I honestly think I'm going to cry.

I remember watching Tim when I was 12 years old during the 2000 election....he was the source I turned to for news...

I have watched Meet The Press every Sunday since the year 2000....

Oh my god....

OMG I had the TV on until just before that, I guess.

One thing we know for sure....is...that we never know what's gonna be from one minute to the next.

That's very sad news. I will miss his words.

I really enjoyed Tim Russert. I always though he was a fair reporter. How sad today has become. One never knows. We need to live life as if we have no tomorrow.

I just heard the news how sad. He had just returned from a family vacation and his wife and son are still in Italy. What a horrible time they must be having.

Part of me feels like (or wants to believe) that he will jump out in a few days and be like "HAHA I WAS FAKING IT AND YOU FELL FOR IT HAHA OMG"

I just wish....

I thought the same thing...that it was some sort of Friday the 13th joke, but then Tom Brokaw got choked up, and I knew it was real

God I guess Friday the 13th really is cursed, huh.

Earlier today when I was talking to Marko, before I found out about Tim's passing, this kind of depressed feeling took over me. I had no idea what was wrong but I just began to cry. A few minutes later I read your blog, EF, and I figured that (Tim's death) must have been why.

I've just blogged about this and how it is affecting me, if anyone's interested.

In an era when the media has become one gigantic overblown National Enquirer, Mr. Russert was a shining star. I also watched him every Sunday morning I could, and he was great on Imus too. He was as close as there was to neutral in this day and age, and he'll be sadly missed, and more importantly, impossible to replace. It's a sad day for folks who like to hear "important" people say what they have to say, and no one was better at letting them, and more importantly, calling them on it when they were spinning, playing both sides of the fence, flip flopping, or flat out lying. I already miss him.

What hurts me so much is that not only will this be my first Presidential election without him but he will not be able to see the results of this historic Presidential election which he was so excited about.

It stings. Really and truly, it does.

I suspect that Brokaw will take over until a suitable replacement is found.
