An unstoppable ticket. If someone told me, a few months back that this dream ticket would hover in my head every second someday, I'd have said never. Today, I wake up every morning to Obama - Clinton for the presidency.

I ain't nuts or anything like that but I see an 80% chance of this happening.

Anybody out there with me on this?

If Obama disses Clinton for Veep, he loses the women vote unless he names a female lawn jockey to replace her.

The only way the Dems would get me to consider voting for them is to have Sen Clinton run.
Why would I vote for a man that has no idea who he is? I can't believe that people are considering electing a person that has no skills in running this country. He doesn't even like most people that live here.

That would be these people:
People that have guns.
Jews
Italians
Blue collar wprkers, you know, the people that might own a gun, drink a beer and watch sports!

The way I see it is Hillary will kiss up to be the VP for Obama, thats why she wont back out just yet.She knows the Democrats cant beat McCain without her and Obama on the same ticket.I'm sure Obama doesnt want Clinton as his running mate but he also knows he cant become president without her.
Personally I dont care for either but if Obama does win this election,it might be a good idea for America to have Hillary riding shotgun.
Shes no dimwit like Dick Cheney.

While I often bemoan the intelligence (or lack thereof) of the Idiot in Chief, don't underestimate Cheney. Shrub may be just a puppet, but my impression has always been that Cheney is one of the ones at the controls.

I tend to agree with Night on that, but I can't put my finger on why I feel that way. It's just something about the way Mr. Cheney looks that gives me that impression..

I do not think Hillary wants to be VP. She wants to be president.

The question is what position does she want, if the DNC and the media succeeds in putting Obama in.

Obama has been at times coy and other times arrogant about whether he would ask her to be VP. Now he is starting to grovel. He knows he cannot win without her on his side. I think that is one of the many reasons she stayed in the race. Just to show him and the party how much support she has and how much power. However, I think she is going to use that power to keep the party united. I don't know if I could be that generous after the way she has been treated. I doubt it.

I agree and believe that nothing else motivates her.

I agree however would like to add something; She may actually turn him down if offered the VP as it would put the presidency four more years away for her. her reason will be so that she can continue to serve the people of New York as she has pledged or something to that effect. If he craters, which he probably will (although I hope he wins) then she will become the next choice to lead the Democratic party.

She is a Clinton and they have class, as well, she still has her state to face up to and cannot become petty. While agreeing with you about getting the shaft from the press as well as the party, she still has to shoot for '12 where she will be almost unstoppable.

I really don't know if she would/will. It would be good for the party, but I can't imagine Sen Clinton would like being around Sen Obama's wife much. 2 strong willed women on a campaign trail togther????

He'll "offer" it to her...she'll "politely" decline saying thanks but no thanks, I feel I can do more good----------------------- (fill in the blank}. If the deal hasn't been made, it's damn close to a done deal. She will be given the cabinet post of her choice, or an appointment to the Supreme Court, or Majority leader....whatever she wants...in return she will be be sweet and supportive.

Or something like that!!!

She WILL NOT be the veep candidate...and I'll take any & all bets on that.....
