After winning Iowa, he got beaten twice in a row in NH and NV. Thereafter, he got back some winning spirit from SC, dove into super duper tuesday with the fullest momentum, swept the most states and then emerged with a landslide victory over his rival on saturday. From more than 20% down, he climbed the ladder and had an upset victory in Maine yesterday. In a nutshell, he has won from coast to coast, I mean he's won on the Atlantic Coast, won on the Gulf Coast, won on the Pacific Coast and places in between and then on top of that, out of his comfort zone, he won the grammy award for the best spoken word album for his audio verson of his best selling book " The Audacity of Hope"( thoughts on reclaiming he american dream). Despite all the winning and stuff, he still calls himself "the underdog". There is something to be drawn from this, this guy is simply a HUMBLE WINNER. He's unstoppable.
Is it just me or is leaning towards a winner a weakness? ,

He ran the table this past weekend and will do the same on Tuesday -
He is leading MD VA and DC by a substantial margin!
I bet $200 on him when he was 20-1 - I wish I had bet a million!

iam, I'm more than 50% certain that he's going to sweep tuesday as he did on saturday. But who knows, it's politics. Anything can happen. remember what happened in NH? reason I don't always put a cash wager.
if he comes out strong on tuesday, there's certainty that he'll do well in the big states in march. if that happens then, Billary is rotten meat

he did it again . 8 straight victories since super tuesday. Most importantly and something worth noting, yesterday in the nation's capital, he edged his rival by a large margin - more than 75%. what a victory! methinks it's about time somebody gave up the fight

Nicaraguan leader calls Obama's campaign 'revolutionary'
MANAGUA, Nicaragua: President Daniel Ortega, who led the 1979 revolution in Nicaragua, says Barack Obama's presidential bid is a "revolutionary" phenomenon in the United States. "It's not to say that there is already a revolution under way in the U.S. ... but yes, they are laying the foundations for a revolutionary change," the Sandinista leader said Wednesday night as he accepted an honorary doctorate from an engineering university. Ortega led a Soviet-backed government that battled U.S.-supported Contra rebels before he lost power in a 1990 election. He returned to office last year via the ballot box. In statements broadcast on Sandinista Radio La Primerisima, Ortega said he has "faith in God and in the North American people, and above all in the youth, that the moment of great change in the U.S. will come and it will act differently, with justice and equality toward all nations." Obama, a senator from Illinois, is locked in a tight race with Sen. Hillary Clinton for the Democratic nomination. Ortega also called Obama a spokesman for the millions of Central American and Mexican citizens who migrate to the U.S. in search of work, though polls indicate most Latino voters so far have favored Clinton over Obama. Also Wednesday, Ortega gave approval to various army officials to receive training at the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation, operated by the U.S. Defense Department in Fort Benning, Georgia — even as he said he would continue to lobby for the school's closure. The president claims that members of the now-defunct National Guard who were trained at the school, formerly known as the School of the Americas, were involved in torture. Human rights groups say graduates went on to commit abuses throughout Latin America. The U.S. military has acknowledged that some graduates committed crimes after attending the School of the Americas, but that no cause-and-effect relationship has ever been established. Ortega did not explain why he approved the training, but said he would try to ensure officials did not turn into "torturers and killers." Just thought I would add this...

...Latino voters are legal citizens, whereas Illegals love Obama's stated position of open borders for all... the last failed Amnesty Bill was not liberal enough.

thanks for the link, katt . couldn't agree more with prez. Ortega.
Ortega also called Obama a spokesman for the millions of Central American and Mexican citizens who migrate to the U.S. in search of work, though polls indicate most Latino voters so far have favored Clinton over Obama This particularly goes to the Latinos. look, just to add to the enormous endorsements for Obama, recently among others, Wilhelm - former Bill clinton's campaign manager didn't switch sides cos he's crazy. Patti Solis Doyle - sen clinton's campaign manager and her ass. didn't step down cos things were going great. If you can't run a terrific campaign, how are going to run the white house?
what's more, Sen. Barack Obama is expected to be endorsed friday by the Service Employees International Union, one of the nation's most powerful union officials. These people are not nuts.
I don't know about you but I think what the latinos, I mean some latinos are doing is just pure blind optimism and couter-revolutionary.

Katts quotes Ortega as follows:
Also Wednesday, Ortega gave approval to various army officials to receive training at the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation, operated by the U.S. Defense Department in Fort Benning, Georgia — even as he said he would continue to lobby for the school's closure.
The president claims that members of the now-defunct National Guard who were trained at the school, formerly known as the School of the Americas, were involved in torture. Human rights groups say graduates went on to commit abuses throughout Latin America. Ironic and hypocritical to say the least.. Sounds about like something John McCain might do.
As for Obama, let's just open the gates as he would suggest, and let anybody and everybody come here from anywhere on the globe. Heck, we've had the milk and honey and the freedom and security to ourselves for long enough!
Let's not be selfish! Let's all vote for doubling our population in 5 years, and shoot for at least double that again, in 10 years, shall we? A lot more crime is fine. I suspect the cops need the work, don't you? Our urban areas especially, need to be revitalized with 3 or 4 times more humanity. Usually, one can learn Spanish or Chinese or Arabic in Night School, assuming we'll probably need those to get by. So that's no biggy..
Who needs a Middle Class anyway? High and Low Classes are two, and that's plenty! Now we'll have High and Low and Foreign-Speaking, with foreign-speaking as by far the largest. So that's back to three anyway!

guys, guess who the ohio republicans are pulling in to vote for in march? Her name is Hillary Rodham Clinton. They strongly believe that if she wins the Ohio primary and goes on to become the Democratic nominee, she will be the one who unites their dispirited and divided party and gives them their best chance of keeping the White House this fall. Seems to me they desperately need a weaker candidate to go toe-to-toe with Mccain. I could be wrong.
Too scared to stand Obama, huh?

If America isn't interested in doubling her population, why do they still run the US green card visa DV programme? I don't get it. Maybe I'm just too dumb to think this way or have the believe that America still needs people from other countries.
Remember, America was built by immigrants.

You are missing a very simple distinction, but one that couldn't be more important.
Those programs are part of America's extensive "Immigration" program, and they are legal US Programs. We import Millions of Aliens from all over, into our borders every year and process them for citizenship. More than any other country in the world. In fact more than all other countries combined. No one has a problem with that. That's the way it is supposed to be.
Illegal Immigration however, is in no way legal and it has nothing to do with such standard Immigration programs, which go on constantly. Illegal Immigration is the result of human smuggling packed like sardines into the backs of trucks, jumping our borders on foot in the dark of night, climbing over the fence, and swimming the Rio Grande. This is not part of the US Immigration Program. This is thwarting the system. The latter is what makes up the 20,000,000+ Illegal population. Nothing to do with the Legal immigrant population.

She does not have a chance now!
