It has been obvious to most since Clinton failed to clinch an overwhelming delegate majority on Super Tuesday that it was going to come down to who got put over the top by superdelegates. After Super Tuesday there was little belief either had the commanding margins that indicated they would split delegates in a way that would yield either of them enough pledged delegates alone to secure the nomination. There was some suspense in waiting to see if either would make some huge gaffe that would strongly tip the scales, but one reason there has been so much talk about superdelegates is that it was recognized early on that, barring some political catastrophe on the part of one of the candidates, they would probably cast the deciding votes in the end.

The superdelegates put him in last night. You are correct.
It takes 2,118 to win. Following is what they each had without the super delegates.
Clinton Obama 1,640 1,763
As you can see, neither one had enough to win.
Did you know that the super delegates can change their minds and move their votes to the other one?
All I know is I didn't. And isn't it sad, that once again, the voters did not get to decide?
I think it was the media Yes I agree, they did everything they could to help him and hurt her.

None of the above. The black people put him in. Ya know...the ones that call everyone a racist and then vote for a man based on the color of his skin.

The black people put him in I agree with that one too. Many of the blacks that voted for him were the ones Bill and Hillary Clinton did so much for. If that isn't racism, I don't know what is.

live with it ..get behind him and get him elected No. I do not follow a party. I follow a candidate I respect, and that is NOT Barack Obama.
yes we are the laughing stock of the world REALLY? How many people outside of this country have you talked to? Because I've talked to quite a few, including my current boyfriend, and none of them are laughing at our country. They're all European, too.

The U.S. is NOT a laughing stock. I have a lot of friends in Europe who would love nothing more than to visit this country, and some would prefer to live here than where they are.
BTW - Your "Hitlery" thing - it's not cool. It pisses me off a lot in fact. I know full well from my past associations and even past beliefs the things that Hitler did to people and it's not funny in any kind of way to compare someone to that nasty f***ing piece of shit even if you don't like them. I've said that to people who have compared GWB to him as well.

irish...if it wasn't for hillary, you wouldn't even have half a vote.
If florida fought half as much as hillary did for you, you might have had a full vote.

Yes, she voted for the PATRIOT Act in 2001, but so did many other Senators and it is important to understand the state of the country at the time that made many people feel like that particular legislation was necessary.
Just because you own a Bible and a gun, just like many other Americans do, does not mean that you will be labeled an "enemy combatant". Many people with Bibles and guns voted for Hillary.

patriot " act ..it gives the president ultimate power If you truly believe that to be the case then you apparently do not understand what this act is about at all.

Irish, regardless, it is NOT fair to compare a vote for the PATRIOT Act to the slaughtering of millions of people based on their ethnic background. I will not accept it; I don't care if you're joking around. It is a huge pet peeve for me...
