Next time you get hurt, stop and think about it.

When you stub yer toe real good, think about the folk in Iraq gettin their leg shot off.

Next time you burn yer finger pretty bad ona stove, and it hurts liike hell, think about the Americans coming back with burns over more an 50% of their body.

When you get a nasty cut on yer hand while gardening, think about what it is like fer our boys an girls getting their hands blown off.

People proclaiming support for the war is what make the political leaders thinkin that they got us fooled, and it is OK to keep sending the common folk ta die while they line their pockets.

It;s not OK

If you speak out for the war, there is blood on YOUR hands

I do speak in favor of the war and I am not fooled. I liked it when we liberated Iraq from Saddam's clutches and stopped the genocide against the Kurds. I like it that we have killed so many terrorists and insurgents with so little loss of American lives.

You believed the song about WMD's

The "insurgents" are people fighting to get us out of their country.

Killin them dont justify killin our people as well.

Every commander has the onerous duty to send some troops to their deaths when an assault must be made.

The Duke of Wellington once said the second most terrible thing to see is the aftermath of a battle won.

But we do not back down from executing criminals and that is exactly what we are doing in every police action to liberate a nation.

We expect some casualties and absorb them stoically when losses are incurred, assured of the final victory when the hostiles and enemies are obliterated, so that we can forevermore then have a golden era of peace and prosperity in a world without enemies or war.

Until then, we should continue to kill the %$#^*&^$#@+* until the unconditional surrender or obliteration of those who oppose us.

For instance, Jaybird, you are expendable.

And each time i vote i vote for the party that will ensure that my children will not be facing a Qutbist nation armed to the teeth with modern weapons as they take onver nieghbors and propagae their murderous philosophy.

Yes Jay, I have thought about it. Maybe you should start by getting rid of your 'no blood for oil' sandwhichboard and doing some research into who and what the enemy that the west faces wishes to do.

Before the next time we have terrorists kill thousands upon thousands of people just in this country, thank those that gave there blood combating them because that "next time" didnt happen sooner then it did.

The next time our boys and girls write home telling us about how gratefull people are in the country they are helping them in,give it just a sliver of the attention you give to youtube and the Bush-bashers.

Intersting perspective.
I find that I do this very thing.
Last month I jammed my hand when installing cable and phone lines and it hasn’t been right since, but I think it fails in comparison to what our men are going through, so I do think of them and know they have it so much worse and I feel I have no room to complain..
The American media has done it’s best to push the issue to the back of the pages but many of our men and innocent civilians including women and children have been severely wounded or have lost their lives and the Bush administration refuses to show video of this because they are afraid.
They are afraid that seeing this reality will turn more people against the war, so they carefully control information of what we see.
If you can control information you can control thought.

If you knew nothing else about this administration wouldn't their fear and inability to be transparent , secrecy and history of lying give you a clue that this administration is corrupt.

Anyway back on point, lets not forget those that are suffering and stand up against what Bush is doing in the world to create this Chaos and Bloodshed.

the Bush administration refuses to show video

It should be illegal to photograph and disseminate images of American war dead.

Our government does not parade our War Dead around like morons either. It is a sign of respect, not fear of public opinion as all the names are published on television, radio and in the papers complete with bios on who they were, how they lived, where they were form and how they met their end.

If you support the war, then you have to stomach the reality of it.
Other wise we all just become removed from it, not unlike some video game.
It could be done respectfully.

For instance bush won't even show the flag draped coffins, simply because it expresses the reality of war and might effect public opinion against the war in the same way that the reality of war on the evening news turned public opinion away from the Vietnam war in the 1960’s and 70’s

The next time just happened and in our own back yard. They didn't even have time to the think about the others that have killed in the war that they might have been going to Iraq to aid those that are injured.

They are afraid that seeing this reality will turn more people against the war, so they carefully control information of what we see.

Its called NATIONAL SECURITY and NOTHING should interfere with a war effort nor give aid and comfort to the enemy, including playing into the enemy's plans to sow dismay among our populace by circulating horrific photos of our war dead.

Plus, it should be a state secret how many troops we have lost or were wounded, and if we lost any aircraft or ships due to the predations of war.

Freedom of the Press does not include the publishing of state secrets.

All such military secrets should be guarded which is why the government should closely control information and what the general public sees.

We do not want the public to see the mutiliated bodies of their loved ones dead on the field of battle. That is disrespectful to our war dead and also to their friends and loved ones.

Public support for the war effort should be cultivated and preserved as a National Security priority.

These common folk as you call them are really extraordinary not common at all. And they volunteered because they understand the ramifications of a non action attitude, which is defeatist at best self destructive at worst. Should this threat be ignored the long term issues will be disastrous for the world not just the USA. So what brilliant plan do you have to avert this looming disaster jay?
