I listened to the interview, and the interviewer says there were republican memos which said something like we needed some kind of Al-Qaida terrorist attack to get support back for the war. Also the interviewer pointed out Michael Chertoff saying he has a gut feeling we'd get hit by Al-Qaida again sometime this summer. And then there were the recent reports of Al-Qaida getting stronger. If those memos were real, and considering what Chertoff said, its no wonder Ron Paul is concerned and I doubt he's the only one.

This Administration has played the part of Peter and the Wolf many times. Everytime there is a political crisis, the level of concern and hysteria has increased. So far, despite bombings of our closest ally, the UK, we have not seen an increase in our color-coded security rating since the last presidential election. Coincidence? I think not.

I don't remember the name of the bill, and I'm too lazy to do the research right now. I have heard on the more outrageous edges of the fringe that Bush is all set to declare Martial law and not hold elections next year because we're at a state of war, and that a recently promoted bill is worded in such a vague way (he can declare martial law any time we are under attack that has claimed a significant number of lives... what's significant, 12?) is just part of the "plan" to do this. Goes along with those who claim the current Pope is the last Pope and King George wants to be the Last American President.
I don't give much credence to fringe rumors like that as a rule, but I cannot escape the idea that a lot of those rumors have some small factual basis at the core, even if it has been blown completely out of proportion by the time I hear of it. (Not in the Cabal myself.)

I'm essentially certain that there is some truth to this. Perhaps not in this precise context, but in his thinking and his mentality, and I suggest he has had people exploring every remote possibility for him numerous times. Ironic that we're paying for that.
Remember when Dubya said, it is so much easier to be a dictator than a president, as long as it's ME who is the dictator? I took that seriously folks, as have quite a few others. I doubt if he has any intention of giving up all his self-perceived power next year. Remember the Patriot Act and unauthorized wire-tapping of the American people on so many occasions? Remember the firing of all those federal attorneys who were investigating federal corruption, and so many other deceitful political tricks? Let us also not forget the major threat of Iraq and Saddam Hussein against America, and all his stockpiles of WMD, designed to be used on us, along with the orchestrated outing of a covert CIA officer who was out of favor with the White House.
How is it that they are still in charge of a democracy like ours? That's a mystery to me.
This is an administration to be watched like a hawk, if not impeached for significant cause, (also in the works), and very little they try would surprise me. They have proven they are capable of just about anything.

It is no surprise that our own military industrustrial congressional complex would want that to happen and I am pretty confident to say some of those same elements along with select neo-cons most likely created the 9-11 trajedy and blamed it on some cave arab which is ridiculus and naive just to get us to fund the war, steal our tax dollars and steal arab oil.
Congress needs to grow balls and stop this conflict and arrange to try and sentence our domestic war crimmals and thieves currently in office and retired.

He does whatever he wants to do, no matter what the law is or what the American people want. He will continue to do so, for his job is to carry out the agenda of the people who are really in charge.
That what I think and thats what I have thought since 2000.

The real culprit behind 9/11 is Kyle. He's even been spotted collecting anthrax also, no doubt for another assault on America. It's the same thing with the other conspiracy theories. Bush is hiding proof of god. Atheists and gays, in cooperation with jews caused 9/11. The moon landing was staged as a way of one-upping Russia. Crack was invented to intentionally destroy the black community. OJ didn't do it. The CIA killed Oswald and Kennedy, both with magic bullets.
Adolf Hitler's death was faked. The FAOE are controlling our world leaders.
There are a lot of others, but I hope I made my point. If everything is a conspiracy, nothing is a conspiracy. There's no credibility to the accusations when the accusations are made about everything.
And besides, we all know the government has our own best interests at heart.

I agree. The probablilty of further attacks is very likely. We have made millions more people hate us in the last few years.
Conspiracy theories have very little to do with any of in my opinion. Since we still don't have answers to 9-11(nor do we know for sure who was responsible), how could we have any faith that this government is interested in stopping an attack?
It isn't a conspiracy theory that the anthrax came right out of one of our military facilities. Who hears anything about that either? So many questions. So few answers.
