no..what ..I..am..saying.. is ...that...McCain.. is..a.."clone" ..of ..bush.....
his policies.. his attitude and his platform..in other words.. if "bush clone" gets elected.. we will have another 4 years of "bush et al" running the government...
Four more years. Four more years. Four more years. Happy days are here again the sky above is clear again, happy days are here again!
Bush should resign and after pardoning Dick Cheney with a sealed pardon not to be made public until President McCain's inauguration day on January 20, 2009, and in so doing, let Cheney be President, and the deal would be for Cheney to to appoint John McCain's selected Veep candidate as the new Vice President oif the United States under the 25th Amendment.
President Cheney could then pardon George W. Bush, Condoleeza Rice, and the rest of the war cabinet as his last act in office as President of the United States of America.
Then George W. Bush and the war cabinet could take a tour of Brattleboro, Vermont, fall in love with that quint New England bastion among the sugar maple trees, buy some property there, and establish the North American Headquarters of Dick Cheney's Haliburton company import a few hundred Haliburton super executives, servants, bodyguards, and die hard Republican political activists who would be numerically strong enough to control the municipal elections with a view to elect GWB, Donald Rumsfeld, and Condoleeza Rice to the Brattleboro Board of Selectmen, where the good guys could control the Town Meeting and elect the Moderator as the outvoted and outraged Birkenstock radicals act out their displeasure only to be arrested by the President's Secret Service security contingent in their new capacity as auxiliary police officers of Brattleboro, Vermont who are especially trained to arrest illegal aliens with power to cooperate with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Federal Police.
Then when the good guys control the Brattleboro Town Meeting, someone from the floor could move to issue a warrant to arrest the Hon. Dennis Kucinich and offer to extradite him to any foreign power who deigns to take him into custody for treason against humanity with intent to shuck and jive.

McCain a "clone" of Bush? Well, if you go back several years and look at McCain's voting record and his stance...he was no where near being a clone of Dumbya!
But, since he has been running for President he has changed. His record speaks for itself. He has taken on an almost Bush shadow during his campaign! Actually he is playing politics with all sides of the republican party. And folks that is politics!
Another thing how will he be if elected? I believe he will revert back to the old McCain. In other words, he will do anything to get the job done that he wants. Up to and including kissing the Democrats azz! Since he has crossed the isle many, many times in the past he will again!
And he is not using race against Obama! And he could. Well, it is not over, the race, as yet! We will see.
Just my thoughts and observations!

You know if I were the one who started this thread I would be getting all kinds of whining about it. And maybe rightfully so in this case. For a great many people it has always been about race with Obama. From the moment he announced he would be running the secret service had to be deployed because of death threats. Colin Powell won't run because of it. And Obama's wife tried to talk him out of it for the same reason. Obama is mixed raced but it's still an issue for a lot of people and it's been that way all of his career.

i cant honest say i,m all that happy with obama. mccain i respect him . for his service to his country. but could never vote for him. i have friends in Iraq, but don't mean i agree with there fight.

There will always be coffins of Americans sent home from abroad, especially if we allow the terrorists a free hand to prey at will upon traveling Americans.
Numerically, the casualties of the Iraq war have been very light, compared with prior American wars, so Iraq is not making mincemeat out of everybody we send there.
It is obvious to me that there is an imperative to garrison Iraq "for the duration" of several generations and export American culture to displace the Middle East muck that has stuck that region in the dark ages for way too long.
Liberals won't like it, but then again I don't like Liberals so I take what they want with a grain of salt, mostly because they are selfish couch potatoes who won't do their duty and simply want comforts and instant gratification while demanding that the government do more and more for them, thereby creating a federal monster government with its fingers into every aspect of domestic life as we all pay more and more taxes to support the Federal Santa Claus Big Brother government with miles and miles of red tape regulations.
The only sane solution is "zero tolerance" of Liberals.

