“Liberals hate this country” I did read this sentence more than once from several posters so do they? If you think so please answer my questions:
What is a liberal?
If liberal are the opposite of conservative were not the founder of this nation Liberals (for their time)? Had they been conservative they would have protect the status quo and never create this country.
Can one be “Liberal” and/or “Conservative” depending of the problem at hand something like being socially liberal and fiscally conservative, if so does that person hate this country only part time?

I think you're trying to define it by party politics Tibert. One can be Liberal and Conservative at the same time, just as many front runners in the Presidential election are. Myself, a Canadian am not a conservative as I find they cater too much to the Left and in their more right wing policies, find them too far right as in abortion issues and homos etc. I voted independent last election.
For myself, the only way to nail down my beliefs and support for issues is the issues themselves which are all independent of each other and none of based on a party. Hope this helps a bit.

Tilbert... the secret is in the redefinition of language that conservatives have engaged in over the last 35 years or more. There is an author who has written a book on this and darnit he was on the radio just two days ago so you might try to find him. This book is a few year's old and I haven't tracked down the info. But he makes good points about how the conservative movement has mastered political language and is so skilled at it that when you and I discuss these matters we end up using THEIR torturously redefined terms and spending all of our time having to explain and carefully and narrowly define what we are trying to say while they are able to use broad brush strokes to paint their backward but COGENT vision of the future of America.
Another author made a great point. Have to track 'em down too(talk about the disorganized left). But he said that the left is under a profound misunderstanding. It is believed that if you simply deliver a set of clear and demonstrable facts or factoids to a person that, once armed with the full set of information, they will come to the same or a predictable conclusion. This is NOT TRUE!!! And we know this. All of us as people have inconsistencies between our knowledge and our behavior and the decisions we make. We have an inner governor.. and a set of motivations.. THOSE are what drive us. Sprinkle on top of those things our intellectual rational brain.. It's like strapping a macintosh computer to a garbage truck in a lot of ways. Useful.. but you gotta wire it in the right way and show the truck's driver how to turn it on or else it's gonna just sit there full of info!
Do "liberals"(Rush Limbaugh/Ronald Reagan/John Birch Society definition) hate America? The answer is YES...
Because liberals are by that definition "weak-willed, permissive, morally relative, communist subsversives with no organic attachment to"... AMERICA.. the land of the free and the home of the brave white protestant christ fearing descendants of the Mayflower..the Founders(and a few million violent scotch-irish badasses given the heave ho out of britain as fast as the ships could carry 'em to the new world!).. and various and sundry others regarded as REAL Ammmmuuuuuuuurrrrrriccaaaannnnnns. Oh yeah.. the irish too now that they've cleaned up... oh yeah and the Jews and Italians.. I guess they had a hand in the western civilization thing. And anyone else is welcome so long as they, like thomas sowell, walter williams, or john mcwhorter..first say their pledge of allegiance to the primacy of european leadership of world civilization and THEN they are welcome to say their peace about how dopey all the OTHER blacks or latinos or native americans are.
But be aware. The question you are asking is THEIR question. This is OUR country. That rhetoric is meant to separate you rhetorically from this country which the left must never allow the right to do to it ever again. The left seeks to "dialogue" with it's enemies instead of taking them on and that's just what that question is meant to PARODY. Here kid.. answer THIS question while we take this country apart brick by brick and sound alarms about China taking over the Panama canal while Wal-Mart becomes a larger trading partner with China than England! These folks are delusional. In their world... France and Japan are economic basket cases while Chile and Brazil are models of economic efficiency. And when they feed us this nonsense... we "liberals" need to take them at their word. To them.. Brazil IS a model of economic efficiency.. complete with kids running the streets and police death squads to dust 'em off. If you let 'em build it.. it will come. The elections of 2006 were heartening but this is just the beginning. If it becomes clear they're going to lose in 2008 this nation will be in the same situation as a battered wife getting a restraining order. A time of MAXIMUM danger until the bastards are removed and kept 400 yards away from the nearest levels of power. If the jihadists don't get around to attacking us before then.. COUNT on an attack coming from a less than obvious source. REMEMBER the anthrax attacks and then ask yourself who REALLY hates this country.

I dont think they hate it.......I think they are foolish enough to think their plans will really work. Someone passed out rose-colored glasses at the last Democratic National Convention and now they wont take them off for ANYBODY!!!!

Sacramento -- Three Democratic senators were locked out of their Capitol offices Monday by Senate leader Don Perata as retaliation for attending an event to raise money to help elect moderate Democrats.
Perata, an Oakland Democrat, declined to comment on the action, but aides said he was punishing the three lawmakers for disobeying a rule forbidding members to show loyalty to what has been known as the "Moderate Democrat" caucus.

