It has taken President Obama long enough to get this out and I am glad he is visiting it as we speak! The War On Terror we began under "Dumbya" the first Bush was detoured to another war for oil, vengeance and money!
Now, our new President is putting the touches on not defeating the Taliban and Al Queda but "destroying" them in their own lair! Afghanistan and parts of Pakistan will be the battleground!
It is not imperative to invade Pakistan but, it is very important to Pakistan to mobilize their military for joint search and destroy operations for these murderers! Pakistan will do this or face the might of the United States military.....in no uncertain terms! In other words, folks, we are going in after these people!
We want full destruction of their, Taliban and Al Queda, ability to wage anything but a Bar-B-Que! They have now said they are going to attack us again....it is time to move troops from Iraq to the War Zone. President Obama is doing so!
I suggest all Americans to back and support these moves by our President. They were supposed to have been done many years ago under an inept President that could not read or say Nuclear! But, he wanted to be rich make his friends richer and kill our soldiers for nothing! For that Bush should be charged with "War Crimes" and "Crimes Against Humanity"! Yes, folks, I still believe Dumbya is a war criminal!

it is time to move troops from Iraq to the War Zone. President Obama is doing so! No he isn't! He is not redeploying troops from Iraq to Afghanistan. The 4,000 troops that will be deployed are from the 5th Stryker Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division out of Fort Lewis, Washington.
Pursuant to President Obama’s decision today, Secretary Gates ordered the deployment of two additional combat units, totaling more than 12,000 troops, to Afghanistan. The 2d Marine Expeditionary Brigade (MEB), from Camp Lejeune, N.C., with approximately 8,000 Marines will deploy to Afghanistan in late Spring 2009.
The 5th Stryker Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division from Ft. Lewis, Wash., will deploy approximately 4,000 soldiers to Afghanistan in mid-summer 2009. This Stryker Brigade and the MEB will deploy to increase the capabilities of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF).
Approximately 5,000 additional troops to support these combat forces will receive deployment orders at a later date. http://www.marine-corps-news.com/2009/02/dod_announces_afghanistan_forc.htm

Iraq war was a war for oil? Can you explain this? Can you? Where is the oil? We didn't get any out of it so your explanation is pure paranoia that can't be substantiated.

Now, our new President is putting the touches on not defeating the Taliban and Al Queda but "destroying" them in their own lair! Afghanistan and parts of Pakistan will be the battleground! The International Conference on Afghanistan will be held on March 31st and April 1st. in the Netherlands at the Hague. Secretary Clinton, Dutch Foreign Minister Maxime Verhagen, and Richard Holbrooke by invitation will be attending, and presenting the U.S. afghanistan policy for the comprehensive strategic achievements for Afghanistan's current terrorist fights in the realm of their security as well as their upcoming Presidential election in August and their Parliamentary elections in 2010.
There will be as many deligates from 80 countries at this Conference on Afghanistan to present their policies, this includes Iran and Pakistan as well.
The white house is doing the exact same thing as the white house was doing when Iraq was also in this same situation of fighting al-Queda and up for re-elections when Sudam fell.
In Afghanistan, the Bush administration pleaded for years with NATO allies to provide more troops for combat and for training Afghan forces. The increases it got were modest, leaving an unmet need that U.S. commanders have cited in explaining why the Taliban has remained resilient and Afghan forces have developed slowly.
And as Obama has recently stated for he is appealing NATO...
NATO to accept "a shared responsibility to act." And he said he would take that message to Europe next week for meetings with NATO and European Union leaders.
...for Obama was speaking of Europe
A fundamental disconnect between Washington and its European allies has been the nature of the extremist threat and the role of military force in addressing it.
The Europeans have been reluctant to accept the U.S. view — held in common by Obama and Bush — that al-Qaida is a threat to the existence of democratic societies. And the Europeans see political, economic and humanitarian aid as more important than military intervention in achieving stability in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
That is why Afghanistan has increasingly become an American war — and why Obama sees a need to change that. "This is not simply an American problem; far from it," he said. "It is, instead, an international security challenge of the highest order."