Well, O, according to the Rasmussen poll, Obama leads McCain nationally by 7 points. Obama is now leading McCain in states like Montana, states that voted heavily for Bush in 2004. The Rasmussen Power Calculator has Obama with 200 votes in the Electoral College versus McCain's 171. When "leans Obama" states are added into the mix, Obama has 293 EC votes, 23 more than he needs to win the presidency.

Obama is a "sprinter" but it is hoped he will peak too early and then backslide, especially as the truth about his very questionable personal associations and Marxist leanings hit home among the electorate.
This is an Obama vs.Obama referendum on the suitability of Obama to occupy the White House, with McCain inheriting nearly 100% of the anti-Obama votes cast.
I thought it would be almost impossible for any woman to meet Hillary Clinton as far as negatives are concerned, but Michelle Obama is actually WORSE and is overwhelmingly hated by Americans.
The white male vote has always decided all Presidential elections and I would not be surprised if the "race card" is played by some hard-core right wingers such as the KKK, Aryan Nations, skinheads, etc. who definitely calibrate myself, a mere hawk, to be far toward the political center in comparison. Just like Bill Clinton had his periodic "Bimbo eruptions" we can only speculate as to how many of Barack Obama's former lovers, both black and white, will emerge from the woodwork during the campaign, which cannot but hurt Obama with the white male constituency. I recall that Larry Flynt (Publisher, Hustler Magazine) posted a huge reward for any Congressional Mistresses to come forward with kiss and tell all pillow talk expose' titillating tales. Congressman Wilbur Mills had his Fanny Babe who confessed that she could not type even though she was pocketing a hefty congressional secretarial paycheck, do a spread in Playboy, and I can't even remember now which Bimbo gave a press conference about doing the dirty deed with her Congressman on the US Capitol stairs?
Remembering that the first we remember seeing of Obama's presidential campaigns was his T-Shirts emblazoned, "I love Obama" worn by huge chested women, it would see that Obama voluntarily "opened the door" to speculate as to just how intimate these bosom buddies of Obama really were, including any explosive black or white girlfriend abortion claims, and including any jilted women who gave it all up to Barack Obama, only to be kicked to the curb by him as he moved on to bigger and better deals, with other women?
If there is any Obama "Bimbo eruptions," multiple allegations of putative Obama paternity, or other like or similar tawdry revelations, Barack Obama's popularity with both women and also white men will plumet to GWB levels of popularity.
I am very certain that the Clintonistas have no illusions that Barack Obama was a virgin when he married Michelle, and have invested some of her deep pocket $20 Million in HRC campaign debt in hiring an army of private detectives to use the tried and true tactic of the flashing of lavish "pay-olla rolls" of hard currency, in order to to loosen the lips of former Obama's girlfriends with tabloid stories of back seat encounters of the up close and personal kind or hotel room or kept woman apartments, and etc.
Remember the deposed Governor of New York had his Bimbo de jure that he crossed state lines to commit a Mann Act violation with, simply come right out and ask for some big pay-olla bucks, when she offered to bare her breasts for Girls Gone Wild, only to be reminded that she had already displayed all she had for their soft porn cameras when she was a teenager.
It is inevitable that as the campaign gets down the backstretch, that this election is going to get messier and dirtier by each passing week.

I have to agree with Para. I think the " race card " will be played but without the approval of the Mc Cain camp. The Mc Cain family went through dirty politics last go around and I don't think they want to open the door to anymore of that. And to his credit, with the exception of the Rev Wright issue, Mc Cain has been pretty consistent in denoucing racially charged accusation against Obama so far. If, and when, it comes it's going to by folks outside of the Mc Cain camp. And will be meant with a swift response by both camps.
I wasn't aware that Mrs. Obama was more unpopular than Hillary Clinton. But then I don't watch much news as it's all so slanted these days. In the community where I live which is ,admittedly, prodominately black she very popular. And I haven't heard any complaints about her from people of any race or culture. Interesting, where do you get your stats from Para ?

Well, according to Fox News, it's Obama 309 vs. McCain 229
Of course, as we all know, you can't believe anything on fox News so, McCain is leading by 309 to 229 for Obama.
