If we want to have any hope for the future of this country, we need to start working on this and get it organized.

Maybe we can start with a brainstorming session. I'll take the first crack.

How about introducing a bill to revise the voting laws.

In order to vote you have to be over 25, and have an IQ of at least 70.

This would guarantee we'd never make this same terrible mistake again.

I'll settle for a reasonable individual who has the entire nations best interests at heart in a long term plan to bring prosperity to us all, no party please.

I'll vote for someone besides Obama in 2012.. if I think he/she's a better candidate. That's all you gotta do.

However, unless we change the Electoral College system between now and then, no matter who I vote for, Kansas will most likely still be a red state anyway.

And yet, the Republicans lost to him, and had huge losses in both houses of Congress.

What a bunch of losers. Whiny ones, too.

Wow...so young and you can see the crap that just took place..

I would say that you posess alot more brain power than alot on these sites...

Even though you are still a young man...I am amazed how you actually know how to see things...and think about things...and come up with the conclusion...the conclusion that something stinks in the new marxist gov...And that we now have a president that lies out his B%38 with out blinking an eye..

Impressive...

Obama is trying to redistribute our hard earned money and give it to who he pleases...That used to be called robbery...

I agree with your plan....it makes a whole lot of sense to me.

This last election was a stellar model of how to cheat to win an election..brilliant!!!

And the icing on the cake was when the financial crisis came ripe to blow...the crisis that the democrats are responsible for by the way...it blew RIGHT AT ELECTION TIME!!! Brilliant!!! Outstanding!!!!

These people are better than any mafia...jessie james....crip or blood gang that I have ever seen as far as doing what it takes to get power, status, and money...amazing.

Getting the homeless to vote? WTF??? I couldnt believe this...they dont even participate in our society..yet they get to vote where our money will go? Then get this!!!! Acorn shipped these same homeless to vote yet a second time in another state..Which is possible due to the fact that their address was "Park Bench #5" Amazing..

This just goes to show you the corruption in the democrat party and that they will do anything to get into power...even cheat like lying dogs..

IQ of at least 70....cool....that means the conservatives will win every election from now on!!! LOL

You are awesome Rain...I hope you run for president..if you do..I will vote for you..after all..Obama has about as much experience as you do..yet I like your plan much better!!!

As usual, someone should have done some fact-checking before blurting out an uninformed opinion.
Obama approval ratings increase

People even currently have a much more favorable opinion of Congress than they did before. Congressional approval ratings up

So, we see that those who think Obama is "a joke" are apparently not only in a minority, but still guilty of the conservative fault of not listening to the voters. Funny.. but the numbers of people who approve of Obama's job performance are almost inversely proportional to those who approved of shrub's performance. Think that means somethings?

Edited to add: An interesting note regardig Obama's drop in approval ratings:
The speech certainly came at an opportune time for Obama, but a recovery was easily achievable because the decline in his approval rating was accompanied by an increase in the percentage of Americans expressing no opinion, rather than an increase in the proportion disapproving of his performance in office.

Oh goodness, NightOwl. PLEASE don't bring up polls. There are STILL some neo-con posters on these boards, convinced that the election polling was wrong and that McCain will still win. ("Oh, don't believe that poll, look at this one." "Okay. That one shows McCain losing, too." "How about this one?" "Nope, he's losing there, too." "You have to interpret the results. The margin of error!" "Sorry, but Obama's lead is outside the margin of error." "You're wrong! Waaaaaah!!!!")

I don't want to go through that painful experience again...

"Just Words.....Just Speechs" just another Obomb-us lie...
[quote] $3,000 tax credit not in stimulus bill, no future action seen
Updated: Tuesday, February 17th, 2009 | By Angie Drobnic Holan

President Obama first proposed a $3,000 tax credit for businesses that add to their payroll when he was campaigning for president and the U.S. economy had taken a serious nosedive. After winning the election and taking office, he began working on a stimulus bill with Congress. But this idea soon stalled and appears to be dead.

It never got any significant support in Congress, even from Democrats. Lawmakers said they were concerned the credit wasn't enough of an incentive to get companies to hire additional workers. Tax policy analysts said the credit would be an administrative nightmare to implement. Companies might eliminate a job and then create it again later in hopes of getting the tax credit.

Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., said at a news conference on Jan. 14, 2009, that both Democrats and Republicans had problems with the measure.

"If you have a company and you're selling fewer shingles, $3,000 isn't going to get you to hire somebody when your sales are shrinking," Schumer said.

The credit was never part of the stimulus legislation as far as we saw, and it was not included in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, which Obama signed into law on Feb. 17, 2009. Likewise, we see no indication that this idea might re-emerge. So for now, we rate it Promise Broken.

Congress balks at $3,000 tax credit per worker
Updated: Sunday, January 18th, 2009 | By Angie Drobnic Holan

During the final stages of the campaign, Barack Obama proposed a number of economic measures intended to jump-start a sputtering economy. Among those was a tax credit for businesses to hire new workers; Obama proposed a $3,000 credit for every worker hired.

"We've already lost three-quarters of a million jobs this year, and some experts say that unemployment may rise to 8 percent by the end of next year," Obama said at a rally in Toledo, Ohio, on Oct. 13, 2008. "We can't wait until then to start creating new jobs. That's why I'm proposing to give our businesses a new American jobs tax credit for each new employee they hire here in the United States over the next two years."

But Congress didn't like the idea when it came time to write a stimulus bill in January 2009.

"If you have a company and you're selling fewer shingles, $3,000 isn't going to get you to hire somebody when your sales are shrinking," said Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., at a news conference on Jan. 14, 2009.

"So the basic view was, we need to do things to stimulate jobs on the tax cut side and on the business side, but that probably is not the best way to go. You don't get the most bang for the buck," he said, adding that the opposition was in the House and the Senate from both Democrats and Republicans.

When the House Appropriations Committee released its plans for the stimulus bill a few days later on Jan. 16, the measure was not included. So we rate this promise Stalled. (If nothing changes before passage of the final bill, we expect we'll be moving this to Promise Broken.)

????
"I'm going to propose it..." Which he did. Congress decided it was unworkable. His proposal wasn't adopted. Was there a point to that?

ONE MONTH IN, BARACK OBAMA'S APPROVAL SLIPS, DISAPPROVAL DOUBLES..L.A. Times February 24,2009 ( Andrew Malcom )

[quote] Posted on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 5:44:37 AM by Scanian

One month down, 47 to go.

And Barack Obama's poll numbers have slid almost 10% already. According to the latest Gallup Poll, the new president's approval rating of 68% in January has slipped now to 63%, about average for recent new presidents one month in.

What isn't average, however, is Obama's new disapproval rating -- 24%, or 50% higher than the 16% average for a month-old new presidency.

And it's twice the 12% disapproval rate that Obama had last month.

While liberal and independent support has held fairly steady, the rookie chief executive's approval among Republicans has plunged from 41% to 30%, presumably tied at least somewhat to growing awareness of the spending program. The drop has been especially steep among conservatives, from 36% at inauguration to 22% now.

Additionally, Obama's support has weakened among middle-class Americans, those touted during the campaign as benefiting from his promised tax cuts. Among that working crowd Obama's approval fell from 69% to 58%

(Excerpt) Read more at latimesblogs.latimes.com ...

looks like many are already sick and tired of this clown... and the disapproval numbers are falling?? how long has he been in office now? oh that's right just over a month...
