President Obama recently e-mailed followers to attend local town halls, and his deputy chief of staff promised to "punch back twice as hard" in the health care debate. Neither of them probably expected their backers to "get in the faces" of their opponents quite this much. Or to punch anyone -- not literally, anyway.

Polls suggest Obama is at 50% approval rating, the same rating Bush had the same time in office.
Reports suggest more and more Republicans, Independents and Democrats joining the movement.

Five arrests and what appears to be battered 'union representives' who did not like the 'Don't Tread On Me' flag.

By the way, the flag in dispute is known as the Gadsten Flag.

Interesting.
Obama, the guy who asked his leftist followers to "argue aggressively with them and get up in their faces" during his campaign, is the same guy who is telling anyone who opposes his plans to shut up and sit down.
Where does this arrogant asshole get off telling the American people their voices shouldn't be heard and trying to intimidate them into keeping quiet.
This is a sham, it's an oppressive tactic designed to silence and intimidate citizens' free speech and political opposition by our own president, and people should meet this threat to their fundamental right to express themselves with a very vigorous and aggressive defense.
As one man put it, Obama took 6 months to decide what kind of dog he should get, yet he wanted to jam a health care plan that accounts for 1/6 of the US economy through in 3 weeks.
Obama's behavior and tactics are unacceptable to anyone who believes in liberty.
You're damn right people are mad.

There are always people who go too far when they get angry. Violence is too far.
But just because some people are going too far doesn't mean you dismiss the legitimate case that the millions of others have.
These threats could just as well have come from the left to discredit those who are opposing the Obamacrats.
Why not, they are using every other kind of intimidating tactic to silence law abiding citizens who are only demanding to be heard. And the left is no stranger to violent protest.

"Rep. Kathy Castor (D-FL), whose town hall event last night was disrupted by demonstrators organized through Glenn Beck's 912 Project, will be holding another discussion with her constituents on August 13 -- only this time, it will be a telephone town hall, the Tampa Bay Tribune reports.
At her meeting last night, Castor left after only 15 minutes, because she was unable to get a word in edgewise over the shouts of "Tyranny," "You work for us," and other such objections. Fights broke out, though nobody was arrested.
Castor told the paper that she will hold the meeting in this alternative format because she'll be able to reach more people."

Baird, who has held more than 300 town hall meetings since being elected 11 years ago, has not scheduled any in-person town hall meetings during this summer’s congressional recess, in part because of protests over health care reform that have disrupted town hall meetings by members of Congress across the nation.
The congressman said Friday his office in Washington, D.C., had received a fax with a picture of President Barack Obama wearing makeup like the kind actor Heath Ledger wore while playing the Joker in the movie "The Dark Knight." A drawing of the hammer and sickle was drawn on Obama's forehead with the message "Death to All Marxists! Foreign and Domestic!"

Truth to what? That Obama said that? Absolutely, I heard the sound clip of him saying it today.
As to the second part of what he said, if you heard the REAL news today you heard him say "We don't want to hear anything from the 'people who got us into this.' They should just keep quiet." He is talking about AMERICAN CITIZENS.

But either way, here we go again. I don't need to hear it, I already heard it. I don't need to know it is correct, I already know it is.

The left thinks they are the only ones who are allowed to be angry. Only they are allowed to show their rage and angry opposition.
Now they are shocked to see that they don't have a monopoly on that right. The anger is growing from the middle to the right and everywhere in between.
Those on the far left are going to lose. They are vastly outnumbered and most Americans are fed up with their garbage. And Obama has solidly positioned himself on that far left.