I suggest all Americans to back and support these moves by our President. They were supposed to have been done many years ago under an inept President that could not read or say Nuclear! Absolutely wrong! The Nuclear Disarmament Treaties go back many decades. The U.S. is still disarming nuclear missles to this day and have been focusing on Nuclear energy in our economy, which is now going to continue the expansion in the future by the Obama administration.
But, he wanted to be rich make his friends richer and kill our soldiers for nothing! For that Bush should be charged with "War Crimes" and "Crimes Against Humanity"! Bush has always been well off financially; he was born in a rich family. I have nothing against anyone that is well off if gains are done legally. Investing money is gains, and so as his so called rich friends also invest for gains. Nothing wrong with having a large bank account or investments.
Soldiers get killed in every war...The UN chartered the Iraq war and Congress (democrats and republicans), supported it with taxpayer dollars...LOL. War is not just one provision, but of many provisions. People do get killed and that is the downfall of all wars. If this was not so, every U.S. president that existed in times of war, (that includes Obama), should be charged with "war crimes" and "crimes against humanity." And Obamamessiah would be classified as a war criminal.

Pakistan will do this or face the might of the United States military.....in no uncertain terms! I'm not saying this is happening or that is happening, just posing a Question....
Doesn't it bother anyone that Pakistan is in possession of a Nuclear arsenal?
The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) estimates that Pakistan has built 24-48 HEU-based nuclear warheads, and Carnegie reports that they have produced 585-800 kg of HEU, enough for 30-55 weapons. Pakistan's nuclear warheads are based on an implosion design that uses a solid core of highly enriched uranium and requires an estimated 15-20 kg of material per warhead. According to Carnegie, Pakistan has also produced a small but unknown quantity of weapons grade plutonium, which is sufficient for an estimated 3-5 nuclear weapons.
Pakistan does not abide by a no-first-use doctrine, as evidenced by President Pervez Musharraf's statements in May, 2002. Musharraf said that Pakistan did not want a conflict with India but that if it came to war between the nuclear-armed rivals, he would "respond with full might." Source...

Thank You for answering your own question!
******************************
Brass_Wolf and sealacamp.....kinda the same question so I will use the quote from "Brass_Wolf...."Iraq war was a war for oil? Can you explain this?"...!
During the reign of the Iraqi Provisional Authority, hope I got that name correctly, there was millions of barrels of oil that just disappeared. Never found and said never shipped. Yet, it went somewhere. It was pumped to the sea for shipment....yet never shipped! And low and behold there is no records of this oil....at all!
I know you want links but, after putting them out so many times before I am not going to this time as everyone knows what I am saying is true. If you don't know it means you either did not read about it or you just want to start an argument...either way you search and find out for yourself! The facts are there!
There is a record of 2 trailer trucks dumping whole pallets of U.S. Currency in downtown Baghdad and the contractors scooping it up and loading bundles of money into their trucks though!
***************************
Uh, who cares about Pakistan's Nukes when we have a force ready to neutralize it in a matter of a few minutes!
**********************
angel154214....I could care less about your opinion on anything! As you have shown you have problems with reality!

When will Americans wake up and realize that the republicans are the leaders in killing off our young in this day and time! Please inform us all of when exactly Obama became a Republican. Reality tells us he isnt.

Jankia you are a plagiarizer....just a fact pure and simple! Anytime you take a quote and change the wording you have destroyed the other posters meaning and changed it to yours! That is what you meant to do and you did it! Typical of a god fearing man whom is only being spiteful! Because he has not the intelligence to carry on a good debate without showing his hatred for the other poster! So he changes words in the other posters post to discredit him in some way or manner....instead you just made yourself look a little more smaller in the eyes of intelligent people!
From small minds come small thoughts, Jankia!

