We got rid a Hussein. We give em 6 years a rebuilding. I figure that outter be enough. IUt's up ta them to their own thing. We can't nursemaid em forever.

Sidesm they donna want us.

Even if they did, we can't afford no more.

It ain't about helping Iraqi's, its bout insiders linning their pockets when big hunks of govermentaled money is gettin pushed around.

Time to stop the circus.

TIme ta take up something beside leaving Americanal blood on foriegn sand.

Enough done been enough already.

first off he never done anything. to one american person.

this is so not true..... he was a dictator that caused some of the people he ruled to hate us...and his reason was only to further his own agenda...

Fortunatly for the world we actual Americans have concerns about people that arent Americans.Hitler never did a thing to my uncle killed in Normandy.
Hirohito never did a thing to the Sullivan family killed on the USS Indianapolis.

Similar to what I mentioned in another thread...

SOMETHING GOOD.......

Saddam was captured and brought to justice.......his sons got what they deserved.

The people no long live in fear and trepidation of what he and his sons might do to their daughters or sons.....or soccur teams or his own military.......if they did not do what he wanted......or as good as he wanted it.

There are no new mass graves being dug with hundreds lying in them.

No more people being fed to his dogs or his sons dogs.

(They might be having other hardships.....but what could be worse than this)

I'm happy you're happy about it -

Identified as killed in action today and yesterday:

Cpl,. Marcus Prudhomme of N. Miami Beach, FL, 23 years old.
Capt. Phillip Dyckman of Brickman, NY 38 years old.
Lt. Col. Max Galeai of Pago Pago, American Samoa, 42 years old.
Maj. Dwayne Kelley, of Willingboro, NJ, 48 years old.
CWO Robert Hammett of Tucson, AZ 39 years old.
PFC James Yohn of Highspire, PA 25 years old,
PFC Joel Taylor of Pinetown NC 20 years old.
Sgt. Alejandro Dominguez iof San Diego, CA - 24 years old.
PFC Bran Thomas of Lake Charles, LA 22 years old.
SPC Joshua Placica of Clarksville, TN, 20 years old.

And the icing on the cake is that the people they died to help will become tomorrow's terrorists...not to mention the fact that our kids and grandkids will be paying the interest on the billions we're borrowing to conduct this war, and paying a lot of it to China and Japan.

You know something, if you give to the poor until you have nothing left, you haven't really helped them, only joined them...

Sadam an his sons being oustered is a good thing. I appreciate that we have helped Iraq. I am sayin it is time ta shut it down. To keep it going cost too much blood and too much money

From the news I read today, it looks like Iraq wants us to have a military base there too.

I was just telling Haban last night that I bet this would happen.

Jay, what do you disagree about with what Marylou wrote? You don't think it is true?

I know Jay can speak for himself, but while I'd never compare Dubya to Saddam, I have been against going in there from day one and before.

Yes, Saddam was an SOB, and so were his sons. Do you think they were worse then Robert Mugabe or Kim Jung-Il? Maybe Australia should go into Zimbabwe and start sorting out the mess over there? How many thousands of YOUR sons, fathers and brothers are you willing to sacrifice? How much blood and money will YOU put in there to try to fix the world, knowing full well that you're going to be hated for what you do? We haven't had any terrorist attacks on US soil since 9/11, but I think that's mainly because we're doing exactly what al Qaeda would do if they could run our government for us.

I think this country has done more than it should have already - we totally disrupted the balance of power that Saddam was providing there, and I think that many of us, and not just Americans, will be paying the price for that down the road.

Garybelton/Gary/Bamagary
but of course we only attack countrys with oil.

More idiocy from Gary. Iraq is the only country the US has invaded that has oil.

For your memory challenged perusal;

2001 invasion of Afghanistan by United States-led coalition

1994 invasion of Haiti by a multinational force (MNF) led by the United States

1989 invasion of Panama by the United States

1983 invasion of Grenada by the United States and allied Caribbean nations

1962 invasions of South Vietnam by the United States

1961 invasion of Cuba

Of course, if you had a shmick of what you were talking about you would know this. Instead of learning what is going on, you will simply continue with your campaign of disinformation.

Garybelton/Gary/Bamagary
look at our gas prices

Look at the gas prices the world over gary. A barrel of oil is what it is and has little to do with anything except stock markets and refining capability.

Garybelton/Gary/Bamagary

well while Saddam was alive i visited iraq. never had no problems there.

Where in Iraq did you go, when was it and why were you there?

Garybelton/Gary/Bamagary
why not north korea. or dufur.

Simple Gary, they were not in violation of ceasefire terms and situated next to saudi Arabia. Here, once again are the reasons for the invasion;

- to get Iraq to comply with ceasefire terms
- to stop Iraq’s Inadvertence to UNSC resolutions
- to force Iraq to cease it’s violation of human rights
- to stop Iraq’s material breaches of UNSC resolutions
- to end Iraq’s WMD capability and aspirations
- to end repression of Iraq’s civilian population
- to force Iraq to return or cooperate in accounting for Kuwaiti and third country nationals
- to force Iraq to return Kuwaiti property wrongfully seized by Iraq,
- to end Iraqi Support for terrorism
- to show America has the will to help allies and destroy foes
- to depose a regional threat take in Saddam that would have to be dealt with sooner or later
- to force action from SA to take care of it's radicals
- to pressure other regimes in the area not to provide passive or active support to Jihadists
- to position US troops in the region in force to enable that pressure
- to aid their global and NATO mission by placing a Strategic Air Support base
- to support and help create an Arab democracy as an example to others
