Not so fast there six gun. That looks like another spin doctor moment to me. Read this:
While troops deployed abroad might be giving more money to Barack Obama, a poll released today says that John McCain will get the vast majority of votes from members of the military and veterans.
According to Gallup, McCain leads Obama 56 percent to 34 percent, with 11 percent expressing no opinion or picking someone else.

That was taken in the middle of August and is always subject to change. However it is very unlikely that it will ever be 6 to 1 considering the realities that surround Obama. Seeing as how he is right in the middle of those that purported this current economic nightmare it is hard to understand what anyone sees in him that is good.

from my personal experience most soldiers will tell you they are sick and tired of people using them to further their own political agendas .....
in other words speak for yourself not each of them ... they can and will speak for themselves each one individually .....

That seems to be the general gist of it nah, but sadly, a lot of ex-soldiers themselves are part of the problem. They use their veteran status to support their candidate or themselves, and claim that means all veterans and soldiers share their view.

Fact,
*Soldiers historically ( especially during war times) support the Republican part and nonmenies. There LIVES depend on it. Its not like just waking up and have a safe stroll to work every morning.
*6 to 1 are not supporting them this year, 2008. That's a lot of men and women say oh hell no! I do not seek, desire or want anymore of the same.
When ya find 5 service men and or women that support McCant and the Republican ticket, there will be 25 more standing behind Obama.

Your'e missing something from your source. It includes Vets. We all should and do respect the dirt time all Vets have spent, coming back from the dark scary to a comfy bed sets a man to a different light. With all respect, Vets seem to think that even after time is down and years on home state side they STILL, know better then those damn cherries, the gals and guys with their dicks still in it. And it is they, the ones that shower thinking did I almost have my last breath instead of damn that line at Kfc was long, that my source quoted. 6/1

I think the troops want to have the President sitting down to do shooters with the likes of Assad and the Taliban as he legitimizes them. All without pesky preconditions of course. Keeps them working.

Burns, your ignoring one important fact....the UN voted for the war and our U.S. troops were sent under Bush, not McCain. The troops will come home no matter who will be President.
