I don't feel he made the best choice for VP, I'm sure she is probably a lovely woman, but I would much rather see someone like Condoleeza Rice as his VP, someone with more experience. I think it would have benefited McCain a great deal more.

Any thoughts on this?

It depends on how you define "right choice". She is for abortionist, the religious conservatives, and big oil---basically the republican base. But she isn't for the country. I suspect that the republican's aren't nearly as happy about the choice as they appear to be in public. I suspect that a lot of them aren't too happy about giving away the foreign policy edge that they are known for. Now, with McCain health issue at play, it's important that voter feel confident that his VP can handle themselves at this crucial time, when we are at war. That and I didn't like the way she went after Hillary Clinton supporters, as if all she had to do is mention Hillary to get their vote.

I plan to spend the next couple of days reading everything I can on all four of them, now that the tickets seem to be set. It is just as important who the VP is as the President choice, so I need to find the team that best parallels my own beliefs.

Explain how she did that, because I didn't feel attacked, and I was a Hillary supporter.

Just a guess, but not attacking them, but trying to bring them to her side (as in vote for her ticket)? Not sure this is what was meant though.

Here's your chance to compare the honorable Gov Sara Palin and Senator Chosen One.

You tell me if she was a good choice...

Tale of the tape.

I like what I've seen of Governor Palin, but I am pro-choice and pro-gay marriage, so I can't give her my complete support.

However, I do think it was clever of him to choose her. A bunch of conservatives who may have stayed home will come out now.

Romney would have been a clever choice, too, though.

What health issue? Does he have some fatal disease? Last I heard, he was a strong as a horse and got a clean bill of health. Maybe the doctors at the KOS know something the rest of the doctors that actually examined him do not?

Your bringing up being at war is a good point. Does anyone really want to trust a wishy-washy president like the Obamessiah while we at at war?? Watch this and tell me that you really want this piece of work to lead us in time of war:

Nightmarish Ignorance of Hussein

I think it was a brillant move on Sen McCains part!!!

She reminds me so much of the way I grew up and the things I did too.
Hunting, fishing, and sports.

Her being a member of the NRA helped me too.

Yes. If McCain wanted to make sure his Administration was cast into stone as another Bush Administration, that would have been the perfect move. As it is, he is trying to show how he is different, not the same.

For all of the lesbian feminists in the media that are slandering Palin here is a little place to check out the truth about Palins effect on the election.

This is the web site of the Hillary supporters. They have venom to aim at Obama and the media. Check it out. Read the forums there. They have jumped in with McCain/Palin and react with more venom each time they read the lesbian media whack jobs attack her. These liberals are playing right into McCains hand. I say - Marvelous move John McCain.

Check and checkmate. One day they will write a book about this.

So very Rovian!

Wow. who would have thought she would get that much support from the left? Between the Anti Abortion crowd, Christians and these disgruntled people I can see the brilliance on McCains part on picking her. And the fact her daughter is having a child out of wedlock actually turns into a huge bonus rather than a negative as they now have a ichon to rally behind in their theology of 'have the baby no matter what.'

Like Behan Behan said; 'There is no such thing as bad publicity unless it is your own obituary.' The more they squawk the more cemented the right becomes. Talk about keeping attention off Obama, all eyes are on the Republicans.

Palin called Hillary and her supporters whiners. She is also diametrically opposed to Hillary Clinton on nearly every issue.

Most of my friends who were die hard Hillary supporters will be voting for Obama and not McCain. In speaking to them over the weekend, they were to a woman, insulted by the notion that the McCain campaign would think that Sarah Palin is a worthy alternative. Hell, even my incredibly racist landlord is now thinking about voting for Obama because picking Palin demonstrated to him that "McCain is an imbecile!"

Got some proof to this assertion or is it just a lie? My money says "bovine excrement".

Obviously they are not part of the members of the Hillary Clinton forums that Viny provided the link for. Possibly your friends just think like you and do not represent everybody in the country?

Palin called Hillary and her supporters whiners

More disinformation from the in denial left

Palin's quote
"When I hear a statement like that coming from a woman candidate with any kind of perceived whine about that excess criticism or, you know, maybe a sharper microscope put on her, I think, man, that doesn’t do us any good. Women in politics, women in general wanting to progress this country. I don’t think it’s, it bodes well for her -- a statement like that."

Palin is a " real " strong woman. One who earned everything she has won, not rode the coat tails of her philandering husband for political purposes.

Pssssst. She actually believes what she says..... And doesn't put her finger into the wind to see which way it is blowing....... Or who is blowing who .
