how could McCain lose Ohio and expects to win this thing. I don't see that happening  . no rep has won the white house without first winning Ohio. again, I feel so bad for McCain

I dont get where your coming from.
There is still a chance McCain can win but slight... it looks like Obama won but not by the landslide popularity most predicted.
Dont feel bad for Mccain, he has served this country in public service over 50 years... even ran for president.. when he dies he will die a happy man... he lived his dreams out. he has had a full and productive carrer and has a good life, a better one than most of us can ever hope to have or will.

if thats the case, why didn't you vote for him then, given the fact that every pres. candidate has always implemented his policies and philosophy when he gets to the oval office

I did not vote for him because I do not believe he will do what he says based on his record and experience.
I am still not sure he will come through or if it was just a matter of making emoty promises to WIN.
Now that he has won.................. will he do what he says?
will he?
or are we all going to be worse off because it was nothing but talk by an empty suit?
lets hope for the best and prepare for the worse... thats what I say about it.
ps, when can I expect my check? I'm middle class with an income just below 100K a year. I should get a check, no?

how do you figure I dont deserve a check ? a rebate? you know I am in the 38% tax bracket if you want to count my investment dividends and interest on top of my weekly paycheck ( yes I am paid weekly, not on salary)...
Money I am going to pull out of the brokerage and put in my safe deposit box... since cap gains taxes are going to increase.
I'll be ok I'm telling you and can ride this out.... but I would like my check as I am a middle income taxpayer and barry said I'd get one :)

and if checks are sent out.. I'll be one of the first to get one, thank God I'll have it before the money runs out... since the dems will have a blank check for awhile

BTW, its not tax cuts he's for... your going to have MORE TAXES. lots more... will cut right into any beer money, trust me on that

As has been mentioned on CBS, the West Coast is 77 electoral votes (California, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington). Those numbers haven't been reported yet, but who thinks that McCain is going those four states - - or ANY of them?
