nice try Katt... but you are in a minority here ( by your wanting it to stay the way it is )...if It wasn"t broken... there would not be a need to fix it...
( unless each problem ... can fix themselves...  )
I'll start with a few problems...
emergency room health care breaking the bank...
employers charging employees so much that they decide to op-out and become part of the uninsured masses...
employers hiring people as part timers or temps to circumvent having to provide health insurance ..like they should..
the ongoing problem of poor people not being able to afford insurance...
the cost of drugs being artificially raised here to increase the profits of drug companies

McCains plan would allow us to chose for ourselves what plan suits our needs - Barry's does not.
We should have the freedom to chose as each persons situation is unique.
It is also the American Way.

I agree that everyone should have the option to op out of their employers plan... and chose their own.. even to the point where you should get a tax deduction for the money spent.. and a tax penalty if for any reason you should have to rely on socialized medicine...for any reason.. ( I am including employers here...)
is it right that walmart manipulated the system.. hired low income parents with children who qualified for state paid healthcare plans ( for the good of the children...) ..and kept them at part time status so that walmart would not have to provide employer paid health care plans for these employees? ??
It was further complicated by the fact that these parents were complicit in the scam because the employer paid plan required a copay on all levels..where the state sponsored plans did not....

You asked what plan works for me. I fookin told you.
I am not concerned with WalMart employees. McCains plan will help them as they will get a tax credit.
All will be well.
Why would I pay attention to your point of view anyway? You have a hard time figuring out basic fundamentals of our economy and ridiculed me for investing in Gold.
You can have your opinion gh - I don't care what you think.

how does McCain's tax credit get funded... in effect...low income people are rebated tax money to cover the cost of their health plan...
just what does 5000 dollars currently buy in health insurance. ( for a family) . and is there any guarantee that the cost vs insurance provided will remain low enough for this figure to be viable ( for low income people) ??
