Common sense without the knowledge that only education can provide is useless.

This is blatantly untrue. Try telling that crap to Bill Gates.

Seems to me that common sense requires an awareness of one's environment, personal condition, and that innate sense of knowing the next step to improve both. Average intelligence folk can have massive amounts of common sense and be quite successful...maybe not in Warren Buffett's terms but in their own individual lives. Others, quite book smart, may find it difficult to circumnavigate the minutest of paths. Like me sometimes. No, I'm not Einstein material, but I have just enough intelligence to be dumb.

Like the old bumper sticker says, " If you're so smart, why aren't you rich???"

instead of repressing expressions as is preferred by the Leftists who wish to master the world with socialism and a coexistance with dictatorship, tyranny, piracy, terrorism, criminal cartels, the subjugation of women, and imposed state religions having religious courts that routinely practice cruel and inhuman punishment and other human rights abuses on a captive population who cannot leave that religion without being sentenced to death, all without any meaningful appeals or appplication of the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

This statement is so blatantly ignorant that it warrants nothing more than ridicule which I happily provide at this time.

PUKE.

You get used to them.

It could be worse: He could be posting to Usenet, in some newsgroup devoted to politics or some such...

He could be posting to Usenet

But I prefer to attempt to influence imprecision thinkers even though they hate progress and would coexist with evil.

So, Becky and Daisy, is your world vision also stunted to include nations that are locked into dictatorship, tyranny, piracy, terrorism, criminal cartels, the subjugation of women, and imposed state religions having religious courts that routinely practice cruel and inhuman punishment and other human rights abuses on a captive population who cannot leave that religion without being sentenced to death, all without any meaningful appeals or appplication of the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights?

What solutions are you proposing or supporting other than the staus quo?

Um earth to Para.. the topic is COMMON SENSE..not what you are trying to make it...how you got from COMMON SENSE to that is beyond any explanation um why don't you start a thread yourself about those issues .. wait that would be using common sense huh..??.

Then a notion from outer space makes its appearance:

Sure the topic is COMMON SENSE, However it is allright to respond to what others post too.

And so far, I have not been accused of being insane, evil, a terrorist, tyrant.. and so on..ad nauseous..
where in the h** that insane rambling came from, I have no clue except to assume that he has been dropped on his noggin one time too many..

It comes from publicly siding with Napa who is a notorious critic of Precision Thinkers everywhere and also a blatant advocate for the antiwar copperhead democrat movement, which in effect, supports Saddam Hussein and his Baath Political Party genocidal predations by claiming that the USA should never have invaded Iraq.

Can't have it both ways, Daisy, When you support and flow power to the bad guys you end up earmarked by the fleas of the dogs that you lie with.

excuse me Para I have never aligned myself with any of those beliefs.. you are out of line with those accusations... but then when people are shown to be wrong they lash out with name calling and false accusations. and twisting posts ..tsk tsk a true precision thinker would not have to resort to such tactics

You are so going to turn my head with such flattery, Daisy.

For the record, I oppose Napa and his support for the bad guys. However, you IDENTIFY WITH HIS POSTINGS.

And it got you outed.

I wonder if North Carolina has any defamation laws, like my state does? Don't worry Daisy, your homeowners policy will provide you with a legal defense, but if you are branded as an imprudent intentional tortfeasor, they, and other underwriters, may not choose to renew your coverage or agree to give you a binder for a new policy. . .

You do realize of course, that since you don't reveal your "real" identity with your pseudodym, you wouldn't have a case for defamation. No matter what she says, Daisy is incapable of harming the reputation of a real person by commenting on the attributes of an internet avatar. You would have a hell of a time coming up with any proof in court that anything she, or anyone else, has said about "Paralegal_at_Law" has actually damaged you in any way, except possibly reducing your chances of getting a date through this site. And all due respect to Daisy, I doubt her opinion of you has swayed anyone who wasn't already of the same opinion.

This is especially amusing given your proclivity for labeling people with all kinds of defamatory labels and names and lying about what their positions actually are on any number of issues.

Second childhood, maybe.

And Para? I don't approve of the bad guys. I just don't think that we've got super magical powers that let us defy reality. You've got to deal with the bad guys from a position of accepting the real world constraints.

Yes, if we had a military that was 300 times larger than it currently is, we'd be able to suppress every bad guy on the planet. Of course, that would be the entire population of the United States (and probably Canada as well?), so there would be no-one earning the money to tax to PAY for that military. But hey, continue to fantasize all you want.

Fantasy is the last refuge of those who can't deal with reality. It's fun to visit fantasy-land, but one shouldn't spend your life there.
