The article from AP.
Global changes and the food chain
Drastic global changes such as this are what is thought to have killed off the dinosaurs MILLIONS of years ago, as well as being responsible for the evolution of some species to adapt to their environment.

This will definitely affect Coney Island Polar Bears.
Global warming is a fact. The weather is changing and it has changed since I was a kid.

This is not good. It is never good to lose a major predator on the food chain.

IMO, this isn't much different than any other world climate change that has affected the evolutionary process throughout the millions of years the earth has been inhabited by animals. The Polar Bears will either find a way to adapt to the environment, or die off. Just as the dinosaurs did millions of years ago. Some, like the Sarcosuchus Imperator (ancient crocodiles) evolved into smaller creatures. Others didn't, and are no longer in the food chain.
The food chain will survive. The only question is, will the Polar Bear.

It has been discussed in liberal circles that a very good solution to not letting the polar bears starve is to "air drop" polar bear survival treats from sierra club or greenpeace helicopters, in joint concert with the planned parenthood institute for the promotion of family planning.
A perpetually available source of available protein that would otherwise be simply discarded and incerated is aborted waste fetel tissue mixed with high protein vitamin enhanced cerials as "fetal-treats" for hungry bears.
This solution mergest two liberal concerns into one handy pro-green operation.
It is silly to dispose of clinical waste body tissues and aborted fetuses when the polar bears are counting on your charity.
Plus, it is a fact that there is an abundance of aborted fetal tissue that is aborted and available to save the polar bears.
Since the liberals have added mankind to the list of lifeforms that kills their own young, some good should happen and feeding the hungry polar bears is a beneficiant thing to do. Better the bears than the incinerators.
42 abortions have occurred since you started to read this message.
Please help save the polar bears. Impregnate a liberal today and make a material contribution to the "Only you can prevent Polar Bear hunger fund."

One of the most entertaining posts I've seen today. Thanks Para. But your obvious attempt at humor does bring a good question to the table. Being that humans partially caused the problem, should we interfere, or let nature take it's course on this one?

nature is sick Kjac...because of us...Many will argue this and say its normal but I agree with hammer I've seen many changes just in my lifetime... The artic ice is retreating at a rapid rate...The oceans are rising at a rapid rate...Places in indonesia must move their villages every 3 years or be under water...
China and the US are the worlds two largest polluters..

The polar bears die and the seal population increases, eating more of our already depleted fish stocks. Those same fish also feed larger fish like tuna, so no more tuna, etc, etc.

your obvious attempt at humor does bring a good question to the table. Neither abortion nor the death of polar bears is humorous. Those who advocate abortion as birth control are far more callous than one who suggests that at least the virtue of saving an endangered species with the waste clinical tissue is neither being humourous nor callous.

Pandas would be extinct by now if it wasn't for humans. Not only that, but black bears, grizzlies, wolves, apes, kangaroos, crocodiles, whales, and most other larger animals would have been wiped out through hunting were it not for government intervention.

You are right Para...It is just pain dementedly sick...
Abortion is never advocated as a form of birth control... Schitt happens...It's like a free pass.... Those that have a chronic history of repetitious abortions should be held accountable, there is no excuse for blatant ignorance...

So Para, is it your official stance that we should interefere to control the damage we as humans caused? I believe that rather than watching the estate tax expire with King's Ransom sized fortunes being inherited on a tax free basis, that some portion of the federal budget should incubate, nurture, and encourage plentitude among an endangered species with tax dollars and matching philanthropy funds from the charitable sector being dedicated to the preservation of Planet Earth, the flora, fauna, and an eco-ballaced co-existance between mankind and the animal kingdom, in a systematic co-eficient animal welfare program.
Does that mean oil drilling in Anwar" Yes. Does it mean preserving the Polar Bears like the federal efforts to save the timber wolf and bison? Yes, yes, yes.
I would have wanted the carrier pidgeons to not be hunted to extinction just to have feathers to adorn feminist hats, but we butchered that entire species into oblivion. I want to transplant endangered species to game preserves, and that includes the African Elephant, the American puma, and other species who are being poached to extinction.