...Let's see, Obama is going to triple the funding to Pakistan, which through their S Wing, then funds our enemies, the actual Taliban and guerrilla forces we are fighting against... in both Afghanistan and the Federally Administered Tribal Areas in Pakistan... and he is going to defeat the Taliban?
========
Lefty: Now, our new President is putting the touches on not defeating the Taliban and Al Queda but "destroying" them in their own lair! Afghanistan and parts of Pakistan will be the battleground! ...We have been in Pakistan for a long time... nothing new, unless we go east... all the way to the Indian border and clean out all nuclear weapons and anything else in the way for the next 50 years or so.
...Our new President has siht for brains, or he is a traitor, or he needs a perpetual war to boost our economy... the latter I can believe, as so far, the Stimulus Bill was Roosevelt's prior New Deal; his study of removing benefits from Veteran's, was Roosevelt's actual happening; the removal of the Gold Standard is now the rumbling of removing the dollar as a world currency, increased Federal Reserve control, which is not even a US citizen owned entity, was created by Roosevelt, and what is left? ... gear up for a perpetual war, which if Obama controls the funding for the enemy, also controls how long or short this war will last.
======== ========
Lefty: We want full destruction of their, Taliban and Al Queda, ability to wage anything but a Bar-B-Que! They have now said they are going to attack us again....it is time to move troops from Iraq to the War Zone. President Obama is doing so! ...What "we" want and what is actually reality, is two different entities altogether. For one (or two or three), it is not just the Taliban and Al Queda, as a few million have no affiliation, but simply following Mohammad's indoctrination, in that it is their duty, their responsibility to kill the infidels that occupy their soil.
...No offense intended, but the Liberal, the agnostic, the atheist, the non-believer cannot possibly understand the conviction of our enemy. Even the Christian cannot wrap their mind around this radical Muslim ideology, because all they read is the Koran, the writings from the first 10 years of Muhammad and not the writings from the his last 10 years, the War years... Life has no value, whereas martyrdom is everything.
======== ========
Lefty: It is not imperative to invade Pakistan but, it is very important to Pakistan to mobilize their military for joint search and destroy operations for these murderers! Pakistan will do this or face the might of the United States military.....in no uncertain terms! In other words, folks, we are going in after these people! ... ... sorry, but the Pakistan military is loyal to their people, not what the West wants, not what their puppet government wants. Read above and my last post in Obama's Afghanistan War and understand well, Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence agency provides funding and operations intelligence to our enemy. In fact, with US funding, they helped to create the Taliban and directed operations against Russia.
========
...Russia lost a 100,000 in Afghanistan over 10 years and the endeavor broke their back financially, which helped lead to the fall of the USSR. Be careful what you wish for, as already beyond bankrupt, Obama also has his eye on Africa next.
...In conclusion, I don't have a problem with war "to win" for various personal reasons... but should we "win" on purpose, which does not include funding our enemies as we are now doing, as soon as we leave, it will go right back to the way it has been for two thousand years. Are we prepared to financially and with human life, to continue policing the world?
========
...And yes, Afghanistan and Pakistan are important for the piping of oil and natural gas... not the only way, but the easiest way to a billion or so energy starved Indians, who would be happy to help us out from the east and we could meet in the middle someplace.

SG....You and I can talk on a level that we both understand. You know and I that we lost Korea and Vietnam because of political reasons. We have put Afghanistan off for political and other reasons.....nuf'said on that subject!
This war against terrorism we can't lose. We must destroy these people so as to send a message to the rest we will come and get you regardless. Our military must be turned loose in Afghanistan to do the job they are trained to do....destroy, defeat and kill our countries enemies! Our enemies are there and we need to root them out foot by foot, hill by hill, mountain by mountain until there is not one foot of land left for one of those killers to hide on!
Politics aside...we have a job to do...if we don't they will be back and the next time what will they do? Blow up a nuclear power plant...or what!
I know you understand what I am meaning. This is a war just like WW II....and we must destroy these people! They have given us no choice!

