Despite the fact that I voted in the NY primary for Obama, I am more than a little tired of the cartoonish pictures and captions that accompany Hillary Clinton. I am tired of pictures that make her look fat, have 17 chins and accuse someone with a fairly moderate record of being Che Guevara's girlfriend.
And I am not alone. There are women and mean who have voted for Clinton, not because she is the first viable woman to run for president nor because she is married to Bill Clinton, but because we are sick to death of the misogynitic comments about her fat ankles and her "ugly" daughter.
The last time I checked, no one thought Rudy Giuliani, Fred Thompson nor Mike Huckabee could be president because they were pear-shaped or sported receding hairlines and bald spots.
And HIllary Clinton is not the only woman in politicis who has suffered this fate. Forum topics have included threads dedicated to Nancy Pelosi's possible plastic surgery and whether or not Chelsea has had a nose job.

Billary is a Marxist socialist - her so called health care plan is proof
There are pictures all over the internet of one of Obamas campaign offices that has CHe posters - no one seems to object!
Nancy Pelosi has had almost as much plastic surgery as Michael Jackson - I know the woman. Just go look at pictures from 5-10 years ago. To those that have known her since childhood she looks like a freakin clown!
Billary has had more of an extreme makeover than a 100 year old house that just got flipped. Where did those cheeks come from? Look at pictures of her from when Bill was first elected in the 90's
Her daughter needs a nose job - I dont think anyone said that she had one!
But it is OK for you to call Freds wife a bimbo and attack President Bush for being uneducated.

Since the "defeat" of the Clinton health plan,whose number one of the "socialist" aspects of the plan was "health care cooperatives, has been picked up and renamed by conservative Republicans. Rabid anti-Clintonites like Dan Burton have offered legislation creating the same "health care cooperatives" only under another name.
And before you start picking on Pelosi's chin line, Hillary's ankes or Barak's ears, take a good look at your hairline in the old mirror, Iam!

Apparently Billary and Pelosi are the ones that are not OK with their looks as they required a million dollar makeover!
And Chuckie and Joe had a problem with their hairline as they went to Mr Rays freakin hairweave for a $99 special!
BTW - Billary always wears pantsuits - How did YOU get a peak at her fat ankles??? I had no EYE DEAR!

Nice try. Women are held to a different standard when it comes to looks.
Bald pear-shaped, jowly men like Thompson, Giuliani and McCain...no problem, but a woman not looking her best is either castigated for her waistline or for her plastic surgery.

That picture of whomever it was said a thousand words to me! And all of those words told me the article would stink!
Once I saw the picture I closed the link. I knew it would just be a complete rant against Hillary Clinton!
The pic itself was a distortion of her face, if it was even her in the pic!
edited to add this....There is a poster on this thread that was mad because Medicaire or Medicaid did not buy hair plugs for his bald head!

I offered up a link to an article, I can't help the picture on the article, I didn't write it. I did not say anything on my first post other than I thought it was interesting. People started discussing Hitlary's looks... I said I thought she was ugly but that was NOT why I wasn't voting for her. What other commentary did I say. I wasn't even the one that brought up her looks. I think, I could be mistaken, that you were.

eastham - you are the one that first brought her bad looks to the thread. The article and post does not mention it. You were the one counting her chins.
I think that the picture ain't bad. I read an article in the BBC that said she bought 100 outfits that are Margaret Thatcher blue - just like the one in the picture!
Unfortunately for Billary - Margaret Thatcher she is not!

Funky, you may have "offered up" a link to an ariticle, yet you picked one with HIllary looking her worst. You may not think that her looks are important and you may not meant that your link has anything to do with her physical appearance, yet your provided a link that does.
Review yoru motvations and review your notion as to what is acceptable as a criticism for male candidates and for women.
