A Snipet from the New Yorker...October 20, 2008
“If you win, I’ll do anything you ask me to do,” Biden told Obama. Obama replied, “Be careful, because I may ask you a lot.” They had another conversation in February, and Obama continued to cajole him. “The only question I have is not whether I want you in this Administration,” Obama told Biden. “It’s which job you’d like best.”
During the primaries, which continued until June, Obama and Biden spoke about twice a week. “He’d call not so much to ask for advice as to bounce things off me,” Biden said as we sat in the tent. “And then when he asked me if I would consider being vetted”—possible Vice-Presidential candidates must submit to a personal and financial investigation by the campaign—“I said I’d have to think about it.”
Biden, who has served in the United States Senate for thirty-six years, wasn’t certain that the Vice-Presidency was an improvement over his current position. “I’ve got a job I think matters now, as chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee,” he said. “Presumptuous for me to say, but at least—at a minimum—I’ve been able to influence the direction of the Democratic Party on foreign policy. And I’ve been relatively—presumptuous to say—relatively successful legislatively in the Senate, being able to win a lot of Republican friends, and being able to cross the aisle. And so it wasn’t self-evident to me that being Vice-President would be a better job—you know what I mean?”
Biden agreed to let Obama’s campaign team consider him, but with a caveat: “I wanted to make sure we understood each other—that, even if I vetted and he wanted me to take the job, I wasn’t committing to do that. When the time was appropriate for him, if I was the guy, I needed to spend at least two or three hours with him to understand what the role would be.” Biden wanted what amounted to an oral contract between him and Obama, spelling out his specific responsibilities in an Obama White House.
On August 6th, Biden said, the Obama campaign “smuggled” him into Minneapolis, where Obama was campaigning, and the two senators stayed up late in a suite at the Graves 601 Hotel working out the details of a potential deal. Obama told Biden that the vetting had gone well—Biden assured me that it was “very complimentary.” http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2008/10/20/081020fa_fact_lizza?yrail
So President Obama gets to throw the Constitution out of the White House window!

"I can see Russia from my house"
quit throwing stones, you look like an idiot. if you don't understand what I just typed then I will reiterate it to you which means re tell it to you. Quit- meaning stop. Throwing - meaning to toss or sling something. Stones - metaphorically meaning hurtful, nasty, or slanderous things. The "you" is self explanatory. Look - means resembles. Like - meaning exactly as. An - article. Idiot - meaning fool, court jester, dumbass, moron, bigoted asshole, pompous, self righteous, etc.
Now, because most of your posts always seem belligerent (meaning warlike) i will let you know that i am not here to fight (meaning battle) with you. You cry that Joe was picked for his foreign policy experience. Truth, fact, everyone knows that so thanks for reiterating it. Have you ever stopped to think that this move was done for more reasons than JUST that? If you stop and think for a minute you will see that 3 out of the last 5 presidents of the US ONLY played in foreign politics and left the countries state to the Vice President. What is the President's job?
You push an agenda of assassination in the direction of Obama, then cajole Biden as being a babbling fool. Let's assassinate your beloved McCain, not say he dies from old age. Oh that is right, he is white, right? Let's assassinate him anyway and leave YOU with Palin. How long do you think she will live vs. Biden? I keep forgetting, Joe is a white guy, of course he won't be shot. Is the rules different for Sarah though?
You can push the McCain agenda all you want because there never will be a black representative for that party, but do you really think that someone more inexperienced in world affairs than yourself can run this country? Never thought of that huh? You know more about running the US than Sarah Palin does.....

Heres the problem with Biden.... is someone puts up a mirror while he is speaking that faces him and he catches his reflection... he may go on and on for hours until someone throws a blanket over him

Well it isn't discrimination if I ask the same question, and the thought of Palin running this country (ever) terrifies me. I do wish Joe had picked someone else. That would have made my choice easy next week. As it is now, I have no clue, still.. sheesh..
Sorry, meant John.. as in McCain. my bad.
