Obama has virtually NO experience at ANYTHING that would qualify him to be president.
The only experience he has that would be applicable is his experience in the US Senate. But he has virtually none of that. And the tiny amount he does have was spent doing absolutely nothing. He sponsored no bills of any significance, participated on no activities of any significance and didn't have a single accomplishment of any significance. The rest of it was spent running for president.
If you want to give Obama any credit at all for the few days of experience he actually had in Congress, you should also note that while he had that opportunity, he used it to demonstrate that he is a lackluster performer at best. If you were given a probationary period to show what you could do, and you did what Obama did, you wouldn't be given a promotion, you would be fired.
Contrast that with John McCain who has a lifetime of experience serving the country both as a military man in a 22 year military career who served with great distinction overseas in combat and as a POW, as a US Congressmen for 4 years and as a US Senator for 22 more years up until today.
There is no comparison whatsoever between Obama's credentials and experience and McCain's.
In contrast to Obama's zero accomplishment record in Congress, McCain has been the leader in spearheading innumerable successful and highly important bills and accomplishments in Congress. He has proven over and over that he has the foresight, the understanding and the leadership skills to lead the way. What has Obama done that demonstrates that he has even a fraction of that ability other than talk about it?
And Obama holds himself out to be the candidate that can unite the nation. Unite?! Obama is a divisive party hack. Name one thing he as ACTUALLY DONE to reach across the isle to Republicans and do anything like unite (not counting any disingenuous last minute flip flops in response to the latest polls).
Contrast this with McCain who is the REAL UNITER.
McCain has reached across the isle to Democrats over and over throughout his career to get things ACCOMPLISHED.
*McCain-Feingold *McCain-Kennedy *McCain-Lieberman *The "Gang of 12"
And on and on.
McCain isn't just an empty suit talker like Obama. He is an experienced, knowledgeable, LEADER, who has PROVEN that he has what it takes to be president.
Obama's knowledge of foreign affairs is worse than dangerously pitiful. It is more like non-existent. Contrast that with McCain's deep understanding that he has acquired over his many years serving the nation. At a time like this it is insanity to put someone like Obama in the White House if for no other reason than this.
You can go with the smooth talk, a wing and a prayer, or you can go with the man who has the experience, has the knowledge and gets the results.

Talks?
Diamond, did you see Stuttering Barry's performance last night with Rick Warren?
He is only a smoother talker when he is preaching.
The Debates are going to be fun.

Stuttering Barry got his ass whipped so bad last night that Barry's supporters are accusing Rev Rick Warren of cheating and allowing McCain to hear what Obama said. Of course Obama lapdog Andrea Mitchell was more than happy to float that out for them.
Stuttering Barry does not have the stomach for REAL politics.
Now, that is a great way to win over the Christians, accuse Rick Warren of cheating!
SEN. JOHN McCAIN (R-AZ): Defeat it. Couple of points. One, if I'm president of the United States, my friends, if I have to follow him to the gates of hell, I will get Osama bin Laden and bring him to justice. I will do that and I know how to do it. I will get that done.
(End videotape)
MR. GREGORY: Andrea Mitchell, that's a pretty clear contrast.
MS. ANDREA MITCHELL: Oh, absolutely. And, you know, there was the crisp, immediate, forceful response by John McCain, clearly in a comfort zone because he was with his base. And Barack Obama, taking a risk in going there but seeing an opportunity. And a much more nuanced approach. The Obama people must feel that he didn't do quite as well as they might have wanted to in that context, because that -- what they're putting out privately is that McCain may not have been in the cone of silence and may have had some ability to overhear what the questions were to Obama.
MR. GREGORY: Right.
MS. MITCHELL: He seemed so well prepared.

I did see the interviews last night.
What I saw was Obama doing the Clinton triangulation with every question. After every question he licked his finger, stuck it in the air and saw which way the wind was blowing. Then he formulated an answer based on whichever way he reckoned the wind was blowing at that moment.
Then I saw McCain. No triangulation there. Not nearly as slippery, not nearly as rehearsed, but genuine, to the point and the kind of responses I would expect from a leader who is more interested in substance than glitz.
McCain finished all the questions that Obama answered in half the time it took Obama. It takes a lot less time to answer when you know what you stand for and can skip the real time triangulation.
I agree. Obama got his ass kicked. And there is the usual attempt by the mainstream media to clean it up so that their candidate wins.

Andrea Mitchell is so up his ass it is sickening. She has zero sensibility in regards to neutrality.
Accusing Rick Warren, the most powerful Minister in the USA of cheating for McCain is not very smart.
Stuttering Barry has no stomach for politics. Soon he will self destruct.

Warren was cheating for McCain? Not in the interviews I saw he wasn't.
I thouhgt Warren was exceptionally neutral. I'm not going to say that he was cheating for Obama, but he certainly wasn't favoring McCain one bit.
By virtue of winning the toss and going first, Obama had a huge advantage. McCain didn't even start until what time on the East Coast? Was it 10pm I think?
How many people watched Obama and didn't even stay for McCain? And those that did stay, how long can their attention spans be for the same questions?
In a format like this, the one who goes first has a huge advantage, particularly if it is going to be on so late at night.
BTW...I think the format is excellent. It really gives you a way to contrast the candidates.
I think there is another change that could be made that would vastly improve the election process.
Just like they do with VP, candidates should have to declare who their Cabinet members would be before the elections.
I wanna know who I am getting. This is especially important in Obama's case since he is a guy with no experience and huge gaps in the knowledge it takes to do the job.
Doing this could actually work in Obama's favor if people feel that he will have a competent Cabinet that can fill in the gaps. Without knowing who he will pick, we are liable to end up with Louis Farrakhan for Secretary of Education, Tony Rezco for Secretary of the Treasury, Jeremiah "God DAMN America" Wright for Secretary of Defense, and Michael Pfleger for Secretary of State.
Did I mention Michelle "I've never been proud to be an American" Obama for Secretary of Homeland Security?

Diamond, Obama has no stomach for the tuff stuff. After his shellacking last night they do the cry baby act and then have to blame someone for the fall of the ONE!
I agree, McCain had a big disadvantage.

After every question he licked his finger, stuck it in the air and saw which way the wind was blowing. Then he formulated an answer based on whichever way he reckoned the wind was blowing at that moment. Somebody here said that "The Big-Eared Messiah thinks before he answers and I like a guy that thinks", LOLOLOLOL.
This is precisely what the "Big Eared One" thinks about without his teleprompter.
