Putting aside the innocent mothers and children side of things! Do you think its time to wipe out the threat to ‘our’ civilisation, before ‘they’ wipe us out?
With the exception of India and Pakistan, who seem content with putting the breeze up etch other, the rest of ‘them’ seem hell bent on developing nukes to threaten us!
So can we use the old adage of survival of the fittest, and get them now, because at this moment in time we are top dog.
Or must we wait for the inevitable shift of power if ‘we’ do nothing? Then they will get us?

Honestly....there's going to be terrorism, everywhere, no matter what. Dropping an atomic bomb won't help.
America shouldn't do anything we don't want our enemies to do. We're supposed to be better than 'them'.

Considering the fact that the idiot running Iran makes no bones about the fact that he wants a nuke to exterminate the Israelis (and palestinians by proximity). He knows there would be massive retaliation that would kill most if not all of the Iranian people. He's playing jihad on a grand new scale.

I think Iran only wants a nuclear threat to counter balance Israels (similar to India/Pakistan). The talk is just that....I doubt they'd ever actually use it on Israel.

That's a tad naive.
I dread the thought of nuclear war anywhere, but I understand the need for a deterrent.
However, Iran and its society are not of that ilk. They are, literally, on a mission from God(Allah) to destroy the "filth and stench of the Hebrews".
No other nation would use a nuclear weapon lightly, since they fear the repercussions. Iran has no such reservations.
When, they get "the bomb", they will use it and not worry about it one bit.

Let me add a caveat to my post.
I'm not for nuking anyone, except as a VERY last resort.
Still, the UN and the rest of the world, MUST do something with Iran. If not, they will destroy Israel is possible and then hold the rest of the world hostage.
It's their dream and their religious desire.

Suicide bombers come from suicide countries.
I can understand Irans desire to match India and Pakistans nuclear capability and Iraqs intent to.
But Iran has come out front and told the world who they want to nuke and the first strike will be in Israel.
They know what the repercussions from Israels allies will be.
Doesnt matter to a suicide country.
If my country launches the first strike in an offensive manner to prevent that country from doing the same.
That will be the end of America.

has anyone ever heard of nuclear winter, electromagnetic pulse, or any of the billion other things wrong with using a nuclear weapon in war? there is a reason why it has not happened since nagasaki and hiroshima.

I have to agree..the notion that they want to, or are willing to, kill themselves and are ASKING for it just doesn't make sense. In fact, I think a lot of Iranians (both ordinary individuals and Iranian officials) are concerned at the outbursts of their new President and at the removal of certain freedoms gained under previous regimes. Its a pity this new guy got into power, as Iran had been making moves towards a more open society.
And as for spreading the word of god - this is a political issue and has nothing really to do with religion.
