Scarey to think that she might be the actual President if McCain keels over. She has been governor of Alaska for two years. Before that she was a mayor. Lets see......governor of an obscure state with a population of about 627,000....to possibly running the country?

I like the lady a lot, but.......
Seems like maybe McCain just made the same mistake bamarama did. His only hope of pulling it out is hammering away on bamarama not being experienced enough to handle the job. Yet because of his bouts with cancer, and his age, McCain possibly wouldn't finish his term, so who does he pick? Someone with even less experience than bamarama.
Not saying I see it that way, but bamarama now has some ammo he didn't have before. The more I think about it, the more it seems to be as stupid a pick as Biden was for bamarama.
We'll see I guess.

I think you can be sure, Alive, that the Dems are going to hammer away at that. And here is a lady who from all reports, was looking to overturn the GOB network that had existed in Alaska for a long time, and less than 2 years into office, she pulls out to run for veep? If Alaska turns back into the enclave of good old boys paying each other off the way it was before she got into office, there are going to be a lot of unhappy voters in Alaska.
Then again, even while under indictment, Ted Stevens won the Republican Senate primary in Alaska! Maybe this is a move to just get Palin out of Alaska and out of the way so things CAN go back to the way they were.

I said a few weeks ago I had a hunch this could be the pick and hoped it would be. For those of you saying this was a bad choice because she lacks experience...I might point out, she has more executive experience then Obama, Biden AND McCain!
The Democrats might want to tread a little careful, on the topic of her foreign policy experience. Lets not over look the fact that Obama doesn't have any either. When Bubba ran for President years ago...he also only had limited experience as a Governor of a southern fly over state!
When you really take a hard look at the choices McCain had to choose from...I think this was a very bold and smart choice he made.

I dunno...
Everybody thought that Teddy Roosevelt was a lightweight, with little national experience (Assistant Sec. of the Navy, police commissioner of NY) befrore he was nominated as VP. Liked to hunt and fish, and had a bunch of kids.
Then when the floor dropped out and he became president, he amazed everybody. I believe Governor Palin could do as much.
