...That is some scary siht... force by penalty, health care upon the population and then tax it as a benefit, with several "to be announced" what in the hell this tax is even going to be, while a minimum 40% excise tax for over $8,000 of coverage at the insurer level and non-deductible, with a cost of living to be factored in.
...Well great, as that indicates that every present government worker will be taxed as a benefit (to be announced), while over $4,000 each year will have at least an excise tax of 40% going to the Federal coffers.
...And then, impose taxes and fees on branded drugs, medical equipment and insurance providers, that will raise the cost of health care even more.
...I hope the congressional idiots read this one, rather than rubber stamp it like they did for the Financial bailout and the Stimulus bill, as this is the biggest crock of government BS I have ever heard of, besides there is an energy shortage.

They can pass all the bills they want.
They're not relevent or credible anymore.
I'm not getting their Health care..and I'm not paying a fine for not having health care..and I'm not taking their flu shot..and they're beginning to bore me with their constant chatter..and I don't care what they have to say anymore.
They're like a barking dog.
Soon you just learn to ignore it and it becomes no more than an irritation.

...My version is not twisted, not a version, but simply reading the facts as presented; try it.
...Health care costs are not going down, but because of government, dramatically up across the board, while quality is going down. Reminds me of our public education system.
...Private health is going to be taxed so heavily, that there will be little private health and when the taxpayer realizes they are going to "be announce" taxed for the amount of forced benefits, as well as a 40% excise tax on the health insurance companies and domestic pharmaceuticals will be guaranteed no foreign competition, this health care plan will last about as long as it takes to start changing the guard in 2010.
...One question and who is going to pay for it? Do remember, unemployment is dramatically rising, while collected taxes are dramatically dropping.
...I like my idea better, where the US taxpayer is providing health care of all of Iraq and Afghanistan, some 50 million people and if we just come home, there is the money for our 9 or 50 million uninsured.

Why is it always the ultra-conservatives who freak out over the moderators? The moderators are even-handed (just look at the strained tolerance and pointed remarks that iam01 gets over in the R&S forum...). That doesn't mean they delete posts and ban users at the bidding of the ultra-conservatives, which is how the ultra-conservatives define "fair and balanced."
If the ultra-conservatives don't like the moderation here, there's plenty of websites that would be glad to have the opinions expressed there, and won't even require facts or a firm grasp of reality...

I get slapped down as often as pretty much anyone. The difference is, I don't whine about it. I recognize that the forums belong to MATCHDOCTOR. Not to me, not to you, not to Uncle Bob. The left-wingers don't seem to have as much feeling of entitlement that the right-wingers always accuse them of. That seems to be a failing of right-wingers, they believe that their presence on these boards means the staff of MatchDoctor has to kowtow to their every whim.
Which has been the reason for the temper tantrums that have resulted in several of the conservatives either leaving the boards permanently, or being kicked off. They ignore the liberals getting slapped down, and only see the conservatives getting slapped down. They shriek at every abuse of the liberals, but think that the moderators are too stupid to notice all the abuses of the conservatives. They play legalistic games, trying to split hairs, try to skirt the text of the rules, while boldly violating the spirit of the rules. They think that the moderators should be straight-jacketed by the rules, when the owners and bosses have supported every interpretation the moderators have made in the enforcement of the rules.
For people who claim to not want interference in business matters, outside of the old standby of the public's willingness to take your business elsewhere, conservatives certainly do seem to demand that businesses submit to outside interference quite a bit...

after skimming through some of the amendments.. seems to me that they are stretching out the implementation to 2014.....( read: making it a more gradual change so that the insurance companies will have time to react..and yes,,there is a public option left in....
