Clean up the economic mess without a $700 Billion bail out

It can be done for less than 60 Billion if they repeal the Mark to Market, read about it here.

Makes sense to me, if you read and agree, call or email your

Once upon a time a man appeared in a village and announced to the villagers that he would buy monkeys for $10 each.

The villagers, seeing that there were many monkeys around, went out to the forest and started catching them.

The man bought thousands at $10 and, as supply started to diminish, thevillagers stopped their effort. He next announced that he would now buy monkeys at $20 each. This renewed the efforts of the villagers and they started catching monkeys again.

Soon the supply diminished even further and people started going back to their farms. The offer increased to $25 each and the supply of monkeys became so scarce it was an effort to even find a monkey, let alone catch it!

The man now announced that he would buy monkeys at $50 each! However, since he had to go to the city on some business, his assistant would buy on his behalf. In the absence of the man, the assistant told the villagers: "Look at all these monkeys in the big cage that the man has already collected. I will sell them to you at $35 and when the man returns from the city, you can sell them to him for $50 each."

The villagers rounded up all their savings and bought all the monkeys for 700 billion dollars.

They never saw the man or his assistant again, only lots and lots of monkeys!

Now you have a better understanding of how the

WALL STREET BAILOUT PLAN

WORKED!!!!!

It doesn't get much clearer than this................

Clean up the economic mess without a $700 Billion bail out
Wouldn't it have been better to bring this up before they voted on it?

From the linked article:
a. Remove the capital gains tax completely. Investors will flood the real estate and stock market in search of tax-free profits, creating tremendous—and immediate—liquidity in the markets. Again, this costs the taxpayer nothing.
Why is it rich people with money to invest don't want to pay taxes on what they realize from those investments at even the same rates the guy sweating over a hot grill all day has to pay?

And how do you figure that giving rich people a freebie on their taxes, thus reducing the taxes collected by the government, will cost the taxpayer nothing? It will either increase debt because of lower revenues, which is what everybody is already screaming about, or taxes on something other than capital gains will have to be increased to offset the loss.

I'm getting a little tired of people whining that $212.5K left out of a $250K profit isn't "enough" to be worth their while.

But then how would they get their pudgy little fingers around some of that pork?

Not if you're simply using it as a sensational marketing ploy for your own agenda.

Am I the only one who thinks this link is dangeriously close to being spam?

Knight: I'm getting a little tired of people whining that $212.5K left out of a $250K profit isn't "enough" to be worth their while.

...Personally, I see no reason to give government a dime.

...I already pay property taxes, which include school taxes, fire, police and local road taxes. I already pay state and federal highway taxes with every gallon of fuel purchased and I already pay the state coffers with a 10% sales tax on purchases. As well, I already pay taxes on my phone, my cell and the Internet... and also on my vehicles when purchased and to license every year.

...Why should I pay income taxes to the Federal government again? For military, for defense? Ha! ... I served and everyone in my family has served, while all of these taxes are pissed away on people that never served, do not work and are afforded new homes, that most of the working class cannot afford. The old folks have paid into FICA for years and years, so that should be there for them now.

...Does the guy that makes a few million get any extra benefits from the government, than say the guy flipping the burgers does?

...No it is not a question of what percentage, as screw the Federal government, screw the freebie seekers, as they are not doing a damn thing with income taxes, but pissing it away and lining their own pockets. I already pay taxes on everything else.
