Well, I don't want to kill anybody, although I am for basic abortion early on.
Still, even I have a problem with late-term abortions, especially the "8th month tissue research variety".........that's just murder....

We never said that they were.
It's just myself and some other "old school" Democrats are upset with the current direction of the party.
I'm a bit of a liberal, but the new "Democratic Ideals" go into looney-land!

In your opening post most of those you are pointing out are extreme left viewpoints. Those points are in the minority. And for the time being will stay there. No one will be able to strike the second amendment. Abortion is here to stay. There should be a point where abortion can't go forth. My opinion after the first trimester no more abortion available.

I'm also an active Democrat and Richard is right.
These are the "new core goals" of the current Democratic leadership.
I saw a list of these things myself at a leadership meeting.
I was taken aback that these things were considered "the most important" of any of the party's goals.

I don’t believe you.
If you really were a dem, then you would know the party’s stance, and you wouldn’t have represented with such a ridiculous parity.
After what 8 years of republican conservative rule has done to this country, you liberal haters are in denial and living life with your eyes closed.
Someday your grandchildren will ask what you did in the early days of the new millennium, during very trying times and through much public manipulation by the government.
You conservatives can say you just went along with it all like sheep to the slaughter.

Quite right! And that is the group of people that have hijacked your party. Now they want the rest of us. I, for one, won't go without a fight. Most of what this group stands for and tries to push down everyone else's throat is just wrong.

And that sounds just like the rhetoric of the Russian revolutionaries and the German new worlders. Now that is just scary to know such people exist. Even scarier that they don't know what they are marching forward with.

Shield and Richard, I am being serious here, no more joking around, I congratulate you for questioning your party's ideals and doing some serious thinking over them. Regardless of whether or not it bothers you enough to change parties, you are at least thinking about matters that are important.
