An American tabloid newspaper has alleged that the Republican party's nominee for Vice President had an extra-marital affair.
It is the latest rumour about Sarah Palin, Governor of Alaska, who has already been forced to reveal her 17-year-old daughter is pregnant and faced questions about her links to Alaskan independence groups.
Republican Presidential candidate John McCain’s campaign called the National Enquirer story a smear and said they are considering legal action.
The paper claimed today:
"The National Enquirer's coverage of a vicious war within Sarah Palin's extended family includes several newsworthy revelations, including the resulting incredible charge of an affair plus details of family strife when the Governor's daughter revealed her pregnancy.

Gee, onoudn, what are you doing reading Europe's largest gay news service?
Is there something you would like to confess? Ah...this explains your love for Obama!!!
If you're going to quote something that is claimed to have emanated from The National Inquirer, why would you not post a link to the The National Inquirer web site?

Oh but let's not underestimate the National Inquirer. It's gotten a little respect since the John Edwards reveal. And, like I said, it's very unusual for a political candidate to sue a tabloid. I think the McCain camp is looking to play a little more on the sympathy vote.

what Behan Behan said still holds true;
There's no such thing as bad publicity, unless it is one's own obituary. The amount of energy dedicated to smearing Palin takes so much away from actual politics that it hides any real fault that she may have and, provides a standard for which her party to rally around.
Like, anybody heard what Biden is up to these days?

When those that dig for dirt...will find dirt
Pink News is a United Kingdom-based online gay newspaper.
The paper version, The Pink News, officially launched at the Law Society on 28 June 2006 by Francis Maude, Chairman of the Conservative Party, Meg Munn, Minister for Equality, Simon Hughes, President of the Liberal Democrats and Meg Hillier, MP for Hackney South and Shoreditch. It was suspended without explanation in early 2007.
The website however continues to update with original news daily.

O I've never heard of a cadidate for President suing a tabloid before.... They haven't though however, Obama probably would if Biden sobered up enough to straighten out his lies instead of compounding them. Bidens drunk driving lie
And I've never seen a VP candidate lying and destroying lives like this. So what is your point?
Oh, sorry O, forgot it was you. Don't bother, you don't have to prove a thing.
Sorry for harassing you by asking a question. forgive me.

Simon Hughes is gay? That's worse news than Sarah Palin's alleged affairs...
I hope she doesn't need a smear... she's suffered enough from her daughter's alleged transgressions...
Well the Pope harbours sexual transgressors in his church... does that make him a bad (vice! ) president? lol

......to sue or be sued....is that how it works??
http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1592857/20080814/browne_jackson.jhtml....Iser told the Times the lawsuit "is not politically motivated. It's a copyright infringement lawsuit, pure and simple, but the fact that Senator McCain has used this song in a hit piece on Barack Obama is anathema to Jackson." He also accused the McCain campaign of consistently using music without permission. "They used a John Mellencamp song until he made them stop, and he used an ABBA song and a Frankie Valli song — it's ridiculous and it's setting a terrible example," Iser said. "It's shocking that they don't even attempt to get permission. There's no copyright difference between using a song to sell cars or by people running for president. The music industry continues to suffer due to lack of respect for intellectual property rights, and a candidate for president has a duty to lead by example and ensuring their campaign does as well. The copyright protections are derived from the Constitution itself." damn.. here it is again.. that pesky little piece of paper getting in the way again.. you know.. the one called "the constitution of the united states of america"... ...

The scuttlebutt is that given the Inquirer's recent "scoop" on John Edwards, the McCain camp is worried. They didn't vet her properly; the campaign is not making her available to answer questions from the press, which won't work in the long run.

The democrats are terrified of Sarah and the press is already as popular as child molesters among Precision Thinkers.

The music industry continues to suffer due to lack of respect for intellectual property rights, They lost my respect over 10 years ago! I say if you have a song and you put it out there for everyone to listen to, you have lost control over it. They need to get off their highj horses and listen to what people really think about them.

McCain is acting more like she's his daughter going on her first date, than his running mate. I guess in a lot of ways she is like his daughter. But first date....yeah I see that too I guess....
