Surprisingly, at least to me, from what I'm reading on the net, Sara Palin is going to kick Biden's butt in the upcoming VP debates. I don't agree. I think that Biden won't put his foot in his mouth, like he's famous for. I think he knows what's at stake, is extremely grateful for, at long last, potentially being just a heart-beat away from the Presidency; and his infamous debating skills will prevail But I guess time will tell. One thing is for certain. It's going to be the most watched VP debates in a long time.

Biden will not only get hammered by Sara at the debate, Biden will likely put his foot in his mouth so deep with a line of blatant, easily-refuted lies that it will make great cannon fodder on the web to help torpedo the Chosen One.

I agree, Onoudn, the debates should be interesting to watch. I will definitely find a way to catch as many of them as I can.

One thing is for certain. It's going to be the most watched VP debates in a long time. It is for sure. What gets me is that most people are either all 'for' or 'against' either candidate and leave little room for reality. To me, the reality is that he is an experienced, albeit well set in his ways Senator whereas she is a relative newcomer. One would feel that he should be able to walk over her but, she is used to winning, has confidence and therefore will be thinking calmly and, will be dealing with a well practiced, factual agenda. I certainly don't discount the possibility that she will, due to inexperience get caught flat footed on something however, it has been known to happen to even more experienced people like him as well.
It will be almost as interesting to watch as the McCain/Obama debates. A charismatic speaker such as Obama dealing with a ho hum sort like McCain who will be standing on a well grounded platform and Obama in a weaker position without a set script. I think McCain has the disadvantage here as Obama can slide through minor mistakes on sheer stage presence alone however, is more likely to caught up in a major gaff than McCain is that will be pursued to his disadvantage all the way to the elections.
On the other hand, I don't see such a possibility of a large error on Palin's or Bidens part hence, their debate will be simply to qualify her as a possible leader. In that respect, the VP debates have her with everything to win and less to lose as even if she loses, she still wins.

Let's be fair to Biden, if the debate grts into foriegn policy issues he will have a clear advantage there. If it gets into domestic issues, I think Palin will have an advantage.
Let's remember why Biden is on the ticket, it's because Obama was taking heat for his lack of foriegn policy knowledge. So he went for someone with a lot of that kind of experience.

It will definitely get into both and yes, he will have the advantage on the former but let's not over rate his advantage on FP. All she needs is a few well rehearsed zingers to throw back when the going gets out of her depth to bring it back to where it is controllable. All she needs is a tie on this or, simply not to get destroyed. As for domestic, I agree that she has the advantage as her knowledge would be from a totally different perspective that may trip him up severely in that she has, and can, deal with most of those policies from the recipient standpoint and could introduce some uncomfortable points and provide examples of why their policies will work and theirs, will not.
On another point, I believe that the presentation will be the bulk of the debate. How she comes off compared to him. Will voters see her as competent and cool without being a bitch or, as somebody that is intimidated and 'missing something?' As for him, will he fumble for words and try to attack and bully or, be calm cool and generous while stating sound points?

She'll pummel him with logic and truth, he'll respond with lies, lose his temper and tell her he has a higher IQ, respond with more lies and finally, when things get out of hand, his head will start to shake "scanner" like, then explode, showering the gallery with brain matter....

Biden is an uncontrollable liar. He can't help it. There is something sick in his psyche. He just lied about his wifes death. He spun some sick tale about a drunken driver that t-boned her. The accident was her fault.
Then he lied about his family background last week. If he could control his big mouth he would have been President a long time ago.
Palin will kick his ass. Call Rove said it best - "Biden is a loudmouth buffoon."
He is out of control.

Biden will probably lose if the debate is about Mommy Hockey , but if they get into real issues like foreign affairs, her inexperience will be blindingly obvious.

Kenn, yes I listen to Karl Rove. He has never lost an election. He won with Bush against all odds. Now he is helping McCain.
And kenn, he has much more than a 3rd grade education and can spell.

It really is funny how everyone like to talk about Biden being so smart about foreign affairs yet he's never been offered the job of Secretary of State in how many years he's been in politics now? ANd even said he would not be interested in the job, well, well why is that you think?

Ya it's so hypocritical how they describe the right as being so sexist and racist yet the right has more high profile non whites in key positions and here, a woman running for one of the highest positions. Kenn just proved himself a petty moron with that Neanderthal comment.
The left, fighting for equality huh?

nah - the same liberal feminists that fought so hard for Womens Rights have just proved that they are hypocrites.
If I did not hire a Woman that was qualified because she had a family- I could be sued.
These liberals are so phony it is amusing.

She might just surprise me and do great, but I think that her lack of experience, which is evident by many of those around her, including her mother in law, has the potential to be a great hindrance when debating Biden.

Vinny , GW is considered by most to be the worst president in the history of this country, and Carl’s views are lock step with GW’s. You apparently side with a very small minority in the country that support GW and It kills me how you righties will stand behind this failed presidency, and totally deny the mountain of evidence of countless deaths among inocents from this inept, corrupt and criminal administration.
I wonder how you sleep at night, oh yeah, no conscience.

I guess Nah is hallucinating again, I never said or insinuated that she couldn’t win because she is a woman
She plays woman’s hockey, everyone is talking in the media about her ability and experience-playing hockey, and so it was a joke about her political inexperience. Get it?