we hit them..they try to hit us....
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/asia/article6011879.eceBaitullah Mehsud, the leader of the Pakistani Taleban, threatened yesterday to launch an attack on Washington that would “amaze everyone in the world” as he claimed responsibility for the raid on a police academy in Lahore and boasted of a new regional militant alliance. Mr Mehsud, for whom the United States offered a $5 million reward last week, said that Monday's raid, which killed seven police officers, was retaliation for US drone attacks on Pakistan's northern tribal areas, now the main hub of Taleban and al-Qaeda activity. The 35-year-old leader of Tehrik-e-Taleban Pakistan (Movement of Taleban Pakistan), made the claims after taking the highly unusual step of telephoning Western news organisations from an undisclosed location. “We wholeheartedly take responsibility for this attack and will carry out more such attacks in future,” he said. “Soon we will launch an attack in Washington that will amaze everyone in the world ... The maximum they can do is martyr me. But we will exact our revenge on them from inside America.” Mr Mehsud's threat illustrates his growing confidence in the Pakistani Taleban's strength and reach. He recently agreed to shelve differences with fellow commanders and join forces with the Afghan Taleban. The alliance appears to be a deliberate response to President Obama's “Afpak” strategy, unveiled on Friday, to send 21,000 more troops to Afghanistan, pour $7.5 billion into Pakistan, and to treat the two countries as a single military theatre. Mr Mehsud's power also appears to have been enhanced after the Pakistani Government reached a controversial peace deal with the Taleban in the northwestern Swat Valley, which borders the tribal areas. He has been blamed for several attacks in Pakistan, including the assassination of Benazir Bhutto in December 2007, but most have been in the north west, and Monday's was thought to be his first on the eastern province of Punjab. The US Rewards for Justice website describes him as a “key al-Qaeda facilitator” who has conducted cross-border attacks against American forces in Afghanistan and poses a clear threat to American people and interests in the region. The militant leader boasted that he had recently set up a “Council of Mujahidin” uniting different groups “to step up attacks on US and Nato forces in Afghanistan”. That tallies with other reports that the Afghan and Pakistani Taleban have joined forces, and are also working with outlawed Pakistani militant groups with links to Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agency. The Pakistani Taleban is led by Mr Mehsud and two rival commanders - Hafiz Gul Bahadur and Maulavi Nazir - who are all based in the tribal regions of North and South Waziristan and have long feuded with each other. Mullah Omar, the Afghan Taleban leader, is reported to have sent a six-member team to Waziristan in late December and early January to forge a new alliance with the three men against the planned increase of American forces in Afghanistan. The Pakistani Taleban leaders agreed, and in February they formed the Council of Mujahidin and issued a printed statement vowing to resolve their differences and focus on fighting US-led forces in Afghanistan. However, they also appear to have enlisted elements of Pakistani militant groups such as Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), blamed for the attack on Mumbai last year, and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, blamed for last month's attack on the Sri Lanka cricket team in Lahore. They, along with elements of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), another banned militant group, give the alliance a presence in Punjab, which may explain the two recent attacks there, security officials and analysts say. “Many former fighters of LeT and JeM, and from southern Punjab, have been fighting with the Pakistani Taleban,” one Pakistani security official told The Times. Most experts agree that the militant alliance is fragile, especially since Mullah Omar wants to focus on Afghanistan, while Mr Mehsud and others have ambitions in Pakistan, but it still represents a major challenge to Mr Obama's new strategy. Michael Semple, an Irish expert on the region who was the former deputy head of the European Union mission in Kabul, predicts that some militants can be split from the group's core if governance and security are improved. “It can be done, and we do have a few demonstrated examples that prove that it is possible,” he said. “But a lot of things are going to have to be done right if it is going to deliver enough people to be able to make a difference to the conflict.”
