I'm not sure how many people saw this today, as it did not get much coverage, but I found it interesting that the NY chapter of the National Organization for Women .

"Sen. Kennedy’s endorsement of Hillary Clinton’s opponent in the Democratic presidential primary campaign has really hit women hard," said the statement. "Women have forgiven Kennedy, stuck up for him, stood by him, hushed the fact that he was late in his support of Title IX, the ERA, the Family Leave and Medical Act to name a few."

"And now the greatest betrayal! We are repaid with his abandonment!" the statement continues. "He’s picked the new guy over us. He’s joined the list of progressive white men who can’t or won’t handle the prospect of a woman president who is Hillary Clinton."

The press release goes on to say

"This latest move by Kennedy is so telling about the status of and respect for women’s rights, women’s voices, women’s equality, women’s authority and our ability – indeed, our obligation — to promote and earn and deserve and elect, unabashedly, a president that is the first woman after centuries of men who ‘know what’s best for us.’”

Source - CNN

So, if you are a democrat and you don't endorse Hillary, you are betraying women. Just curious, but if you don't endorse Obama, are you betraying the NAACP?If you don't endorse Edwards, are you betraying the trial lawyers? Personally, I did not know that gender was something that we should consider when selecting someone to be president. I guess NOW, disagrees.

BTW, since they made their choice, based on sex, does that make them sexist? If not, then why not?

This is just a part of the Clinton machine where they make use of surrogates so the finger cannot be pointed at Clinton.

Race, Gender, Religion seems to me the Constitution says something about each of those.

Billary will play every card she can to win - Sex - Race -

Very typical of the Clintonistas.

They make Karl Rove look like Mother Theresa.

this is bigger than just the clintons...

Now is a very militant...group..and I can see where they have the right to voice their displeasure... if you are voting for the lesser of evils...( my own opinion...) and you are in favor of promoting the status of women in politics..( their opinion ) would you not expect them (NOW) to say anything different?

there is no discrimination here ( imho...)

First of all, what does being "militant" matter? Is okay for skin heads to endorse a certain candidate, because they are militant? If it is okay for NOW to endorse Hillary solely because she is a woman, is it okay for another group to endorse Romney, just because he is a man? Is it okay for the NAACP to endorse Obama, simply because he is black? If so, wouldn't it be okay for an organization to endorse Huckabee, because he is white?

Discrimination, is discrimination. An endorsement that is based on race, color, creed, or sexual orientation (among other factors) is simply an expression of another form of prejudice.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

Dr. King's dream was that people would be judged on merit, not skin color. It is too bad the liberal leadership seeks to maintain division, based on our differences, rather than work to make us all one people, as Dr. King envisioned.

Say_Yes.....You are a republican!

As usual, you are wrong. I am a libertarian.

I could care a whole lot less about what you have to say at anytime!

Give it a rest already. I have already told you that you are not my type. So, while you could care a whole lot less about what I have to say, I don't care at all about you.

BTW, nothing in my post is remotely related to the Swift Boat Vets. Of course, the delusional among us, don't need need to consider reality, when posting their rants.

Nope it doesn't matter.....not in the slightest ...lighten up and laugh a little...

Is okay for skin heads to endorse a certain candidate, because they are militant?
For first part of the question .. the answer is yes... the second part is just stupid... you are taking a joke far too seriously...

If it is okay for NOW to endorse Hillary solely because she is a woman, is it okay for another group to endorse Romney, just because he is a man?

hey..any group can vote on who they wish do endorse as a group..and then vote however they want afterwards...

Is it okay for the NAACP to endorse Obama, simply because he is black?
If they so choose...but I would hope that they would endorse him because they felt he was the best person for the job..

...I don't belong to the NAACP so I have no clue what they think or do..

If so, wouldn't it be okay for an organization to endorse Huckabee, because he is white?
same answer...as above...If they so choose..it is their issue not mine...

Discrimination, is discrimination. An endorsement that is based on race, color, creed, or sexual orientation (among other factors) is simply an expression of another form of prejudice.

I agree....but last I looked..this was still America where everyone has the right to be free to do whatever..as long as it was within the parameters of the law...

Dr. King's dream was that people would be judged on merit, not skin color. It is too bad the liberal leadership seeks to maintain division, based on our differences, rather than work to make us all one people, as Dr. King envisioned.

hold that thought.... and let's see how the republicans act for november...

The National Organization of Women was hijacked by the Lesbians a long time ago. So the Lesbos will be up in arms if anyone slights one of their own. So Hilliary is diefied among the "strap on" set.

But America is not ready yet, to elect the ''Strap On Appliance Company Spokesperson of the Year'' to the White House.

Did anyone notice that Hillary has said that Bill will not fulfill the traditional role of First Lady and that someone else will be take on the Hostess duties, if she is elected. TRANSLATION, her extramarital Lesbo Liason Babe will be doing the white glove jobs in the Hillary White House.

And no one has questioned her if this proposed White House Hostess is her Lesbian Consort Lover?

SunBabe, you get used to it. Just expect everything he posts to be either filled with hatred or filled with self-admiration. Then, the few times he actually has anything worthwhile to say, it can be a pleasant surprise.

Opray endorsed Obama, even though she has never endorsed anyone before. Does anyone believe his color had nothing to do with it? I don't.

Does anyone believe the huge black vote he is getting has nothing to do with the fact he is black?

The typical white male has always supported their own.

So Kennedy had the choice of a black male or a woman. I think it was probably simply a political decision on what would bring "him" the most votes. He went for the black vote instead of the womens vote. If he made his decision based on that, I think he made a mistake.

Voters have been put in a position they have never been in before. We are making history, even in the primaries. Whoever would have thought 20 years ago that we would be choosing between a black man and a woman for president?

Kennedy endorsed Obama because he - like many others HATE Billary.

She is a polarizing woman politically and as they say -

Paybacks are a biatch!

The same is true for the media. She and Bill did plenty of media slamming and continue to do so.

It is not smart to attack the media!

While he and others may not like her, emotion has nothing to do with it...Teddy, Kerry, and other dems endorsing BamBam are doing so because they believe he has the best chance of winning...if they thought Billary had a better chance, they'd be on her bandwagon in a heartbeat....

Nothing more, nothing less...

It is the truth!

How else do you describe Hillary's assertion that if elected, her husband will not be fullfilling the First Lady's traditional White House Hostess role, but another woman will be doing those chores?

If so, what woman and what is her real relationship to Hillary if she will be the ersatz First Lady in the White House.

Obviously the Congress should enact legislation requiring any person who is a stand in for First Lady to be subject to Senate Confirmation, in like manner as is the White House Chief of Staff. That way we will see just who and what are the motivations for such person to exist, given that there is an existing White House Director of Protocol who has the rank of a US Ambassador whose function it is to oversee White House events for protocol purposes.

So why do we need a new Lesbian Primier in addition to the White House Director of Protocol who does the exact same thing that Hillary has in mind.

And exactly what kind of promises has Hillary been making during pillow talk with her steady lover?
