Obama is the closest I'm willing to go to backing someone right now. It's a shallow pool this time around. And some candidates still manage to drown in their own stupidity.

Its getting really nutty out there. With Huckabee and Romney basically trying to play politics, but both ending up looking like little school

Huckabee paid for, approved, and produced a negative ad against Romney. Then he decided that he wasn't going to run it....Called a news conference to annouce it and played the ad for the media. He claims he played it so that no one in the Media could claim that there was no ad. But isn't it the point that he produced it int he first place ? Do we want this guy in the White-House dealing with complex issues when he seems to be second guessing himself, and appearing to try to use the media for free air time ? And even if it did happen the way he claims, that still shows that he in too deep. I mean geeez, make your friggin mind up dude, say what you mean and mean what you say. He can't even flip-flop right. Oh and BTW he says, everything in the ad was true.

And Romney with his phoney expression and rediculous smirkey face, twisting his record around, trying to look Reganish. With his phoney wife who can't seem to believe he's running for President and looks like she just wants to slap him and say, " hey you moron mormon can you seriously picture me as first lady ?"

Anyway, Bill Clinton didn't do that well in Iowa and went on to be President. Hillary Clinton was advised to just skip Iowa as it a tough state for her. She wisely choose not to. She can come in third and still pull off the nomination. Obama has to win strong if he wins---which looks like a go for him. Its so close though. With him and Edwards and Clinton running neck to neck. I don't think its going to be over for Hillary Clinton if she loses Iowa, or even New Hampshire, as overall she is still ahead in the polls.

Mc Cain is looking like the come back kid. I like this guy even though he is a repub
Guilliani skipped out on Iowa. He's looking to win big in New Hampshire but polls are not looking good for him. Thompson may as well keep his acting day job.

Everybody else is pretty much off the radar.....I have to say that out of all of them I still like HIllary, but Obama is looking better and better.

Hey O -

Your girls little rant about Bhutto exposed her lack of understanding about the region. I posted a thread on it -

Now Biden is all over it - she will be toast because of this - it proves that here 8 years in the White House did little to improve her understanding of world affairs.

Her gaff was quite elementary-

Democrat Joe Biden suggested Tuesday that presidential rival Hillary Clinton doesn’t adequately understand recent events in Pakistan.

The Delaware senator was responding to news that Clinton suggested in two recent interviews that Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf is up for reelection this month.

Musharraf was actually reelected in October, and the upcoming Pakistani elections are parliamentary, not presidential.

“We have a number of candidates who are well-intentioned but don’t understand Pakistan,” Biden said at a campaign event Tuesday. “One of the leading candidates — God love her.”

“There are good people running,” continued the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, who has made his foreign policy credentials a centerpiece of his long shot presidential bid. “But to say Musharraf is up for election! Musharraf was elected — fairly or unfairly — president six months ago. It’s about a parliamentary election!”

Clinton’s comments came in an interview with ABC Sunday, in which she said, “[Musharraf] could be the only person on the ballot. I don’t think that’s a real election.”

The New York senator also made similar comments during an interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer last week, saying then, “”If President Musharraf wishes to stand for election, then he should abide by the same rules that every other candidate will have to follow.”

Both gaffes were first noted by conservative Thomas Houlahan, writing for the Middle East Times.

Here O - hope this helps - they will shellac her with this - she actually decided to make her "experience in World Affairs" an issue as she was making an ARSE of herself. NONE of her advisors got it! Very big gaff!

The funny thing is that Wolfie Blitzer and George Stephanopoulis interviewed her and they did not get it. They drooled like lap dogs!

This is Bidens response - He is the most qualified of all candidates - and here he is right -

>>>>>>>>>>>> BILLARY BLEW IT <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

This is the Thomas Houlihan Blog - he is an expert on Pakistan -

jankia - I have to disagree with O here. She is the frontrunner and the EXPECTED nominee. If she loses - it is BAD - if she comes in third - it is REALLY BAD. Like a football game it changes the MO!

Had she decided not to campaign so hard in Iowa - a loss would have been lessened. This is a tight race and any slip and all of the money will shift to Obama or Edwards. She has spent a fortune in Iowa.

As the campaign has progressed the media has turned their back on her too.

I really think that the REAL liberals want to nominate Obama. He is young, black and has natural appeal to the liberals.

We will see.

Yep,tomorrow will be her day to cry.Its interesting to see the Democrats getting most of the attention in this caucus. That will be good in the long run for the Republicans.

Very good observation! Never thought of that.

It is sure seems that Billary has more to lose than ANY of the candidates on either side. And yes - the liberal media has given the Democrats so much attention in Iowa that she must be sweating bullets!

Because McCain and Rudy wisely chose to abstain it took away the level of importance for the Republicans.

Smart move too. How would you like to shoot your wad in IOWA! lmao! I bet most of the people in the USA couldn't find it on a map.

Bill Clinton didn't do well in Iowa and went on to win the nomination and become President. Iowa is important to Hillary Clinton and an upset would be a ping in her race to the White-House. But Obama and Edwards have to win big and keep the momentum up to beat her. And that doesn't seem likely given her national standing in the polls.

O - Bill Clinton was an underdog the first time he ran. When the Iowa caucus occurred he was a Dark Horse!

Billary positioned herself as the presumptive Nominee - BIG difference!

The point is Iowa is not a must win state for Hillary. But it is for Edwards and Obama, plus Edwards and Obama have to continue to win other states. Hillary can afford to lose a few states if she doesn't lose too big.

Left what is going on with the Republican's, Hukabee is leading ?

Huckleberry has slipped somewhat. I believe Romney may take Iowa! It seems to be between those two from what I gather! It is really a close race for both sides in that state.

The strangest thing is that McCain is viewed favorable by most all that have been polled! Both Democrat and republican!!
