Joe turned up in LA doing a campaign gig. Probably old news to everybody though as he has been in the front pages so much in front of Palins slander coverage.

Anyhow, here it is ...........

After the Republican governor made the scene, a fickle press corps deserted the Delaware senator for Alaska. Palin's campaign plane was so full that they had to kick people off, Biden's so empty that reporters had their choice of rows to stretch out and take a nap.

Seems that the left keeps shooting themselves in the foot. She gets the publicity from the supposed scandals that morons keep throwing her way. Behan Behan explains the phenomena with a sharp phrase as apt then (1958) as it is now. "There's no bad publicity except an obituary." It's almost like the Collective press is being bribed by the republican party to find any little scandal they can to keep her in the forefront.

But in recent days something changed. While Biden was on a two-day bus tour of this crucial battleground state last week, Palin's celebrity began to wane, opening an opportunity for the notoriously loquacious senator to play a more significant role in the Democratic campaign after being largely overshadowed.

Her publicity began to fade because the Sound Machine was running out of ammo despite hundreds of shit diggers interviewing every disgruntled loser they could pry from any rock in Alaska, not Biden's popularity or drive in campaigning.

But there is a flip side to Biden's homespun chattiness: You never know what he might say.

The man who once praised the Illinois senator as "articulate and bright and clean" recently said Clinton might have made a better running mate. At a campaign stop in Missouri, he invited a paraplegic official to "stand up; let the people see you," before realizing to his horror that the man was in a wheelchair. "Oh, God love ya," Biden said.

To give credit where credit is due, he is, to me, probably the only candidate with real heart in this election. The last paragraph says it all;

"He said his son is going too," she recounted afterward, sitting down on the bleachers with tears in her eyes. "He put his forehead on my forehead and said, 'I promise you with everything in me that I will bring our troops home.' It was like nobody else was here."

I do hope that this man gets more coverage as he deserves it.

what the heck does Biden deserve but to be :

Excommunicated by his own 'gutess empty roman catholic church' for denying the protection of the unborn.

Biden was for years McCains friend then he turns on McCain like Obama turned on his Pastor and church of 20 years.

So tell me , what the heck is Biden but a 'Kennedy Wanna be'????

Poor guy has been reduced to a cocktail lounge comedian.

Another great choice by the Democrats.

Here we see him fabricating stories like Hillary about his BS experiences while visiting troops. This whck job is one lie per minute when he speaks. I guess at his age he is not hip to google.

The Story Behind Biden's Emergency Helicopter Landing in Afghanistan

September 22, 2008 6:19 PM

"Ladies and gentlemen, where are we now? Where are we now?" Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., said to the National Guard Association today, talking about the war in Afghanistan.

"If you want to know where Al Qaeda lives, you want to know where Bin Laden is, come back to Afghanistan with me," Biden said. "Come back to the area where my helicopter was forced down, with a three-star general and three senators at 10,500 feet in the middle of those mountains. I can tell you where they are."

Biden said that Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., "says he’ll follow them to the gates of hell. You don’t have to go to hell. Just go to Pakistan. Just go to that area. That superhighway of terror that exists between Afghanistan and Pakistan."

We hadn't heard before about Biden's helicopter being forced down, so we did some Googling.

After all, earlier this month at a fundraiser, he made a similar remark, when discussing how he doesn't care about the Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's controversies like whether she sold a state plane on eBay, or when she went from supporting to opposing the Bridge to Nowhere.

"What I care about is: What in God's name is she going to do -- along with John McCain -- about the thousands of people who don't have health care?" Biden said according to the Chicago Sun-Times. Biden said he would ask Palin about "The superhighway of terror between Pakistan and Afghanistan where my helicopter was forced down...John McCain wants to know where Bin Laden and the gates of Hell are? I can tell him where. That's where Al Qaeda is. That's where Bin Laden is. It's not in the country of Iraq."

In February 2008, Biden -- along with Sens. John Kerry, D-Mass., and Chuck Hagel, R-Neb. -- was on a chopper that made an emergency landing in the mountains of Afghanistan.

A snowstorm had forced them down.

No one was injured, and the Associated Press reported at the time that "the senators and their delegation returned to Bagram Air Base in a motor convoy, and left for Turkey.

"The weather closed in on us," Kerry told the AP at the time in a phone interview from Turkey. "It went pretty blind, pretty fast and we were around some pretty dangerous ridges. So the pilot exercised his judgment that we were better off putting down there, and we all agreed...We sat up there and traded stories."

Kerry joked, "We were going to send Biden out to fight the Taliban with snowballs, but we didn't have to do it…Other than getting a little cold, it was fine."

I found this so sad...

Later that night, at a rally at the College of Wooster, a liberal arts school in a conservative county not far from Canton, Biden is happily posing for pictures when a woman calls out, "I'm the mom of a U.S. soldier." She is Patty Groom, 47, with a 26-year-old son in the Army who just left for his second tour in Afghanistan. Her husband is laid off, her daughter is 9, and the paycheck Groom earns at the steel bearing plant isn't enough, so she has taken to charging the groceries.

"He said his son is going too," she recounted afterward, sitting down on the bleachers with tears in her eyes. "He put his forehead on my forehead and said, 'I promise you with everything in me that I will bring our troops home.' It was like nobody else was here."

The troops will return home; with or without Biden. I just hope that they all will return home......"alive" when they do.
