I tuned in late so the only part I saw was when they were discussing Iraq and Afghanistan, was wondering if they touched at all on the present economy, did anyone watch it in its entirety?

I thought it went pretty good. The times that Barry wasn't stuttering, he was saying..." I have to agree with John" ...LOL.

I lasted about half way through. I couldn't take anymore of Oh-bummer's BS. It looked like a draw on the economic issues but when it got into national security, Oh-bummer got his ass whipped.

I watched the entire debate. No surprises - but McCain's "strategy" was clear - actually quite transparent: keep repeating "Sen. Obama doesn't understand" - and perhaps someone will believe it...

McCain consistently tried to ride in on an old horse invoking Ronald Reagan, a misty-eyed misplaced sentimentality for old wars, and sad tales about lost lives and the parents who cannot bear to think these lives wasted. Since when did fighting a lost cause equal patriotism?

Obama was calm, but not complacent or passive, while McCain appeared emotional and rather shaky at times.

The majority of those polled in all the reports I saw felt he came out the winner, and I would agree.

I thought Obama had a good point about not wanting to give big businesses a tax cut, but McCain had a better point in giving them one. It will decrease the motivation for them to move their business overseas, creating jobs for Americans.
I also agreed with McCain when he said Iran should not have nuclear weapons. That would make other Middle Eastern countries to get them. I loved what he said about putting a freeze on so much government spending. Things like sending money to other nations, when they in turn give it to terrorist organizations. I hope that means charity no more money to countries that dont appreciate by using it for their benefit. We need to build the USA's economy back.

Pretty even on substance...

BIG style points to Obama...

If Johnny Mac was going to win one, this should have been it...at best he broke even...

Sorry Johnny, the surge is old news...folks are much more worried about the cost of gas...and if what $$ they have in the bank will still be there tomorrow...

Get used to it folks...like it or not, bamarama WILL be the next prez...

What appeared most notable to me was the difference in how each candidate spoke.
One by using profound hands on personal intelligence about foriegn affairs and the other with little.
No need to even say which one I'm speaking about because we all know who it was before tonights debate.

alivenwell351 ya being way to kind. McCant got bent over and slammed twice. From the first whistle Johnny Jr was sitting bricks. Fell to the old repat repeat cause i have been programed. Sit johnny, good boy. You are trained well. to bad that coupled with ya know the issues, one guy was mostly right, while the other spin and twist in lies. Ever ytime Johny McCant bush jr got it handed to him he had to retreat, re-step, and repeat.
Now watch the polls

The guy was told what to say and how to say it. Rule one open your mouth as little as possible.
Rule two, let your shoulders get angery. and remember rule one
Rule three, Look straight ahead, the boogey man isnt there if ya dont look, and remember rule one

I think most americans already know who the next president's gonna be. I think McCain had to win this by all cost, since foreign policy is his strong suit, but he didn't live up to his expectations. He was even shaky.

almost all the polls after the debate favored the so-called "inexperienced" guy

I liked how Barry was laughing a lot of the time. Guess he takes being a potential for President as seriously as he did being a Senator where having to go to Washington to deal with a crisis broke into his down time.

Never mind.. long and off-topic. Oops.. Somebody read it before I deleted it. I was talking about tax cuts not creating jobs, as the current administration has demonstrated.

I agree, Night. That is exactly what is needed, but there is no forseeable way to cause that to happen without the inflation.

Well, McCain figures that building 45 new nuclear reactors will take care of the jobless rate. Somehow I don't think that's gonna fly...NIMBY.
