 Place your nomination for the worst states in the U.S.A. here.
For piss poor health care consumer protection, I nominate my home state of Alabama.
Blue Cross/Blue Shield in other states overs LCSW, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, therapists, but psych therapists in Alabama to be covered by BCBS must be PhDs.
Ironically, therapists in state funded facilities may be LCSW.
For taxing everything, I nominate another state I lived in: Maryland.
I actually got a bill from the faggots in the State of MD's for not having insrance on a car that I sold for the two days that it took for my plates to reach their office as FedEX delivered them. Naturally, I told them to go fornicate their mothers and didn't pay the bill.
Lastly, I nominate the Commonwealth of Virginia. The reason, because at last check, my ex, Jabba the Hutt, lives there.

Kentucky...for charging you sales tax every year on housing, cars, motorcycles, boats and the list goes on! And it is assessed at 100% of its value at January 1 each year!
Texas...no roads that are drivable on the secondary level...they pave them with road graders. No municiple water supplies nor sewers outside any city, town or hamlet! The sewage runs through peoples yards....unbelievable. Absolutely the worst state I have ever lived in!

Tennessee!!
Although it is beautiful countryside, and the Smoky Mountains are awesome, and the climate is pretty good overall, despite being in the middle of Tornado Alley. Those in charge here leave a lot to be desired, plus they tend to be very self-serving, and, there is a lot of corruption at many levels of government.
Healthcare has always been a major problem, and the laws regarding that, change all the time. Almost always taking more things away from the common man. Tennessee is tops in the country for Violent Crime, and the freeways are a nightmare.. Until very recently it was a Sanctuary State for Illegal Aliens, (see the connection?), but thankfully, they've finally come to their senses about that and recently passed a law to the contrary.
Other than that I'd say New Jersey, Arkansas and California.. 3 that are pretty screwed up due to questionable (at best) politix.

Another one I meant to mention before was Louisiana!
They have some very significant problems, particularly in politics and exacerbated by the Katrina debacle.. Which has never really recovered. New Orleans probably needs to throw out it's entire corrupted City Government and start all over from scratch.
How about some more input on this?

Iowa is pretty good overall.
However, I attend a medical conference for my daughter each 2 years. Parents from other states get conference funding. Iowans do not.
I have taken the matter all the way to DC-to be told those issues are determined by each state. I will keep complaining, and have asked that the name of our gathering gets changed to incorporate "medical evaluation and treatment".
We'll see...

Sewage running through people's yards in Texas!!That is just wrong! From reading this I think I live in a perfect country. Mind you, we have a much smaller population. With so many states in comparison to our few provinces I can see the difficulty for everyone being on the same page. Up here we sometimes have to bypass our provincial rep." Government for the people by the people",,,nice sentiment! Change takes the voice of many not the few! Stick your neck out, we still live in a democracy  I just shocked myself!!

Taxes are sky high (9.5% sales) and you look around and see NO BENEFIT from it. IT has the most financillay depressed folks and the most crooked politicians. Things er terrible down here cause no one cares what goes on down here. Ark & Mi have got ta be th worst.

We've got to start making a concerted effort to weeding out the political corruption that prevails in so many states nowadays! As stated earlier, Tennessee and Louisiana are like that too. Hotbeds of political corruption.
It's unbelievable how much of it there is!! It's a huge problem we must find ways to resolve..
