Listen to Barack Mohammad Hussein Obama.
Then listen to ANY of the Republican candidates.
Can ANYONE seriously vote for this guy against any of them?
He has absolutely NO substance or experience and very little knowledge of the things that will be important to managing the most important administrative position in the country or America's world affairs.
The only thing he talks about is "change." But he doesn't have a chance in hell of getting anything changed even if he did have any new ideas (which he doesn't). Who in Washington is going to take their lead from this wet behind the ears guy? They will push him around like a little punk.
People who want to vote for him remind me of adolescent kids who do things that are stupid and damaging to themselves just to spite their parents.
I just finished listening to the Republican candidates panel in New Hampshire. WOW! Every one of these guys is a solid leader with tremendous experience, knowledge and substance. I’d sleep better every night with any one of them in the White House than with both of the two Democrat candidate clowns put together.
Obama and Clinton are complete jokes next to any of them. Democrats are due to get the White House...it’s only theirs to take because that’s where the normal cycle is right now. But I can’t imagine either of their candidates as anything like a viable president. They are both complete jokes.

I respect you a lot, but your use of his middle names is really overplayed and terrible, as if it means anything. I don't hear anyone referring to Mitt as Willard Mitt Romney.

The two leading Republican candidates (Huckabee and Romney) aren't any prize, either. I'm afraid that everyone is going to have to accept that this presidential election is going to be a "throw-away." We're not going to get any honored statesmen this time around.

That’s his name LGQ, why do you want to hide it?
I hear Hillary Rodham Clinton all the time.

I just think it sounds a little like you're trying to associate him with extremist Muslims or terrorism. Usually that is the aim of the people who use his full name. BTW- a lot of women like to use their maiden and married names together, if they complement each other the way "Rodham" and "Clinton" do, that's not that strange. There is no need to use Barack's full name.

I’d sleep better every night with any one of them in the White House than with both of the two Democrat candidate clowns put together. Guess I'll invest in Ambien stock then.
Who in Washington will listen to him? Anyone in Washington who is running for reelection to the Congress in 2010, if he's elected. When the American public votes overwhelmingly Democrat in 2008, it will tell those in Washington that things, as they are, are not working for most of them. And anybody thinking they can then railroad the new administration into sticking the same old course is going to find out in a hurry that is not going to fly.
Obama and Clinton are complete jokes next to any of them. Democrats are due to get the White House...it’s only theirs to take because that’s where the normal cycle is right now. But I can’t imagine either of their candidates as anything like a viable president. They are both complete jokes.
There is no "cycle" as you imply. Democrats held the White House from 1933 to 1953, then 1961 to 1969, 1977 to 1981, and 1993 to 2001. 20/8/8/4/12/8/8 doesn't yield a pattern. It's theirs to take right now, by Obama or whoever the Democratic candidate will be, because Bush screwed the pooch.
And the lame practice of trying to make him "sound" Muslim is past overplayed.

LGQ: You've got to realize, DR will use any tactic to tar his political opponents. Outside of politics and economics (and possibly religion), he may be a nice guy, but any topic touching those two (three?), and all restraint goes out the window.
Hence his attack on Obama for his lack of experience, while completely ignoring the negative experience of his Republican opponents. From the way DR speaks, one would assume that the Republicans are all paragons of virtue and their every endeavor was successful.

Well... One thing's for sure!
Any candidate running on either party will be some 300% better than what we have in place now.
Which regardless of party affiliation, is undoubtedly the worst administration America has ever had.
So with that in mind, it's hard to go wrong this time around, no matter who gets the nod.
It's all uphill from here.. -MM

You could run your dog "Spot" against the Republican nominees and win. They are history. It's almost worthless to discuss the coming election other than which Dem will win. No one except the ignorant and mentally deficient are giving money to the Republicans. Why do you think the RNC has the lowest amount of money in it's history? People want REAL change. The majority want out of the war and a good health care system. They want to stop the rape of American money by the war mongers and bring it home to the people. It seems so easy to understand.

This is actually the second thread that DR has been associated in which he called attention to the middle names of Senator Obama. He's not trying to do anything, he IS associating Senator Obama with Muslims, who in his world are synonymous with terrorism.

People who want to vote for him remind me of adolescent kids who do things that are stupid and damaging to themselves just to spite their parents. That is known as rebellion and there is no logic in that. There in lies your answer DR.

Alternatively, for the first time in decades, the 18-25 crowd seems to think their votes might make a difference. Last presidential election, less than half of eligible 18-25 year olds voted (47%), compared to almost three-quarters (73%) of 65-75 year olds.
Rebelliousness isn't the same thing as a desire for change. To imply that it is, is to start down the road towards disenfranchising the younger generation again.

That is known as rebellion and there is no logic in that. Therein lies the NeoCon ideology! Do what you are told! Conform! And when your opinion is wanted, it will be given to you! Freedom is Slavery!
As Rush Hudson Limbaugh III has said on his (strangely) popular Populist radio show: "This is the show that tells you what to think!"

Actually, all I am seeing with the Democrats right now is arguing, like little toddlers.
I am not sure they will make it to November before they blow each other up.
Nasty,,,,

Oh, darn, ok, as I see it, this is what is going to happen sooner or later in this race. It will be brought up when things really get tight.
So, what are people going to do or say then? Will it matter? I know his name doesn't bother me at all. It is his lack of experiance right now.

When it down to a couple of them, I hope they really get to the issues. This is the part I don't like, all the bashing of each other that has nothing to do with running a country.
