Since when did you ever ignore anyone posting facts?
Especially when your sheep are all running around "bleating" at you for guidance!

I consulted for one of the largest Rehabs in the region. They had both private patients and those that paid as an alternative to prison. My contact with them was political as I helped get them state funding as an alternative to prison. I worked with them for 3-4 years off and on. During this time I learned much about addiction and the recovery world. Most of the people I worked with were in recovery and they taught me what compassion and unconditional love really is. I learned that once a person understands addiction they have to have compassion.
eggacy, your lack of compassion to others with addiction leads one to believe that you are either a drunk or a dry drunk. Nothing else can be true as you just do not get it.
Vinny, that is immpressive and I will take your word for it but for right now I am in this for me and me only. I hope to one day with more time under my belt be able to help teens who are suffering with addiction. Thanks for the comment and sharing your story!

legacy1.....Remember sometimes what you see may fool you! When talking to one ID you will be talking to the same person posing as another! I don't see anyone being more stupid and ignorant than G-ayman...

Cindy McCain, the wife of our next president...a video well worth watching. Somehow, I don't think Barack is going to toss over Michelle for Cindy.

Somehow, I don't think Barack is going to toss over Michelle for Cindy. Yea, like he'd stand a chance with Cindy McCain.
He had better stick with Larry Sinclair!!!

Thanks for the comment and sharing your story! eggacy, You cannot be in recovery and be in it for you and you alone. That idea violates the foundations of 12 step recovery. Anyone knows that.
I will assume that you are a dry drunk trying to do it on your own.
When you are ready for a rehab let me know. I have many connections.

I am on step 3 and no where close to 12 where it talks about spreading your message to others who need help. Thanks for the gesture and if needed...I will let you know. Much appreciated!

eggacy, good luck. Try to be compassionate to other addicts - it will lead to self forgiveness.
The magic of AA is that Dr Bob and Bill W realized that when they were helping others they stayed sober. Help others and have compassion eggacy.
It will help you.

Everyone has an addiction. Some are just more self destructive then others. And some are destructive to others as well (family, friends, innocent bystanders).
It is always a long road back from addiction, and anyone who is willing to take the first step should be cheered on, and praised for every step along the way. No one is an island, and no one can do anything alone.
We all need help sometime in our life. The hardest thing to do is to admit help is needed, to get that help, and for some the hardest of all is accepting that help.
Good for you, Legacy, keep up the good work.
Katie
