How did Tony Snow get so old-looking, so incredibly fast?
Has anyone noticed recently?
He went from being a relatively young guy, fresh from FOX News, a year or so back, to all-white hair now, a very stressed-out look, hunched shoulders, and a less-than-healthy appearance about him.. I think he was a bit ill there for a brief period, but isn't that behind him? Or is it more serious than we thought?
Was it all the dancing around reality he has to do these days? Maybe he's realizing now that he jumped into a major bag of worms that he never anticipated? I would think working in this white house these days could do that to just about anybody. Especially having to represent them to the Press and to America. .
So, what's up with the old, worn-out, flustered look?

Did you miss the fact he was diagnosed with a reoccurance of cancer? His case is terminal.
Tony Snow was originally diagnosed with colon cancer. It has now spread to his liver and other areas of his body. Here is a link. it's very sad.

The stress of him having to defend one of the most unpopular presidents in history according to polls is probably not helping since it has been said that too much stress can weaken the immune system and a weakened immune system is something you do not want when fighting cancer. I think he should not have taken on this very stressful job if he knew he had cancer before he took it, or if he found out after he took the job, he should have resigned and took it easy to increase his chances of surviving his battle with cancer.

I agree katts - somtimes maintaining a normal life keeps folks alive! Certainly makes life worthwhile.

A regular routine until you can't do it any more is the thing to do.
It is sad though, poor guy. Dealing with cancer is so hard.

I know katt - my best friends wife is battling stage 4 melanoma. She is going through a ravaging round of chemo now. It is so very sad. No one can say what is best for people that are faced with Cancer. We just need to be there for them!

Oh my.. I had no idea..
I heard something about his being sick a while ago? But didn't realize it was anything like that.
He's actually terminal, is he? That would certainly explain the dramatic changes in his appearance, and almost overnight.
But I have to agree I think, that he really shouldn't be doing such a high stress job, under the circumstances, and even beyond the high-stress, his job description entails that he bend the truth an awful lot, as well as dance like no one is looking, in defense of his bosses. Not a good place to be, if one is terminally ill.
If any of the 3 of them amounted to a hill of beans, they'd insist he retire and go home to live out his days in some degree of peace and tranquility. But it's not likely that matters to them very much, as long as they get their pound of flesh before his number is up. We are not speaking of the most compassionate White House ever known to man..
In any case, that is indeed very sad..
