The big difference between being a Senator or Congressman and being in a leadership position like President, Governor or Mayor is that leaders have to make decisions.

Senators and Congressmen get to say one thing - do something else and then of course say something else. It seems Slik Pony Edwards learned something from Kerry!

It also sounds EXACTLY like what President Bush said that all of the lefty fellers mock - so go mock Edwards!

Unfortunately most of these idiots forget that this is the age of the internet and we do not forget!

Below is a link to a John Edwards speech on Oct 7, 2002. Mr. $400 Haircut co sponsored the Bill! Here is what he said!

His position is very clear??

John Edwards: Iraq WMD a Grave Threat, US Must Create Democracy in Iraq
"My position is very clear: The time has come for decisive action to eliminate the threat posed by Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction. I'm a co-sponsor of the bipartisan Resolution that's presently under consideration in the Senate. Saddam Hussein's regime is a grave threat to America and our allies. We know that he has chemical and biological weapons today, that he's used them in the past, and that he's doing everything he can to build more. Every day he gets closer to his long-term goal of nuclear capability.

Democracy will not spring up by itself overnight in a multi-ethnic, complicated society that's suffered under one repressive regime after another for generations. The Iraqi people deserve and need our help to rebuild their lives and to create a prosperous, thriving, open society. All Iraqis, including Sunnis, Shia and Kurds, deserve to be represented. This is not just a moral imperative. It's a security imperative. It is in America's national interest to help build an Iraq at peace with itself and its neighbors, because a democratic, tolerant and accountable Iraq will be a peaceful regional partner, and such an Iraq could serve as a model for the entire Arab world."

Senator John Edwards (Democrat, North Carolina)
Speech at the Center for Strategic and International Studies
October 7, 2002

Edwards was For the War - before he was against the War

And so was just about everybody else in Congress and the entire country, at the time..

You seem to be forgetting that both Congress and the country were lied to at every turn, by the Shrub and this administration.

People don't automatically assume their leaders are lying to them, in fact they assume otherwise, until it is proven that way. But we haven't experienced much of that in our history. At least nowhere near the extent we have now. It's a pretty unique situation. Bush wins first prize!

So you are merely trying to twist the facts to suit your own objective. But I'm glad you brought it up, because we sometimes seem to forget such heinous acts against America, much too quickly.

Not so MM - Senators and Congressmen are privy to intelligence reports.

If you listened to what Edwards said he mildly mention nukes as a reason to attack - and he agreed with the entire idea of our need to build Democracy in Iraq. He was quite specific. Hardly something an honest man would back away from.

So his agreement and bold statement had little to do with your worn out "lies" crap. Rather he actually agreed with the ENTIRE action that Bush implemented in Iraq.

If you have difficulty reading - watch the video! I posted both for fellers like you!

So then what does the House Intel committee do?

What does a Cat Whisperer like you think the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence do?

Do you think they are privy to intel that comes from sources other than the Executive Branch?

SO you are saying that Senators get their intel from the President?

Are you OK there feller?

Stop badgering me - you know better than this non sense!

Obviously you don't really understand much about what went on back there at all. Where were you all that time???

It was a very talented combination of hardcore sales, piecemeal cherry-picked presentations, and intimidation, by the administration to be sure, including their limited, heavily coercive presentations to Congress to garner support. Bush and company did have just about everybody convinced we were on the right track, for a time, despite a variety of internal protests from people such as terrorism experts. But clearly the objectives were insincere and motivated by an unsavory agenda. They knew all too well they were dead wrong, it was all about cooked intelligence and lies, and they were misleading everybody. But they did it anyway.

You were probably getting all your information from Fox News, even knowing it is always heavily slanted. Which says to me you don't want to know the truth, even for yourself! You'd actually prefer to be purposely misled. That's a pretty sad state of affairs. It goes well beyond merely hiding one's head in the sand.

MM - I knew much more than you can imagine. Stop being condescending to me. I also know that Billary and Kerry missed several intel briefings.

Edwards little rant here is the SAME thing that Billary said and Kerry and even Al Goreacle said several years before. It is all public record.

Had you actually read what Edwards said you would see that his position was based on intel that was actually true. Chemical and Bio weapons! From that he framed a position that he then turned into a Bill that he sponsored.

So MM - did Bush force him to adopt the position to advocate the support and building of a Democracy in Iraq too. Is the idiot a puppet that got programmed by Rove? WTF are you saying here? That the man is that easily duped and cannot make decisions on his own?

He is a coward. Men of courage stand behind their decisions - they do not lie and hide from them.

Whatever the case - he should go back to chasing ambulances!
