Much disturbs me on this monster as well as all others that do this. One thing that really disturbed me on this one is that no parent chaparones are mentioned on this particular away from home wrestling trip.

You would think after a while of this being exposed in every media we have people would get the message to watch for these type activities! Yet, everyday a new one pops up!
This is the first words, or there abouts they say, he was such a nice guy or I would have never have thought it!
I feel terribly sorry for that boy! But, those parents need something else...like the proverbial wood shed!

Right now he's got 31 counts against him. I wonder how many other kids and parents will come forward with claims. It always seems they come out of the wood work years later after the damage has been done.

Is this stuff getting a lot worse lately, or are we just hearing a lot more about it?
Until maybe 15-20 years ago, you rarely heard such things. Now it happens just about every day! What's responsible for such a growing trend? Or at least the appearance of a rapidly growing trend?
Is it something about the stresses of modern life that creates sickos more than ever before? Or was it always like this, but just more hidden? Seems to me it's a growing trend..

The problem identfying pedophiles is that unlike other criminals they don't start with crime A, master that and go onto crime B and up the ladder. These guys aren't first arrested for flashing people in the park, etc. Their first arrest is usually for molesting a child.
Actually read an interesting article on this subject earlier this afternoon. The experts have said that child molestation is a crime of opportunity as much as anything else. What I hadn't known is that many pedophiles have no sexual preference, their preference is simply children. Most don't have a gender associative identity and cannot form mature relationships with another adult of either sex. In clinical studies they can become sexually aroused by pictures of either sex. YUCK!
I hope they catch this guy, because he will hurt another boy or maybe even a girl if given the chance.

Yes, east...I recall reading some articles of that nature too on it being a crime of opportunity. Just like Cub Scouts, etc. are a few that come to mind.
On this particular case, I noticed that the child was given steroids. What I wonder is, why the parents didn't know and if they did know, why they didn't take their boy to his family practice physician for a physicial. It could have been a prevent measure. The molester has counts against him on this.

It has been 40 years give or take 3 or 4...I don't remember the exact date. But, there was a man caught in my town molesting his daughters! No one or practically no one believed he did it! I met the man and knew him. His personality and how he presented himself just did not say to a normal person this guy is a pedophile!
Well, he got away with his molestation of his girls! But, about 10-12 months after that he was caught molesting a little boy and girl! The man that caught him shot and killed him on the spot. He had removed his children from the room the guy was in to the next one then closed the door and killed this guy!
The Grand Jury ruled it Justifiable Homocide! End of story!
When I was very young people tended to handle this type stuff with more authority!
And "yes" I agree with handling pedophiles with this type authority! Because when they are let loose they are going to do it again and destroy more lives by taking a childs childhood away from them!

...Apparently, it goes much further than their childhood... into adulthood and who knows what ramifications take place.
...On another note, pedophiles are at the bottom of the food chain in prison and do not survive very well.

I didn't read it all, but from the first couple of paragraphs.
But I don't think it addresses my curiosity question.. I see a rapidly increasing trend in this kind of offenses, and was just wondering about why it would seem to be growing so much in modern times. Or, if it is simply the public awareness of it. I tend to think it's not a matter of being in the news more though, that there actually is a dramatically increasing trend. And as such, one is certainly inclined to ask "Why"? What the primary differences could be, in the eras..
Again, 25-30 years ago, (maybe a bit more) you hardly ever heard of such things.
I also didn't realize that many/most offenders had neither sexual orientation. That too comes as quite a surprise. Seems we should be able to recognize it earlier in that case, by recognizing that unusual orientation.

Children would have been more scared then than now. The stigma that goes along with it, especially if it is a parent could make life horrible for them in the community and schools.
I do believe this has went on for years and years, no one said much about it then.

Katts - I think that the internet has caused Child Molesters to explode! That applies to girls and boys. I contend that these crimes are much more prevalent than ever.
You can also thank the freakin ACLU for defending groups like NAMBLA under the guise of free speech to have a web site that promotes this crap and to send spam to solicit it.
So - in the eyes of the ACLU and their supporters - it is not OK for Marines to have a recruiting office that is allowed to properly operate - but it is OK for NAMBLA to solicit child molesters!
This is what the liberal world has come to!

Mass murderers and serial killers are too different beasts. The college student who shot a half dozen students at Northern Illinois is classified as a mass murderer. A serial killer may have a kill count as high or higher, but he does it one person at a time.
In the US, we seem to have far too many of both. It is unclear if serial killers are simply caughter earlier in Europe, but they have far fewer...Jack the Ripper not withstanding!

He will probably end up in prison, in private quarters, so he is protected from the rest of the prison population...
I also predict he will be released for good behavior, after all, there are no kids to f*** in prison. Once again, the death penalty looks mighty appealing.... But that will never happen, and if it does, it will be 20 years down the road, with a long list of appeals to save him.... In fact some woman will probably marry him while he is in jail... she will probably have kids, but she will be convinced EVERYBODY else doesn't understand him like she does........... 
Why do we choose to keep a slime like this alive? Are you willing to reform him and have him move in next to your kids/grand kids.....???
There are folks in this world who have proven what kind of individuals they are, we show them more compassion then the victims.
I only hope the liberals of this country never start to cry out, it is not his fault...................he was born that way.

@iam7545.....NO I do not think the ACLU did this nor does the police as they have been excluded in the search! But, they are looking for this guy and we will let you know when he is caught...stay tuned!
