Any intelligent, average American sees and knows the injustices that have been going on with this country for years! I get so frustrated when I hear, my vote won't count! Barack Obama may be black but he's not taken a dime from lobbyists and is fed up with our current system as many of us are. (Even if we blow the system off!) Barack Obama is standing up for what our forfathers wanted for all of us. Barack could be a little green martian as far as I'm concerned but his heart is in the right place nd he's simply brilliant! Do we dream in black and white or color?

You know, at times I have those thoughts! After all, I made a killing buying COP very shortly after Bush was appointed! If you are in any area of law and the least bit successful, you know the game! If think Barack Obama may be far to honest for the politicians and lobbiests. After all, think of all the guys who would lose millions! If McCain is elected, I already know what stocks I'm buying and will put tons on them. This is the most corrupt system and our fathers should be rolling in their graves! Did you ever watch Farenheit 9-11? Watch it and do your research since you do that for a profession! Prove each and every fact wrong! I play unfairly when it comes to making money. I do better than most stock brokers by researching pliticians and who pays them! LOL! Wake up!

madeinfare Barack Obama may be black but he's not taken a dime from lobbyists and is fed up with our current system as many of us are.

...Nonsense; where do you think he found about a $138 Million so far?

...The lobbyist group PACS contributions only amount to about 1% in any presidential race. Wonderful theory, but simply not the facts that Obama does not take money from self interest groups; simply a confusion by his definition of a lobbyist.

Obama's definition of a lobbyist...

Major contributors so far:

Goldman Sachs $421,763
Ubs Ag $296,670
Lehman Brothers $250,630
National Amusements Inc $245,843

Sidley Austin LLP $226,491

Obama keeps beating Hillary over the head about her vote to authorize taking action against Iraq. Yet he's voted yes on every thing else since then in support of the war. And what about this plan he has to provide tuitions credits in the form of monetary compensation. He says the students will be required to work off the compensation by doing commuity service. This mean that on top of all the interships ( free labor) some professions have to do, they are also going to have to work off these tuitions credits. And how is this new program going to administered, funded, etc ? Who is going to ensure that these college students do these community service assignments ? How much community services will they have to do ? And whats he going to do about if they don't complete these assignments, are disabled, etc ?
Fine them, put them in jail ?

If not for the extremely crooked and felonious actions by the Ohio Republican Party, we might have a black Governor today. His loss had a lot less to do with his skin color than it did the felonies being racked up by the Ohio GOP at the time.

You're right..Blackwell's being black had little, if anything, to do with him losing...

Plus the fact that Ted Strickland is a MODERATE Democrat, not a leftie fringie; an ordained minister who walks the walk and knows and believes in separation of church and state; is life NRA with the pro gun record to back it up and was a damn good state representative. Middle of the road (maybe slightly in the left lane!!) and he drew from a lot of repubs.I think it's likely he would have won even without Taft's crookedness. It's been years since I voted for a Dem and I wouldn't have believed I ever would have again, but I even put his sign in my yard and I voted for him enthusiastically. Last I heard his satisfaction was still in the 60's...even with Repubs!!! He's the best governor this state's seen in a long time...so far anyway!!

In my estimation, America is ready for a president that will lead us out of the appalling mess that Bush has made of things. It isn't a question of whether or not America is ready for a black president, a female president etc........!

Repubs endorse repubs...dems endorse dems....that's just politics...Blackwell lost because he was running against a very popular guy and because he got caught up in the anti Bushie stuff that saw a lot of dems get elected..

It isn't a question of whether or not America is ready for a black president, a female president etc........!

It would be nice if that were true...but I don't think it is just yet...

Is America ready for a Black President ?

This I really don't know...but I sense it can consider a black president Before it could ever consider a female one. And, how many of us questioned Margaret Thatcher's position???

Personally, I'd like to see Clinton and Obama as a merger. Obama appears wise as if he has actually thought out the pertinent issues facing our country. Clinton seems to have the concrete know-how necessary to accomplish anything in the DC arena. As for me personally, it doesn't seem to matter what I think because Hillary may very well be out before NC gets the opportunity to voice an opinion. I think I'll move to Iowa...at least they have more bars!

In my estimation, America is ready for a president that will lead us out of the appalling mess that Bush has made of things.

...And I suppose 533 members of Congress were all asleep at the wheel.

...Sort of reminds me of a real happening, whereas Harry left a construction company for whatever reasons.

...Don, the owner would come out in the shop and ask "Al, who screwed up that job?" ... and Al would say "Harry did that." .... Later, "Steve, who did that job where the windows are leaking?" ... Steve would quickly say "Harry did that one."

...This went on for about 6 months and everytime, it was Harry's fault.

...Finally one day, Don, the owner, comes out into the shop and asks "does anyone know where Harry is? ... And although nobody knew, they then asked why Don wanted to know?

...Don replied, "well, as soon as I can find Harry, I am going to offer him double his prior wages, because apparently, he was the only one that did a damn thing around here before he left."

That was good. reminds me of something I tell my employees all the time. "Everyone shows up for a pay check, but no one comes to work!"

McCain may have won the nomination (he's nearly there delegate wise), although Huckabee may have some convoluted strategy for the convention, but I don't think he'll have enough steam for the general. In a way, he reminds me of Bob Dole. Dole was a juggernaut in the primaries and simply useless in the general campaign.

Public opinion polls continue to show that 2/3 of Americans don't like Bush and his policies in Iraq. To secure the nomination, McCain has had to suck up to that remaining 1/3. The economy has become an increasingly important problem and last month McCain stated then denied he stated that he needed an education in economics.

And then there's money...McCain raised $12m in January. This was a big change for him as his campaign had been limping along financially since the July 2007 slump; however, it was a 1/3 of what Barak Obama raised and $6m less than what Hillary raised. Given that the RNC is pulling in much lower donations, he can't look to the party to shore him up.

He has another problem with funding. He wants out of Federal funding but got a loan using Federal funding for collateral. There is only two out of 5 currently present on that board so they cannot have any vote so it looks like he has only 5 million to legally last him until September.

This is a major deal!

Public opinion polls continue to show that 2/3 of Americans don't like Bush and his policies in Iraq.

During the Revolutionary War against the British, the Yankee Rebels were not only fighting the British Army and the Hessian mercenaries but also about half to the civil population in America had sypathies for the crown and were Tories opposed to the Declaration of Independence of July 4, 1776.

It makes NO DIFFERENCE that the anti-war pro liberal democratic national news media has "poisoned the well" with respect to the War in Iraq; America will soon discover how badly advised we are by both the national news media and the antiwar Copperhead Democrats who WANT America to lose the War in Iraq as well as all future wars,

Abraham Lincoln was hated during his administration but is now America's most beloved President. History will adjudge the War in Iraq to have been a very good thing with few casualties and that the antiwar Copperhead Democrats were at all times disloyal and blinded by partisan rhetoric to see the entire stratigic picture of how their political opposition plays into the hands of America''s enemies and is corrosive to American global hegimony as the World's last Superpower.

If they were, maybe they could do something about those liberal communists at the weather channel.
