pretty core issues like - abortion. He opposes abortion but now that he's running seems to have changed his mind. When confronted with it, his comment was "I haven't been a leader on this. These are issues I would not have chosen to bring up."

Of course, the best president is a follower right?

Hey, wanna have some fun? Just take any name off that list and key it into Google along with the word 'socialist'

Kerry wasn't the flip flopper. Bush was and is. How many reasons did he give for the war?! Flip, flop, flip, flop.... Back to Kucinich: It's time we have a candidate who thinks peace is important.

As opposed to what? A candidate who says they are for war and a filthy environment? Name one who says that.

How many reasons did he give for the war?

Well, there is about nine of them that are importent,

- show America has the will to help allies and destroy foes thereby providing a carrot and stick to all

- depose a regional threat in Saddam that would have to be
dealt with sooner or later

- force action from SA to take care of it's radicals

- pressure other regimes in the area not to provide passive or active support to Jihadists

- position US troops in the region in force

- aid their global and NATO mission by having another base
which they can place strategic air support

- support and help create an Arab democracy as an example
to others

- conduct regime change as per Clinton bill with the approval of congress

- free a country and it's people from a tyrant

which one did he 'flip flop' on?

BJ,

I can understand you wanting someone for president who wants peace, I do too, but looking at this site made me realize that I wouldn't be able to support kucinich in 2008 since he doesn't seem to want to fix the problem of illegal immigration.

Actually I kinda like Dennis Kucinich because I think he's a honest man. That doesn't mean I'll vote for him, I disagree with him too much for that but his honesty gets a thumbs up from me.

Dennis Kucinich has a lot of plus's.

He was 100% right about the war against Iraq, from the first.

He is not funded by corporations, therefore is not beholden to anyone.

He is very ethical and honest (no matter what the party) and actually voted to impeach Clinton.

He is for everyone having health care.

He would be a world diplomat and calm down a lot of the violence going on around the world.

He is very much for protecting our environment.

There are others that I will post later.

I wouldn't be able to support kucinich in 2008 since he doesn't seem to want to fix the problem of illegal immigration.

I don't think we are going to find anyone who will meet our individual wants 100%, but Kucinich meets most of mine.

I think he is the best of the lot and our only hope for someone who will not give us more of the same.

I would prefer him over Hillary, Obama or Edwards.

Hopefully he and Hillary will share the same ticket.
What could make it an easier election for the Republicans?
Oh,I forgot...Howard Dean

You won't have to worry about him and Hillary being on the same ticket. They are poles apart. They would never be able to run together.

Let's don't forget that Howard Dean helped put the democrats back in power. Do the republicans have it easier now?

The American people are sick of the same old same old and want someone that will represent the middle class and the poor. Here is our chance. How many of you will take it and how many will continue to kiss the boot that keeps kicking them??????????????????????????????

He is no Jimmy Carter either.

Watch him in the debates. He can be very passionate about what he believes in. He will hold the democratic contenders accountable for what they stand for and he will make sure what needs to be brought out in the open will be! If nothing else, that is a good purpose he will serve. I really enjoyed watching a couple of them squirm, when he asked them to tell us how they voted on something! He has given some really good speechs on the house floor.

The media is already playing him down. Why? A couple of reasons. He doesn't take corporate money, so he has no hopes of getting into the millions that Hillary and Obama will have. Also, they don't want him in power, because he cannot be bought.

He has more ethics and courage than anyone I can think of in D.C. He reminds me a lot of Wellstone. Remember him?

I know that it would be a miracle for him to get name recognition and exposure enough to be a real challenge without the millions needed, but one can still hope, can't they?

sounds like a song from the late 60's

Kucinich is very very passionate about his beliefs I'll give him that
but he is to the left what Pat Robertson is to the right .

IMO very very unelectable
America will never vote for a fringe canidate no matter what side he is on and Kucinich is close to as far left as they come.

I say again, watch him in the debates. He will do everything he can to keep them honest. Believe me when I tell you he is an asset in getting the truth out to the people about a lot of things. You don't have to be for him to appreciate what he will add to the campaign.

This pretty much explains where he is on immigration.

http://kucinich.house.gov/Issues/Issue/?IssueID=1562

Yes, he is "left". Guess what? Thats what a real democrat is. There isn't many left. They have all slipped over to the middle and the right too much to suit me and many others.

Why would a democrat want someone who isn't a "left"? I don't. If I wanted a republican I would be a republican.

If i want entainment from debates I'll watch Sharpton or Pat Buchanan

the thing about DK is that he appeals to a very small amount of people ...bj my dear perfect opputournity to get his name out there ...eduacate the people ...some people ( verey unlikely me ) can be swayed .i did the same for alan keyes in 2000..though he did crappy ..i was very very proud to be a part of his campaign ...my new passion is getting out the libertarien canidates

I belive a vast majority of people are swayed for the wrong reasons at the polls ...people need to vote with their hearts and minds instead of what katie couric ,tom brokaw, bill oriely and rush "damn im outta vicodin"limbaugh tell them too

main reasons Kucunich would not get my vote is he spends a lot of time telling us whats wrong ...as do many democrats ...we know whats wrong ...how ya gonna fix it

i am not a fan at all of a national healthcare system ...i abohor the idea of gun control(unless im controlling the gun)..I am staunchly pro life and I believe the IRS and The ATF should be outlawed and declared unconstitunal

Hi BJ,

I checked out that link you posted to Kucinich's site where he talks about where he stands on immigration matters. Reading the part where he talks about border control, you get the impression he is strongly opposed to illegal immigration and will do more than most in order to stop it. But how do you square what he says on his site with the link I posted further up? It seems like he is trying to make himself sound more opposed to illegal immigration than he actually is.
He voted against the 700 mile border fence that Hilary, Obama, Biden, Feinstein and Schumer voted for.
He voted in favor of not withholding federal funds from cities that keep their cities sanctuaries for illegal aliens, which are in violation of federal law(a law signed into being by Bill Clinton in 1996). The vote for H. Amdt. 288 to H.R. 2862 failed by only 18 votes, so it had significant democrat support.
In his defense, he has voted against bills which jeopardize the jobs of U.S. citizen workers by importing large numbers of foreign workers. Thats something at least.

http://profiles.numbersusa.com/improfile.php3?DistSend=OH&VIPID=636

All in all though, when you look at the way he's voted on matters pertaining to illegal immigration since he became a member of the house, I think he is alot weaker on the issue of illegal immigration than he makes himself out to be. I think he could be a little more honest in that respect.
I've yet to really see a politician who was honest about everything in all areas throughout his entire career, and doubt I ever will.

If you look at his website, it tells you all his votes on every issue. He never tries to hide a thing. He continues to amaze me with his passion for doing the right thing and he imparts a lot of information. He is against the trade agreements and does all he can to protect jobs.

The following link has a lot of information about what has been going on behind the scenes with the democrats and the republicans regarding Iraq, the money spent, the votes regarding the money etc. It is well worth reading just to gain knowledge. It also is an announcement of running for president and why he is running.

He is quite different than the typical politician and I like the difference.

I had no idea he was going to run again. I was very surprised.