Yeah we could end up in the middle of a $400,000,000,000 dollar per year occupation in the middle of an international terrorist Jihad for which we are ill prepared to defend ourselves at home.. which everyone now knows about because an ENTIRE MAJOR AMERICAN CITY was completely knocked out of commission while our nation's emergency services weren't aware of what was happening half a mile down the road from their operations center. Sure... there ARE some great bargains on stocks this week... or at least until some crazies light off some radioactive medical waste in the middle of a downtown somewhere and panic this country into the same paralysis we experienced for damned near an entire week after 9/11. But AFTER all of THAT .. THEN we'll be in for a rude awakening if we're fool enough to let Hillary Clinton allow MORE of our precious Made-In-China American flags start getting burned up willy-nilly!

For the masses of the Liberal persuasion it's about guilt. They feel a deep down guilt for all the freedom, success and prosperity they enjoy as a citizen of this country.
Then they look around the world and see how bad the citizens of most other countries have things compared to us (and themselves) and they figure they can apologize for their fortunate lot in life by saying vial things about their own country and fanciful things about every other country. They never see a foreign boot they wouldn't like to lick.
That's why, no matter what the subject, you can't get them to say a single good thing about the USA, or a single bad thing about anywhere else. They just can't bring themselves to do it because they are afraid that others will disapprove and think of them as "boastful Americans." Of course the ones they are pandering to -- the ones that call us "boastful Americans," -- have their own distorted psychology that makes them call us that. It's called envy.
So in the end, what you have is guilt ridden, wimpy (seemingly America hating) Liberals in this country kowtowing to (seemingly America hating) envious individuals in other countries.
Both the panderer and the pandered to have a couple of things in common.
1. They both seem to hate America.
2. They both want to be Americans. (They are not stupid, just hypocritical. How many Libs you see leaving?).
Aside from the masses of Libs, you have the wealthy limousine class Libs. Their motivation is different from the Lib masses. The rich "leaders" use the rank and file Libs like puppets to get their money and votes by feeding on the above psychology to get them all fired up about how evil this country is and how much better it is everywhere else. The rank and file Libs go along like lemmings and the limo Libs power is secured. The latest string being pulled by the puppet masters is Iraq.

Fortunately, we have eagle eyed political analysts like you to make sure that Barbara Streisand and Alec Baldwin don't seize power over this country so regular guys like that self made man from Texas George W. Bush can just sit back.. have a beer with regular folks and get us all our money back from those power mad Liberals in Washington. Also good to hear how Dick Cheney's crew back at Halliburton aren't sitting back and letting all this anti-americanism go unchecked!!! They're setting up a headquarters in Dubai so they can better let the Arabs know that we step into our Hummer H2's one leg at a time just like anyone else(as if there IS anyone one else in the world but US)!!!
What no one seems to get is that Bush is employing solid strategic strategy and it was a MUSLIM who introduced it to us. Muhammad Ali used the Rope-A-Dope technique to beat George Foreman and Bush has merely made it APPEAR that we overthrew a corrupt Arab oil dictator and created a Theocratic Shia state which will ally strongly with Iran after we are gone. What is REALLY happening is Bush is just waiting until limosine libs like Meg Ryan and Melanie Griffith miscalculate in their ruthless grab for power. THEN he'll reveal that Ahmedenijad is REALLY a deep cover agent working for the C.I.A. to suss out that Valerie Plame was REALLY a double agent working for the Jihadists. It's complicated to explain now but G.W. is going to explain everything to us on Election Eve November 2008 so we can all then go out the next day and vote for Jeb Bush!!

so if you don't like the way the country is, instead of working to change it, you should just leave?
and as soon as i have enough money i'll be in london, along with my girlfriend, my best friend, and her girlfriend.
that way when i fly the Union Jack, I won't get stares. because now, I do. but I'm a special case and in no way do I speak for even 10% of people with "liberal" beliefs in this country. I want to leave America because I appreciate British culture more than I do American culture and I feel I relate more to the British public than I do the American public simply because my beliefs fall more in line with their beliefs. I don't want to leave America because I "hate" it, or because it's "bad", or because I have any beliefs about the citizens of this country...or because I feel guilty about the freedom I have here, I think that's ridiculous...I use my freedoms every day, I'm thankful for them and if I felt guilty about them then I wouldn't use them. But I do have a very "European" mindset already...if you've read any of my posts outside this section of the forums you'll see that...and I think it's only natural that I would want to be in a place where that would be appreciated, not looked down upon.

And I thought invading Iraq was a bad idea even before it actually happened...let alone before it became 'in' to be against it. Running up hundreds of billion dollars in foreign debt to accomplish zip as far as this country is concerned is just not my idea of wisdom. But we've gone into that over and over.....
