i think john mccain will run...i dunno if he'll get the nomination. probably not.
bill frist will run. unlikely he'll get the nomination. only news junkies and political buffs know who he is.
joe biden has already said he's running, but there's no way he's getting the nomination.
probably john kerry again.

John Kerry won't run...
the only candidate to run a second time, after losing a presidential race that I can recall in my life was Nixon...
if you watch McCain, he is making a move to the hard right, speaking engagements at Jerry Falwell events etc...
Mrs. Clinton, shouldn't run, because as strong as her support is, she galvanizes the right, and could actually win it for the right...
I think both parties are in trouble, but neither has any focus yet...
Norm Coleman, Republican Senator from Minnesota, Campaign chairman for Bush in Minnesota is considered a front runner for President... but he is too moderate... he started out as a democrat, recruited to Minnesota by Hubert Humphrey... switched parties during Clinton Admin...
Mit Romney of Mass. is another republican option...

Mitt Romney is an option but he'd have to work harder than say, McCain, to let the American people know who he is and what he stands for....and that could work against him.
I really think Hillary will get the nomination for the Democratic party, the other Democrats that have come out as potential candidates are weak.

It's going to be McCain for republicans.
For democrats, it will be Hillary, IF the DLC has its way. However, there is a stronger and stronger grass roots effort taking place in this country and they are NOT leaning to Hillary. They want a Progressive democrat. One that represents the people instead of the corporations.
We will have to wait and see if the powers that be win out again. If they do it will be McCain and Hillary.
As to who it SHOULD be, Dennis Kucinich or Russ Feingold for the democrats. For the republicans, it should be a true republican, instead of the corporate hacks, but find me one if you can. McCain is a fence rider that goes with the way the wind is blowing. I used to like him, but have found him to be 2 faced. Can't stand him anymore.

In my opinion President Bush can only do one thing for the Republican party to even have a chance in the next election.Obviously right now the biggest item on who will win the next election is when and who will pull our troops out of Iraq.Democrats will use that to win in the primaries.Bush should pull out our troops just before the election to give the Republican party any chance to stay in control of the whitehouse.
I will vote for McCain whether Bush does that or not but I have my doubts as to whether McCain will run if it looks like Bush isnt going to do anything about bringing our troops home before the election.
I see the democratic ticket as Feingold easily beating Clinton.

I would love to see Rudy run for it. I can't think of any human being this country needs more in the White House than Guliani. I highly recommend his book "Leadership". He backs up everything he did for NYC with hardcore numbers to eliminate any doubt about his effectiveness. He also retraces his steps on 911 and it's quite intense. He and McCain are pretty good friends but they have very different approaches. Guliani is straight-to-the-point and draws a hardline, while McCain is very diplomatic and sensitive. That being said, I think they'd make a great team as running mates because they can balance each other out.
I don't think Bush will pull the troops out of Iraq, especially not just to ensure a Republican in the White House. He has too much integrity to drop another country into absolute turmoil just for the sake of an election. I think there will be less of our troops necessary though by 2008. The next Republican candidate will just have to distance him or herself from Bush and try to encourage the swing voters to make a judgment on the individual and not the party due to its last candidate.

Hence the reason I pray she runs.....
If Hitlery wins I will probably go to jail ...I own a bible and a gun ....with her thinking I would be a enemy combantant under the patriot act
Mitt Romney is a dark horse and is a very weak rebublican at best
McCain is a Bob Dole type canidate he is like a fart ..he goes which ever way the wind blows
Rudy is our best bet as far as a true Republican goes
Bill Frist is a good choice for the right too
and ol Newt could pop his head up
it should be interesting

I think a lot of you would be surprised if you read Hillary's voting record.
One of the reason I do NOT want her to run is because she has backed G. Bush tooooooooooo many times to suit me. I think she concerns herself more about getting elected, than about the people she is supposed to represent. I think the republicans WANT her to run and it is nothing but a big game they are all playing with the american people! Look at the way Bill and daddy Bush pal around all over the world.
I just wish we could have a real and honest election that wasn't controlled by money and power. I think that is one wish though, that I will never see granted.

I hope and pray the Hillary Clinton runs.. oh, what an easy defeat... Thats like.. handing the 2008 election over to the republicans in a silver platter.. we dont even need anybody with name recognization or experience... Clinton will destroy herself just by talking. Haha!
Now, if John Mccain runs against her... then it would be close.. cause, John Mccain (R-Arizona) is a Democrat (I know.. says hes a republican... but you live in his state and see what he votes on and you decide.. hes very left leaning) and Mccain has no supporters from the republican party...

So...are you going to offer anything to this debate, or just engage in commentary about what everyone else has already posted? As your friend Bill O'Reilly would say, "Do not be a popinjay".

A good guess at a couple of tickets might be:
Clinton (Hillary) versus Condie Rice. - A dream ticket for the Republicans ;>)
Another ticket that will never happen, but could be fun:
Arnold Schwazennegar versus John Edward (the psychic) ;>)
In all reality, the question of who will actually run leaves me thinking it will be a virtual unknown who will rise up in the Republican party. The Democratic candidate will also be a virtual unknown who will rise from obscurity. I'd predict that the democratic party will find itself needing a more middle of the road candidate in order to begin winning elections again and this will be realized by the party sometime in the next two years...
Spirit.
