I think its time for this cities offical to stop worrying about tourism and who's illegally feeding the homeless and start protecting us citizens who live here
crime is at a all time high in this city and frankly its starting to spread ...Folks be careful next time you plan a vacation to the rat land .....Vegas anyone ...???

Just a little confused as to what you were trying to say. I think that any increase in security is a good thing. And I don't know what you mean by "rat city", unless that was a derogatory term for DisneyWorld. Didn't see any mention of Disney in that article.
When the Guardian Angels were here in Seattle it was about the last time I dared to go into downtown without a body guard. Would like to see a lot more of them.

Sorry gypsy i might be a bit missunderstood ..I apoligize
I live in the Orlando metro area ..I love my city ...but crime is at a all time high here ...local politicans have dropped the ball here for the last 20 years ...instead of putting police on the streets and crime prevention ..they are busy putting people like our freind suzie in jail because she is a compassionate human who feeds the homeless ...which is illegal in this city ..I welcome the angels with open arms ...curtis sliwa is a great man
The only thing that the mayor and city leaders care about is the image portrayed to tourists ..yes with out tourism orlando would be podunk USA...but people live and work here and nned to be protected when leaving a Orlando Magic game or other events in downtown and the areas around it .if OPD can't do the job let the angels do it
The rat land comment is a term used by us locals who sit in traffic on interstae 4 every afternoon because the traffic is horrible due to lost tourists ..i personally love Disney and love going there as much as possible
My warning is just when ya plan your family vacation to centeral florida ...just remember ..murder is up over 200%... Robberies are up 110% and most other violent crime is through the roof

Whoa! Are you serious??? Here even the kids have food drives at their schools for people. Never saw anything to indicate homeless being excluded. Why did they make it illegal?

OK, that I am fully familiar with. Check any tourist brochure on the Caribbean, and you will notice just how many shots are only out to sea, and how few are of the actual islands, unless from about a mile up.

Gotcha! Here I guess it would be the equivalent of the I-5 Grind. Set a Seahawk, Sonics, Mariner game for early evening, which combines it with rush hour…then go ahead and do it on a holiday weekend…when I used to commute in and out of Seattle, any Friday that it so much as rained, the commute time doubled.

Oh lucky, lucky, lucky me, guess where daddy gets off his ship and then gets to drive about 4 hours to go see his sis for Christmas.

I sure wish they were in this city. It needs a LOT of cleaning up, and the local cops, well, about the only thing I am willing to discuss with them any more is the refund of my tax money that went into the salaries they did nothing to earn. And yes, I have told them so, repeatedly, when they call to ask ME for something.

They haven't actually put any of us illegal feeders in jail yet. But they spend a lot of money watching us and on their new panhandling task force. BTW, we're not the happiest place on earth, that's Disney marketing BS. We're the angriest city in the US or is it the world? I forgot, either way -- ugh. I love my city. I want it back from politicians and from the other criminal, too. I'm glad the Guardian Angels are coming here.
Don't worry, tourists. Disney has it's own police force. There's little problem on property.

I love my little town and even happily pay taxes for more police than we need. With only one murder more than 20 years ago, they do little more than write a few speeding tickets and offer company to the local old folks.
