I have long enjoyed this feature on the website

tolerance.org

The current test/study is about how you feel toward the presidential candidates. The link on the page above will take you to the tolerance.org website .. from there click on "Explore Your Personal Biases" ..which will take you to a Harvard.edu webpage.

This is not the usual junk 'survey' online. It's based on how long it takes you to decide on your answer .. and how many mistakes you make. Try not to make too many mistakes or go too slow or it cannot evaluate your responses.

My own analysis (and it's certainly not necessary to reveal yours) put all three in the very, nearly exact middle of the graph .. very close together .. in this order: Obama, Clinton, McCain

You will be asked for demographic info to help with their survey but you will not be required to sign up for anything or give your email address, etc.

Interesting study. My results did not align at all with my self-reported bias...I had Clinton substantially above the other two, but it would take a material threat of personal bodily mutilation before I would vote for Clinton.

This site also offers other/similar studies/tests. You can follow the link and sign up/ register .. so you can view and take their previous studies/tests. They've included age bias .. racial bias .. gender bias .. sexual orientation bias .. etc.

Your bias for a particular candidate is based on those subtle inclusions. The specific photograph or word presented .. the race, gender, age of the candidate. Your knowledge of and acceptance or rejection their individual political leanings is not the only things what their study will reveal.

I've participated on this site for years. Always enlightening results of these surveys .. and always good info to browse.

I hadn't visited it for awhile now, but was reminded it when I mentioned Tolerance in another forum thread earlier today.

(and HEY! You two! .. Nice to see you.)

"Your Implicit Preference Scale

There were too many errors made to determine a result."

...yes/no responses have errors?

...It must be an indication that I don't have a preference for any of their choices.

...Apparently, we need to start the primaries all over again.

Ahwww, come on ... try again ...

when the topic is Clinton .. and the photo is of Obama or McCain .. click *No* .. that would be the most common error. The clicks are about the person at the top of the test .., not about the person in the current picture to be scored with your E or I click (No or Yes)

I kept getting the red X and would have to pick the opposite of what I wanted to, in order to complete the question.

Did anyone else have this problem?

The red X meant you didn't understand the test ...

When Obama is at the top of the page, and Clinton's picture is in the middle .. it's a *No* .. no matter if the word was favorable or not. It meant the picture was not Obama. You make your selection based on the Person at the top of the page ..

I knew something was wrong when the first time I took it, Obama came up #1!!!
I just called that one a trial run to get the hang of it...after that I took it twice just to see if the results were consistent the second time...

yeah, and I bet unicorns and sugarplum fairies would be sweet too....

Thing is, sometimes you have to get rid of the snakes and alligators before you can clean up the swamp...and sometimes the damn things just won't go away willingly...

peace will never materialize when people use guns and its not our place to kick snakes and alligators out of a swamp because thats where they belong and if the prey of the snakes and alligators want them gone thats up to them not us
